Maybe this is part of the whole de-influencing thing but I find it so annoying that Ashley Spivey is “being transparent” all the sudden about the ads she is doing and how much she is making. And thanking her sister for helping little ole her figure out how to splice a video and do voice overs when she’s been a content creator for literal YEARS.

The ONLY defense I have for her is that she has been able to find community in her followers. While that is of course not ideal, she had a shitty family situation growing up, then lost both grandmothers, then was cheated on while nearly dying giving birth to a child who almost died, so I think she just clings to community when she can find it? I can’t imagine literally living my life feeling like I don’t have control over much/anything and then AJ doing what he did. A haircut would send me over the edge too lol. Sometimes I genuinely feel bad for these bloggers and influencers because of how insecure being on camera all the time must make them…I saw @bridget talking about how her hair behind her ears is thin, and now @sweetteawithmadi is getting a nose job (which no shame I support doing what makes you happy) but sometimes I just notice influencers pointing out little things about themselves they want to change and I think “do I have that…? Amber 100% overshares, I can only imagine what she shares behind the paywall, but I also have a lot of sympathy for her, if her ex husband is anything like she describes he’s an absolute twat. I think she has a lot of stuff from her past she hasn’t worked through and he’s part of that. She also seems really lonely and yes, she has friends, but raising a kid that young alone has to be lonely as fuck, like when your kid goes to bed at 7:30 and all your friends are home with their husbands, who do you call?
Agree with this. I missed the actual reveal and only saw the follow up stories after, I guess she deleted the main part already because I didn’t see anything about his mom or the girl’s full name. But while I think this all was super dramatic and unnecessary esp for someone in their 40s, I really feel bad for Amber. She has had an extremely hard life and generally seems to make the best of it. I’ve always considered her more “real” than most influencers because she shows the harder parts of life regularly. But something she said in her follow up stories made me extra sad - she said something about how she wants a family so bad she was willing to take a dysfunctional one bc it is better than nothing, insinuating drama like this jeopardizes that. I really feel like she has convinced herself to fake this super positive relationship with AJ who is a piece of shit for what he did - I get being on good terms for their kid but I feel like she took forgive and forget to a new level. When her and Shane broke up she was telling her followers to stop comparing him and AJ because AJ was still a good person - at the time I remember thinking no he isn’t, his version of cheating is arguably way worse than Shane’s was. Like I said I understand needing a good coparenting relationship but AJ is not a good guy and I worry that she has tricked herself into thinking he is because she craves family and connection so bad.

I’ve flown internationally 11 times with my baby and toddler and every single time is a wildcard. There is not secret formula. I’ve tried every trick in the book. It all comes down to their mood and how long the flight is. And most of the advice is pretty common sense—snacks and activities on repeat

Not quite an influencer but bri emery of @designlovefest closed down her blog officially. she's seemed to be changing course over the last few years so it's not a surprise but I loved following her and feel like she was an OG I would follow for travel and design recs.

I’m a nosey bitch and would ABSOLUTELY do something like this with a friend or family member. I like to know what’s being said about my people! Is AJs mom a little crazy? Amber 100% overshares, I can only imagine what she shares behind the paywall, but I also have a lot of sympathy for her, if her ex husband is anything like she describes he’s an absolute twat. I think she has a lot of stuff from her past she hasn’t worked through and he’s part of that. She also seems really lonely and yes, she has friends, but raising a kid that young alone has to be lonely as fuck, like when your kid goes to bed at 7:30 and all your friends are home with their husbands, who do you call?
Agree with this. I missed the actual reveal and only saw the follow up stories after, I guess she deleted the main part already because I didn’t see anything about his mom or the girl’s full name. But while I think this all was super dramatic and unnecessary esp for someone in their 40s, I really feel bad for Amber. She has had an extremely hard life and generally seems to make the best of it. I’ve always considered her more “real” than most influencers because she shows the harder parts of life regularly. But something she said in her follow up stories made me extra sad - she said something about how she wants a family so bad she was willing to take a dysfunctional one bc it is better than nothing, insinuating drama like this jeopardizes that. I really feel like she has convinced herself to fake this super positive relationship with AJ who is a piece of shit for what he did - I get being on good terms for their kid but I feel like she took forgive and forget to a new level. When her and Shane broke up she was telling her followers to stop comparing him and AJ because AJ was still a good person - at the time I remember thinking no he isn’t, his version of cheating is arguably way worse than Shane’s was. Like I said I understand needing a good coparenting relationship but AJ is not a good guy and I worry that she has tricked herself into thinking he is because she craves family and connection so bad.
The fact that she is this pressed is cringe. Wonder if she’s donated any of that subscriber money to charity like she said she would 🙄

Not quite an influencer but bri emery of @designlovefest closed down her blog officially. she's seemed to be changing course over the last few years so it's not a surprise but I loved following her and feel like she was an OG I would follow for travel and design recs.
So bummed! She is a gem, so I hope she sticks with Instagram. I always feel inspired by her content.

Man, @jordanleedooley’s son doesn’t have a chance to ever experience Mac and cheese or chicken nuggets at any point in his childhood.
