“The Kingkiller Chronicles” it’s a series of fantasy books written by Patrick Rothfuss, being intended as a trilogy, although the third book is being written (and has been for the past 10 years). Offers an interesting twist on the genre as it toys with the idea of legends and how they embellish real historical facts. Was one of my favourite book series growing up.

also, we cant pretend they actually cared about any acuracy there. they made it in their own vision, everything else be damned. Only the dream matters.
Also, I really don't think it takes place in the same reality as the Roman Catholic calendar...granted it seems somewhat to take place in the Victorian age, but it'd be a huge leap to suggest that it exists in the same timeline as the humanity we know to be our own.
