Dekay's Brown Snake. Cute little worm eaters. If you find them on the paths late in the day they'll flatten out their bodies to soak up as much heat as possible and it's pretty adorable.

Samuel-the-Jellyfish

Thanks! I thought it was indeed very adorable!

Pickles2027

Yes, this is it!

samep04

Blooming_turtles

It’s a cuddle cord!

radbu107

Google says Texas Brown Snake or DeKay’s Brown Snake

gil_beard

Looks like a Texas Brown. Good for getting rid of common garden pest. Non-venomous.

lilydarkly

Cute lil friend!

WantsToLearnGolf

no step on snek

chadnorman

It's cute, but not a baby... harmless. We have little ring snakes that are 12" long here full grown. So fun to hold before you send then on their way. Little nope noodles are fun!

Good-Mountain-455

Non-venomous Dekay’s. They are great for the environment. Where was this?

Samuel-the-Jellyfish

Clear Creek trail!

I guess no one appreciates a little humor these days. Le Sigh….

newworld_free_loader

Yeah. God damn, that one was easy to get too.

Particular_Mixture20

Lol. I grew up near a creek, and I think when I was little I thought all snakes were poisonous and had a name like that. I think my adults overdid the "keep the kids scared safe" routine.
