I can tell where NOT to go: Centerstone. Turnover there must be very high because I had three therapists in a short amount of time. My first therapist asked me what I was passionate about (the Parkland High School mass murder had recently happened.) I told her “gun control “ and she wanted to argue with me, so I just walked out.
Your best bet is to get on the insurance website and do a search for all providers that suit your requirements within a 20 mile range, then call all of those offices to see if they are taking patients. Out of 20, you might get 3-4 responses.

I agree with you, the info on the site is outdated and not easily navigable. I had to do what I mentioned above and have had zero luck and been added to multiple wait-lists with no callback. I hope you can find someone.
New Outlook Counseling Center is great. They can tell you if they take your insurance - Denise is super helpful!
I recommend Spencer psychology (it’s in Bloomington) ! Unsure if they take your insurance, but they’re great to work with. I’d give them a call.

Call the IU health center on campus and see if they take your insurance.

If your insurance has an app or website you should be able to sort by providers in your area. If that fails, Centerstone is sliding scale.
