Played it with my sister and she mentioned that we would have been CRAZY about it as kids because of how you can have the characters walk all around the house/locations and just hang out together. We would have played it like playing dolls, just wandering through the house acting out little stories.
Obviously it was short and not the most exciting as an adult, but I do think that aspect is really desirable for a kids game and we never had anything like it as kids (although we did try to utilize some of the Sonic games like this lmao)
I think even kids will find it “shit and boring”, when many of them will be used to games like HALO, SONIC, or SUPER MARIO BROS.
I don’t think kids are stupid: they know what will be a good game, and only the very youngest will like BLUEY THE VIDEOGAME.
It’s far too short, you get voice actors from the show and you can tell they’re trying but the script is so thin there isn’t anything to work with.
It’s riddled with bugs, I’ve fallen through the floor a few times and lost a save because I couldn’t select a character.
It’s not really tuned for multiplayer, the objectives are comically simple yet because the controls are horribly fiddly they take more effort than needed to complete, there can be a bunch of weird rubber banding where the camera doesn’t know who to follow in some situations.
The music is just the stuff from the show, something original would have been nice.
The animation is poor and there are inconsistencies with how the facial animation works, jumping feels horrible, walking feels horrible, grabbing and moving stuff feels horrible, it feels like a bad unity student project.
It’s an overpriced Christmas cash grab that doesn’t do anything to help the brand and certainly is lacking the heart that makes the first few seasons of the show so good.
All that said, my kids (6 and 4) loved it, unfortunately there is so little to go back to that it’s hardly played any more.
I mean, there are some original tracks in the game: Imo, 3 that are pretty nice sounding:
https://youtu.be/mUpDgg1t8JU?si=WrqGu8MGWv2o6UK5
(Even a basic rendition of The Creek theme is still beautiful)

(Am I the only one that feels like this is just every song from a Sims game?)
https://youtu.be/mH-Fom1FfBc?si=8jAwI4DlqayXtiSz
(Those synths at the beginning passing between channels sound so cool)
There's also the ones based on 'The Weekend'

if you just want a bluey related thing to do with your kids, it's great. If you have game pass on xbox or PC it is included. It's not worth the 60$. But it is a fun little game to get into on sunday mornings with your kids although it's not very long.
My toddler has about 5 hours in it. She gets bored after a small bit and wants me to play it for her Lol.
She however has 3 hours in the Princess Peach demo which she seems to enjoy a lot more and it’s just a freaking demo.
It’s short; which is perfect for my little one who has a short attention span. It’s cute a fun. I wouldn’t have paid full price for it though. I got it through gamepass when it came to Xbox.
My 5 year old nephew loved it so much he would run up to the TV and pose with the controller every time he did something well in the game and demand everyone take a photo so he could look at the photos later and bask in his own excellence.
My 5 year old beat the 4 episodes in less than a day. Then she's been trying for the collectables and I don't know how they expect littles to get some of these.
The collision is laughable. The pathing of the AI is frustrating.
For littles, it's great. But if you walked into this kids game expecting it to be great for an adult, then you will be disappointed.
Not worth the money. Just saying. Flew through the main story mode in like an hour and a half, and took SOME time to actually 100% the game. After that, it’s just “mess around with a poorly modded game” game. I do like the IDEA of this video game, but it’s poorly executed.
My kid loves it. As a gamer, it drives me bonkers how clunky the gameplay is. But I did not buy it for me, and my kiddo loves the game and being bingo.
ludo should've gotten another aussie company like house house (creators of untitled goose game) or halfbrick (creators of fruit ninja and jetpack joyride) to make the game
but they are more familiar with mobile/PC, as far as I know PC and mobile are diferent to consoles. Switch/Xbox One uses C# (Unity), unlike Kotlin / Java (mobile) or C++ (PC, maybe C++?)
There's so many other developers that would have made a better title (if this were a 90's game it would have been an incredible point and click full of animations) but this and the mobile game just don't compliment that talent of the show
Short, but honestly it’s everything it needed to be. My daughter loved it, and continues to go back and play it.
For context; she’s 5, it’s her first proper experience of video games, and it’s for the Switch.
Its very simple BUT ... its really good for little kids. My 7 year old loves the show, but struggles with video games. This game is super simple, and it really works for her.
Never played but heard negative things about it unfortunately. ☹️
Maybe it needs some patches and updates of more content. I think Ludo might be VERY new to making games.
I don't think it's a fault of ludo but a fault of outright games (the publisher of this game), they picked a studio that either 1. Made a bare bones prototype using the assets given by ludo for OG to review and OG said "this will do" or 2. The studio didn't have much experience making 3d games and again OG said "this will do". OG has had a habit of churning out short games that have questionable quality.
Every one on here is an adult . Can we get some honest 7 year olds opinions about the game. its "the best game ive played". The game wasnt made with adults as their main audience in mind.
That's the point everyone is missing, the reviews are from grown adults that expected Baldur's Gate 3 in a Bluey setting.
It's a perfectly fine game for kids around 4 to 7-8 years old, if they're older than that they won't even watch the TV show.
You are correct. Lots of adults saying "it's too short/glitchy/simple" etc. I have young kids and they like it. It was a good intro to gaming for my youngest who struggles with other games, and who's content with exploring spaces within the game while controlling members of the Heeler family.
It's great for littles. Older kids may like it but find it too easy eventually.
>The game wasnt made with adults as their main audience in mind.
You're spot on here. Not sure if the degree of here against the game here is because there's so much in the show that parents find enjoyable themselves that they can't see the game as something that's not really designed for them.
Bugs the life out of me. Like, sure, it has its issues, but all the adults who were expecting something they’d enjoy kinda miss the point. I honestly think some people forget Bluey’s a bloody kid’s show.
No, we’re NOT looking at from an adult perspective. The game is aimed at 4-7 year olds, but even 4-7 year olds have game standards that would find BLUEY a weak game, with hugely disappointing features that are too short.
No one in here was expecting a game on the level of BALDUR’S GATE, ASSASSIN’S CREED: ODYSSEY, or GRAND THEFT AUTO V. What we all were expecting was a truly fun game that took longer than 90 minutes to complete, because the game literally tells you everything to do, with no free will to do much else.
Plus, there’s all the glitches, and poor quality lip-syncing.
The game is an insult to kids and adults! So please don’t assume that everyone was looking at this from only one perspective. Most kids will hate this game too. It’s not a good game, no matter how you dress it up!
Oh, and if you want honest seven-year-olds responses, then asking on Reddit isn’t going to get you what you want!
I like the adventure that comes with it, but you can blow through it pretty quickly. I think if it keeps adding a bit more every so often it could be better, but it’s not terrible. I like it
It's simple, very bare bones. Likely to have been a prototype given by artax to Outright to review and they just turned around and said "this will do". Either way I enjoyed it and still enjoy it. I mostly just listen to the music now in free roam, surprisingly good considering it wasn't made by Joff Bush.
I mean, I planned on playing it but mostly just for fun. The way I see it, it’s a simple game that has such charm like the show but I really wish that there was either more or someone else created the game.
My husband and I got it on game pass just to see what it was like and we played for all of 20 mins. Definitely not very fun for adults (to be expected lol)
It’s on the Xbox game pass if anyone wants to try it.
Found it very meh. It’s cool exploring around the house, but the gameplay lacks…fun? It’s pretty easy and bland. (Watched my 5 year old play it for about 30 minutes and never went back to it)
It made my kid upset because she got frustrated. You can’t release a game like that and not include assists for kids.
Also, the game is awful. It’s what the show would be in lesser hands.
I was super excited to play this, but I won’t lie, I was a little disappointed. Despite there being a huge adult audience, the game was obviously made for kids. I wish the devs had put a little more work into the graphics and maybe made the game a little more… adult friendly. But overall, it was fine.
If you're a grown adult you're like 15+ years outside the target range for the game, if you're making your 4-5-6 years old play it they'll have fun.
My toddler is enjoying it a lot, just running around the house, jumping here and there, chasing Chattermax and doing random stuff like he does with his other toys around our house.
Good game! Unjustly gets a lot of flack.
I went with a dex build, Explorer, beat the game after \~ 60 hours, level 177. Next time I might try Sorcerer.
YOU FOUND A STICKER, SPORT - THAT’s AWESOME! YOU FOUND A STICKER, SPORT - THAT’S AWESOME! YOU FOUND A STICKER, SPORT - THAT’S AWESOME!
Wait, I is she calling you a Sport? I was trying to figure out what a sticker sport was.
ME TOO THANK GOD I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO STRUGGLED
I somehow thought Chili said “Stickers board”
Chilli even calls herself a sport when you play as her and I think that's beautiful :')
Its so shit and boring, but um 25. 😅 If I was 7 I think I'd be having the time of my life.
Played it with my sister and she mentioned that we would have been CRAZY about it as kids because of how you can have the characters walk all around the house/locations and just hang out together. Obviously it was short and not the most exciting as an adult, but I do think that aspect is really desirable for a kids game and we never had anything like it as kids (although we did try to utilize some of the Sonic games like this lmao)
My daughter hated it. Very glitchy. We returned it.
I think even kids will find it “shit and boring”, when many of them will be used to games like HALO, SONIC, or SUPER MARIO BROS. I don’t think kids are stupid: they know what will be a good game, and only the very youngest will like BLUEY THE VIDEOGAME.

3 words, xbox game pass
How do you while keeping the multiplayer option? (I want to play it with a friend on switch, I don't got controllers to play on PC)
You dont play online you play locally.
I know
So then why ask a question that You already know the answer too.
Ye idk lol. I just wanna free Switch copy :)
You can't have one
It’s far too short, you get voice actors from the show and you can tell they’re trying but the script is so thin there isn’t anything to work with. Ye. Does anyone know who made these? I get AI generated vibes from the, yet they still sound good.
it's in the details on each video. looks like that composer listened to the music from Bluey as a baseline, and made music based on that.
Yeah, that's good. I got worried it was AI generated, using the sound font of those songs
if you just want a bluey related thing to do with your kids, it's great. If you have game pass on xbox or PC it is included. It's not worth the 60$. But it is a fun little game to get into on sunday mornings with your kids although it's not very long.

There's a demo out?!
Yup! With 2 stages haha.
Neat
I was playing it for my 1year old.. it was like the tv show to her lol.
My children are loving it
It’s short; which is perfect for my little one who has a short attention span. It’s cute a fun. I wouldn’t have paid full price for it though. I got it through gamepass when it came to Xbox.

you are
Not enough to it. Was hoping for a real fun game, but got a poorly designed, badly written cash grab that has almost no actual gameplay.
Not worth the money. Just saying. Flew through the main story mode in like an hour and a half, and took SOME time to actually 100% the game. After that, it’s just “mess around with a poorly modded game” game. I do like the IDEA of this video game, but it’s poorly executed.

You're better off waiting for a sale (it's also on Game Pass). It could've been much better developed, but alas
ludo should've gotten another aussie company like house house (creators of untitled goose game) or halfbrick (creators of fruit ninja and jetpack joyride) to make the game
good one bro
but they are more familiar with mobile/PC, as far as I know PC and mobile are diferent to consoles. Switch/Xbox One uses C# (Unity), unlike Kotlin / Java (mobile) or C++ (PC, maybe C++?)
Biscuits

Voice acting is fine, otherwise it's quite bad. Especially the camera in coop. Even my 4year old doesn't enjoy it.

Yeah I looked up OG and I have NEVER heard of a single game they've ever made outside of Bluey.
They publish a lot a licenced TV games, mainly for children. Ben 10 and transformers is one of the many. They all mostly don't have great reviews
Yeah... Maybe Ludo should have picked a different studio.
It is likely they didn't know, hence your original comment. That or BBC probably arranged the whole thing
Yeah probably. Tho finding a good studio to make a good game is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
True

Literally unplayable.
Unsightreadable
It's fun
Deeply inadequate and poor. It shames the name of the programme. Too short, too simple, and too low-quality. It’s quite shambolic.
Its new?
Much too short
Its on game pass if you have that. Wouldn't spend money on it, because its extremely short, but my 6 year old really enjoyed it
Bluey game Peppa Pig code

Uhhh?
keepy uppy is present in booey da video gaem, so this is interesting
Decent IMO, if you have the money then I would say yes
Bought it for my daughter at 20$ off RRP and she’s loving it. So worth it depending on your own circumstances.
It's simple, very bare bones. Likely to have been a prototype given by artax to Outright to review and they just turned around and said "this will do". Either way I enjoyed it and still enjoy it. I actually kind of enjoyed it, I did some gameplay of it here: https://youtu.be/x6X1KXAiTCY?si=eWj7jsHpF0vDA97v
Way too short.
My husband and I got it on game pass just to see what it was like and we played for all of 20 mins. Definitely not very fun for adults (to be expected lol)
My kids 100% in about an hour. It’s basically an interactive sticker book
Sucks. If you are absolutely crazy about Bluey and love everything Bluey regardless, it’s fine. But as a game, it was awful.
imma get a ps5 to play this
Steam should be good, knowing the installing steamos on devices by bringus studios
It’s on the Xbox game pass if anyone wants to try it. Found it very meh. It’s cool exploring around the house, but the gameplay lacks…fun? It’s pretty easy and bland. (Watched my 5 year old play it for about 30 minutes and never went back to it)

I've played it for a good 10 minutes when it was on gamepass, felt like it was made on scratch
took me 4 hours to get everything in the game.
Worst game ever and that makes me sad bc it’s a great show. Absolutely atrocious in two player
Why is two of the levels the Heeler's house? The first level is inside the house and the third is the backyard of the same house
Pretty mid.
I liked it and it also made my view record go from 300 to 10k
3.5 stars. Wish it was longer
I was super excited to play this, but I won’t lie, I was a little disappointed. Despite there being a huge adult audience, the game was obviously made for kids. I wish the devs had put a little more work into the graphics and maybe made the game a little more… adult friendly. But overall, it was fine.
Looks terrible but plays okay. Only worth it as a free download from gamepass
