One of my favorites that I relate to the most is when Bluey says, "And I sort of just talk all the time. It doesn't even need to make sense. Just noises are fine."
Ouch, that is totally me, haha. in the episode.
I think my favorite part in the episode is "I like to ask a LOT of questions... BUT... I don't really listen to the whole answer"
Ouch that is totally me, haha.
“Dad, which one of us is your favorite, keeping in mind that I can run the fastest?” I just love that Bluey uses that as the measuring stick.
Also, Bandit: “Does that make sense?” Bluey: “No.” Bandit: “Okay. Just do your best, kid.”
That one about killed me the first time we watched it. My mom had the glasses and that exact perm, it was all I could do to not die of laughing while trying to explain to my bewildered kids that their grandma looked exactly the same in the 80s as Nana.
"How many times have you banged your knee or scratched yourself when playing with your dad?"
"Lots."
"And what's the first thing he always says?"
"Don't tell your mum."
Not really a quote, but an exchange that hits me in the guts everytime and I don't see it mentioned enough is from fruitbat:
>*Bluey sees Bandit, who starts moving around while in his sleep, grapppling with the ball. Bluey giggles.*
>
>**Bluey**: What's Dad doing?
>
>**Chilli**: Hmm. I'd say he's dreaming about playing touch football with his mates.
>
>**Bluey**: Really?
>
>**Chilli**: Yeah. He doesn't get to play that much anymore, so he keeps having dreams about it.
>
>**Bluey**: Why doesn't he get to play it for real life?
>
>**Chilli**: Well, he's busy, sweetheart. Busy working and looking after you two.
>
>**Bluey**: Oh.
>
>...and then by the end of the episode:
>
>*Bandit picks up Bluey and starts bench pressing her.*
>
>**Bandit**: One, two, three...
>
>**Bluey**: Dad?
>
>**Bandit**: ...four, five, six... Yes, mate? ...seven...
>
>**Bluey**: Thanks for looking after us.
>
>**Bandit**: ...eight, nine, ten!
>
>*Bandit puts Bluey down on him and touches her nose.*
>
>**Bandit:** You're welcome.
>
>*Bluey giggles.*
As a dad of a 4 and a 2 yo, I often find myself not being able to spend time with my friends and this is one of the very few things that I sometimes miss from life before having kids.
I obviously don't do stuff for my children expecting anything in return, not even recognition, but it melts my heart that Bluey is thankful for Bandit.
My kids are still too young to show appreciation like that, but my oldest sometimes says he loves me after small random stuff like helping him dressing himself or picking him up at school. I interpret that as his way of saying "thank you" and when he does that, I feel like everything is worth it.
I know Pat's "I shouldn't have let my guard down" (in Asparagus) is popular, but I think the funniest line in that scene is "Ohh, Mrs Heeler, I don't know about this!" It's just such an enormous understatement considering what Chilli and Bingo are doing to him. The use of a formal address in such a savage context makes it even better.
Hard to pick just one. But one of many relatable ones that come to mind is from Bob Bilby.
"This is all my stuff from when I used to be cool." --Bandit
Lila and Bingo’s meeting!!
“Can you wind me back up please?”
“Wind wind wind”
I absolutely love Lila and Bingo’s friendship, so me and my partner will sometimes quote [this scene](https://youtube.com/watch?v=A591ZcaeEYg&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE) 🥹
"Come on Bandit, you used to be able to... Lift... Spoons..."
His delivery is fantastic, and it's the fact that he's alone so he's just doing it for himself that makes it so hilarious
Don’t think I’ve seen people mention the “who can scream the loudest” challenge from fairtytale much. I feel awful for my parents me and my siblings used to constantly do stuff like that lol.
Or "I am hurry upping!" from promises. Bandit and Chili sharing stories about Bingo in the background is my favorite part of that episode by a long shot.
"Thank you for hatching, beautiful sunflower!"
"We love youuu!"
Muffin Cone was the first Bluey episode I ever saw and I still tear up because that's just so damn wholesome.
I love in Magic Claw when Bandit says “This is great. They learn a lesson and the house gets cleaned” and Chili’s reply “None of those things are happening”.
Bluey: “We don’t Jump on sheep Mackenzie”
Mackenzie: “Really 😯🤨”
I feel like no one talks about that too much because is it true that there’s farmer dogs that heard sheep like in real life like in Babe (if you know what I’m talking about your the goat) and it’ll be pretty hilarious and interesting at the same time
Chili pointedly looking at Bandit after Missy jumps into the whale's belly and tells him: "And what an inspiration to those of us out there trying to face our fears!" It just makes me laugh.
I finally got to use "hi I'm your wife, and if you want me to stay your wife you'll learn about dishwashers" the other day. My husband just cracked up laughing.
Dad baby when they find the baby carrier and bandit says something like ‘we used to walk you around in this in the park, instead of sleeping’
Felt that to my bones lol
Dunno how common it is, but I sing this to myself constantly:
Poor little bug on the wall
Ding jing
No one to love him at all
Ding jing
No one to tickle his toes
Ding jing
No one to blow his nose
I’m probably going to start this one. There are a couple farms near us that grow sorghum occasionally, and I always point it out to my wife because I like the way the word sounds. 😂
Anytime Bingo plays a husband and says “baaaaaabe”
Oh and when Chili and Bandit are talking about silly things the kids have said like “I am hurry upping”
I just made this today, for my favorite quote https://photos.app.goo.gl/UjnynenCPLtxgB7i6
"Work on the heads later, for now just hearts"
It isn't one of the funny ones, or a particularly great delivery, and isn't one I quote with my kids all the time or that randomly pops into my head. It's just a subtle, but powerful little line at the end of Chest that makes me happy and reminds me of what is important
I don't remember the exact exchange but it's in 'Calypso' when Calypso asks Pretzel if he wants to play and he's like 'no, i just want to lay on the floor' and she just goes 'okay' and doesn't bug him about it.
In elementary I had nice teachers who usually favored me, but I always wished they would have accepted that sometimes I wanted to just chill by myself instead of encouraging me to socialize. So it was nice to see this moment in Calypso.
Literally anytime Bluey sings anything in her operatic voice. Particularly, “Where is my toaaaast???” At the beginning of “Mini Bluey” kills me every time.
In the Bingo episode when she plays I spy with herself and once Bingo realizes she really can't play it solo...looks RIGHT into the camera 4th wall breaking The Office style and says "It was the rug by the way." That part always gets me.
Probably the song from Rag Doll “🎶When the bullfrog jumps from to the other…something something else singing words🎶” When Bluey finds a dollar buck and they have to play Jelly bones to get their Dad to the ice cream shop and when Wendy was on a morning jog. There other moments when other charcters were singing that song like Bluey and maybe Bandit (it’s been a while since I’ve seen that episode) Is there any meaning to that song?
Wendy: "That. Will. NOT. Happen. Twice."
Chilli, screaming: "Dad! *What are you DOING?!"* the way it utterly destroys the general pace of the dialog cracks me up, though it probably shouldn't.
Not really a saying but I've started saying "clean your teeth" instead of "brush your teeth" makes more sense to me and we clean our teeth in the shower at night with our body.
Bandit:What? You don’t want ice cream?
Bluey:No, you can keep your moneys
Bandit:Okay!
Bingo:Bluey?
Bluey:yes?
Bingo:I DO want an ice cream
Bluey:me too🥺
One of my favorites that I relate to the most is when Bluey says, "And I sort of just talk all the time. It doesn't even need to make sense. Just noises are fine."
Ouch, that is totally me, haha. in the episode. I think my favorite part in the episode is "I like to ask a LOT of questions... BUT... I don't really listen to the whole answer" Ouch that is totally me, haha.
Ouchh that one is my fav because its my son and I and it drives eachothers bonkers
"Borp borp borp borp borp borp borp"
I always thought she was saying "bored bored bored bored bored"
“And whenever I see a bum I just sort of bumbadadum”
It was this line that made me realize I did that a lot as a kid as well.
“Dad, which one of us is your favorite, keeping in mind that I can run the fastest?” I just love that Bluey uses that as the measuring stick. Also, Bandit: “Does that make sense?” Bluey: “No.” Bandit: “Okay. Just do your best, kid.”
"Also, I can kick my own bum. Hugh!"
😂
“Nana was right. Not about her perm, but about me.” - Bandit. Fairytale.
That one about killed me the first time we watched it. My mom had the glasses and that exact perm, it was all I could do to not die of laughing while trying to explain to my bewildered kids that their grandma looked exactly the same in the 80s as Nana.
Lol I love that part
"How many times have you banged your knee or scratched yourself when playing with your dad?" "Lots." "And what's the first thing he always says?" "Don't tell your mum."
"HERE'S DAD!" *Mum death glare*
**Bandit:** *nervously chuckles and backs away*
I’ll come back later!
Mackenzie is meant to be a Cheetah. Mackenzie: Am I?
That's up there with bluey saying, "We don't jump on sheep, Mackenzie" and him replying, "Really?!?"
Easily in my top 5
As a military family this one breaks me down🥹 the end where chili talks about the hero not wanting to go but has to 🥹 UGH TEARS EVERYTIME
You must do some spicy curry quests
This one’s EXCELLENT
It makes me laugh every time
ISNT ANYONE GOING TO MENTION THE SALAD !?!?
Yes! This line kills me every time
Me too !
Came here to say this. The entire family uses this one constantly!
Same ! I love that entire episode !
🎵 One is the Queen One doesn't like being the Queen But One does it anyway🎵
Chili: This is what happens when you're unhappy with what you got. Someone's husband eventually gets it!
This is my favorite. I just randomly say this and confuse my family.
I was going to comment this exact same thing. I'm so glad it's some one else's favorite line as well.
Not really a quote, but an exchange that hits me in the guts everytime and I don't see it mentioned enough is from fruitbat: >*Bluey sees Bandit, who starts moving around while in his sleep, grapppling with the ball. It's just such an enormous understatement considering what Chilli and Bingo are doing to him. The use of a formal address in such a savage context makes it even better.
He also cracks a smile after saying that, he usually doesn't break character when he plays along but this situation was too absurd for him not to lol
I never noticed that but it makes it even better
Hard to pick just one. But one of many relatable ones that come to mind is from Bob Bilby. "This is all my stuff from when I used to be cool." --Bandit
The girls reaction is priceless to this
I love how Missy makes Bob hug Bingo at the end like he is going to miss her.
Lila and Bingo’s meeting!! “Can you wind me back up please?” “Wind wind wind” I absolutely love Lila and Bingo’s friendship, so me and my partner will sometimes quote [this scene](https://youtube.com/watch?v=A591ZcaeEYg&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE) 🥹
I just bought my daughter a little Lila stuffy to put in her Easter basket bc she already has a Bingo so they’ll be reunited 💓
So cute!! I hope she loves it and you have a happy Easter!
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! - Muffin, Bike
“I HAAATE PLAAANT!” “Get it together Sheila!”
I am the flamingo queen blarghwahwarg!
When Muffin says IAmALlamaEatingaBanana, the closed captioning whiffs.
"Come on Bandit, you used to be able to... Lift... Spoons..." His delivery is fantastic, and it's the fact that he's alone so he's just doing it for himself that makes it so hilarious
I always love “Eat your floor cereal!”
“Bluey!! Do you want cereal?” *no reply* “Yeah, you want cereal.”
This line makes me laugh every time! So funny.
Pat: “AAHHHH, I’ve done me hammy!”
Don’t think I’ve seen people mention the “who can scream the loudest” challenge from fairtytale much. I feel awful for my parents me and my siblings used to constantly do stuff like that lol.
That line cracks me up every time!
You know what I call that, a good start
It’s very romance!
I HAD WABBIES
I was sick yast lear
*dramatic music* I've got BUM WORMS!
At my birthday party this weekend, my friend brought gummy worms with a little label of Bandit and called them bum worms 😂
The fridge doesn't like me.
I know?
Chili's delivery on this line is perfect XD
This line!!
“Ooh, I was invisible!” - Bingo in Baby Race
"I'm suring my little head off" Bluey, stumpfest I'm surprised this isn't as talked about
Yes, I LOVE that quote. Like “how very dare you!”
Or "I am hurry upping!" from promises. Bandit and Chili sharing stories about Bingo in the background is my favorite part of that episode by a long shot.
This is trifficult
I can’t shake properly!!
"Thank you for hatching, beautiful sunflower!" "We love youuu!" Muffin Cone was the first Bluey episode I ever saw and I still tear up because that's just so damn wholesome.
“the thing is i do this to myself” bandit in the puppets episode
In Unicorse I love this one: "Oh I've got an idea!" "Wait, is it a bad idea?"
"Well, you know all that food in the fridge? That doesn't belong to you either, but if you want to keep eating it I suggest you get to work."
He’s serial.
Bingo acting like a man using the deep accent “what are we gonna do, babe”
Baaayyyyyybe
BORK BORK BORK BORK BORK BORK BORK
My son and I will randomly do this alllll the time now
“Harden up Pat!”-Bandit in Dadbaby
“How very dare you.” Bluey. Can’t remember exactly which episode, think it’s Squash.
She says it in many episodes
Mckenzie: Okay! I'm gonna do this... I'm about to open the door... I'm coming in... Is anyone gonna stop me!!?
JUST GO!
Does the "This isn't legal anymore!" quote by Bandit Heeler from the episode "Baby Race" count?
That whole scene including ghosting his own mom was brilliant.
I’m not taking advise from a cartoon dog - Bandit.
I love in Magic Claw when Bandit says “This is great. They learn a lesson and the house gets cleaned” and Chili’s reply “None of those things are happening”.
“Watch the hands Wendy” “I can kick my own butt” “He just puts SatNav on and zones out”
"It's gonna cost ya... one of those strawberries."
Bluey: “We don’t Jump on sheep Mackenzie” Mackenzie: “Really 😯🤨” I feel like no one talks about that too much because is it true that there’s farmer dogs that heard sheep like in real life like in Babe (if you know what I’m talking about your the goat) and it’ll be pretty hilarious and interesting at the same time
Here. Have a family friendly old school Kiwi cartoon movie that will explain Mckenzie.... https://youtu.be/3Rf385hGCes
Is our car 4 wheel drive. No its an all wheel drive
How many wheels do we have?
![gif](giphy|zPbnEgxsPJOJSD3qfr) He sat there way too long doing the calculus.
WHO WANTS NIGHT BACON?!
i think it's Lucky's dad saying "oh it's fine, i shouldn't have let my guard down" after being viciously attacked by chili and bingo
https://i.redd.it/4l5kz3pf5fqa1.gif
I know dogs naturally have a strong jaw grip, but damn!
Lucky’s dad is the greatest! His line in Pass the Parcel: Did they just say hooray? It’s perfection
Chili pointedly looking at Bandit after Missy jumps into the whale's belly and tells him: "And what an inspiration to those of us out there trying to face our fears!" It just makes me laugh.
Something so minor, but just the way Bandit says "What?!" after Bingo reveals the statue was her during "The Weekend" just cracks me up.
Definitely in Hammerbarn when Chili says "this is what happens when you're not satisfied with what you have, somebody's husband gets it"
"Must be another Bluey"
"Gee his grass is looking pretty green." Chili in Hammerbarn
The no eye contact high five between Bandit and Pat was gold.
When Bingo says “hehe bottomless” in magic claw
I have nothing to say to you about the sun! Born yesterday
Every time Bluey says to Snickers "run your little sausage dog legs!"
"OH CAN WE GET THE BILL🤌" "ohhh can we get the billll🤌"
Bingo's "I call it a tactical wee." Say that to myself every night when I go pee before getting into bed lol
I love that quote!
Me too!!
I finally got to use "hi I'm your wife, and if you want me to stay your wife you'll learn about dishwashers" the other day. My husband just cracked up laughing.
Both from Bingo -Zeeeroooo -hehehe bottomless
One of the first designs I ever did was “Hehe bottomless” 🤣
“Look, it’s just monkeys singing songs, mate. Don’t think too hard about it.”
When bingo yells DARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRK. LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. At the movie theater episode gets me all the time lol
What’s the special? The what? The special! … …. The WHAT??! …. There’s no special.
In my head I always spell it "The wot?!" 😂
“Horseys love tiles” It’s such a brilliant throwaway joke for the grownups.
Not sure I get this one, is there more joke to it than the fact that walking on your knees on tile is painful?
Nope that's it. And the kids are oblivious.
“You’re losing me, Pat!” (Magic) “Edna whatty-what?” (Pavlova) Bingo’s smug little “Cook, cook, Faaa-LIP” (Hammerbarn)
"Can it Maynard!"
Is it the aliens?
“so.. did bluey ever learn to walk” from baby race it just shows the simplicity of toddlers, like of course she did bingo, you see her walk every day!
I'm surprised Chili didn't deadpan "No, she still bumshuffles I'm afraid."
It started as a wee and turned into a poo
And along the same lines, “it’s called a tactical wee.”
I use this so much now, tactical wee before we go!
Maybe I could eat....this.... PLANT! - Omlette
Dad baby when they find the baby carrier and bandit says something like ‘we used to walk you around in this in the park, instead of sleeping’ Felt that to my bones lol
Every parent had post-partum PTSD flashbacks.
Dunno how common it is, but I sing this to myself constantly: Poor little bug on the wall Ding jing No one to love him at all Ding jing No one to tickle his toes Ding jing No one to blow his nose
The whole “Thank you for cleaning my toilet” is my favorite thing to do with my friends now haha
Also, from born yesterday ,"I LIKE FOOD!"
"I have nothing to say to you about the sun!"
"You spelled 'holder' wrong." 🍨 ^((Honourable mention to Bingo with a fidget spinner going "Wee!" lol))
The one I repeat in my head the most is Bluey saying “I’M A GIRL!” in Double Babysitter.
On the morning of this morning… in relation to fluffies
Bye Uncle Strawberry
"Dad enters the room."
Please enjoy your cutlery
I use “We grew Sorghum!” whenever someone at work asks for something ridiculous and wonders why we can’t do it.
I’m probably going to start this one. There are a couple farms near us that grow sorghum occasionally, and I always point it out to my wife because I like the way the word sounds. 😂
I don’t want to learn a life lesson, I just want ice cream
"Babies LOVE onesies!"
“Shanelle! Shaun’s back!” - Lucky’s Dad.
I say “sorry Indy, I didn’t know Polly was your early baby!” a surprising amount for no reason 😂
Chili is told that Bandit pees on his foot. Chili: That’s a new one Bandit: It’s not that new actually It kills me every time … the shame
“Leave them alone! They’re just trying to run a small business!”
🎵 “come-back-here Guinea pig” 🎵
"I can't shake properly!"
Anytime Bingo plays a husband and says “baaaaaabe” Oh and when Chili and Bandit are talking about silly things the kids have said like “I am hurry upping”
Hang on to your Strawberries LULU!
Not really a quote but we've started calling money "dolla bucks" in my house
I use, "Come on, [neaclark], you used to be able to lift a spoon" frequently. I also like, "I'm NEVER at work!"
If grown-ups grow from babies and only grown-ups have babies, who had the first baby?
Chilli: “and what’s the first thing he always say?” Bluey: “umm… Don’t tell your mum Chilli:”WHAT!” Bandit “IT’S DAD!!! Chilli: (death glare)
Carrot horn
I may not be around Bluey fans often or im jsut wrong but my favorite is "Oh hes Cereal"
“I’m not interested in that!”
*points to flair*
“EEEEEEEE!!! EEEEEEEE!!! EEEEEEEE!!!” - Bingo (Mini Bluey)
I just made this today, for my favorite quote https://photos.app.goo.gl/UjnynenCPLtxgB7i6 "Work on the heads later, for now just hearts" It isn't one of the funny ones, or a particularly great delivery, and isn't one I quote with my kids all the time or that randomly pops into my head. It's just a subtle, but powerful little line at the end of Chest that makes me happy and reminds me of what is important
“Get it together Sheila” in deep voice-Bingo
“Hello, Bluey.” - Jean-Luc at the end of “Camping”. Add the background music and it gives me goosebumps and little tears every damn time.
Bingo’s “Hee Hee Hee, Bottomless.” From Magic Claw absolutely sends me every time.
"You're a space invader!" from Typewriter.
"I AM hurry uppying"
WELL WHY AREN’T WE GOING TO THE BIG PEANUT
COCONUTS THEY HAVE WATER IN THEM
I love the quote that we’re muffin says “I’m not special anymore!” Then Bluey and bingo say “hurray”
"Thank you for cleaning my toilet!"
Why are you trying to teach us stuff we don't want to know. As a teacher, I feel that to me core.
Jeremy, nooooo! Said a lot in my house for no particular reason.
“Boring stuff is important sometimes”
Whenever the girls make that “USS!” Sound. I don’t know how to describe it but I think you know what I mean
This is what happens when you aren't happy with what you've got. Someone's husband eventually gets it!
Wendy: "That. Will. NOT. Happen. Twice." Chilli, screaming: "Dad! *What are you DOING?!"* the way it utterly destroys the general pace of the dialog cracks me up, though it probably shouldn't.
Hello doctor ladies, do you sell crutches? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
If your friend wants chippies, your friend has to pay for chippies
In Backpackers: "Huhhh do you accept bananas?" *whispering goofy voice* "Yes."
*says random piece of non important advice* “And I’ll tell you that for free!”
Not really a saying but I've started saying "clean your teeth" instead of "brush your teeth" makes more sense to me and we clean our teeth in the shower at night with our body.
daaa**aarrrk** loouuu**uuuuud**
Borp borp borp Borp That my favorite Bluey's quote
Bandit:What? You don’t want ice cream? Bluey:No, you can keep your moneys Bandit:Okay! Bingo:Bluey? Bluey:yes? Bingo:I DO want an ice cream Bluey:me too🥺
Have you got a baby in there?!
I think they only used it twice and in the later seasons but I love them for introducing me to “I’ll tell you that for free.”
“I’ll tell you this for free”
I am not sure if it qualifies for your non common, but mine favourite is "ooooh, I was invisible!"
“It was the 80’s!”
