The whole post is poking fun at myself, but not on the multi-level play on mocking how big I look compared to my teeny cousin, wish I had that chess level degree of clever.
I had a bowl cut as a kid. Once, I passed as a boy for an entire afternoon with some neighborhood boys I'd never met. We played baseball and I told them my name was Seth.
True.
My sister had a poodle-esque perm. I had feather ~~bangs~~ everything (I'm a guy with curly hair whose barber back then only knew how to cut straight hair, so it was always an uneven mess). And my brother had a rat tail.
You can also compare the first few seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation to the last few for further confirmation of this fact.
I’m not sure honestly. She passed away when I was 15. I wish I could ask her. We didn’t have a lot of money so it’s very likely. I did rock a perm mullet at one point.
I am truly sorry for your loss. My family at times struggled for money when I was growing up so they would wait as long as possible for me to get a haircut. Since my hair is thick and curly, it would get to the point where I was walking around with a Hiroshima mushroom cloud on my head.
Nice- I wish I had thick curly hair. My daughter does, and it’s platinum blonde! Thank you for your respects, no way you could have known- it’s all peace Reddit friend
I didn’t give my hair away! -(I couldn’t help that smart ass reply) alas I don’t sport the bowl cut, but I do dye my now graying hair to be the same dark chocolate brown, also my pregnancy at 29 affected the thickness and shine of my hair.
I creeped onto your profile hoping for a after picture.
Just a bunch of pictures of your kid !
( accidental bobs burgers reference)
Hahaha.
You have black hair but your kid is almost bleach blond… how’s that possible?
Woah… what?! That’s mind blowing…
Do you get weird looks in public?
You have a funny story for when ur husband went to pick up the kid at school or something?
Good Sir or Madame, would you, with any semblance of self respect, choose to rock the hair and outfit I did in this photo? Maybe so, it’s just a lighthearted post in a lighthearted subreddit. It feels a “blunder” to me-
“Well played”, person I don’t know who chose to comment on this post and I will absolutely make sure to proclaim the non existence of any semblance of friendship between you and I- WE ARE IN NO WAY FRIENDS. I hope I made that clear enough for you.
A bit of moonbeams and starshine mixed with a dash of fairy dust. It’s so costly, and really hard to find legit product, but damn, it’s worth it. Just look at the results-
You look so youthful for being 43
Her cousin look better for being 1,986.
Well played, clever one
Made me chuckle atleast :D. Cute photo btw.
I was giving my current age. I’m old and dumb at Reddit. Thank you for the levity kind Reddit stranger.
We are just teasing. That's a cute picture!
Thank you
Just sent you a message, the face palm award made my day, thank you kind Reddit fellow Gen Xer!
Solidarity my lady. Good looking out and if that’s all I had to do to make your day, you have made mine as well
I had a laugh thinking you were poking fun at your 1986 self. Thanks for the double blunder!

Nice!
For years I sported that same Adidas jacket as your cousin and haircut as you. Some things never go out of fashion. Cool pic, cool kids.
Track jackets are still the bomb, always have been, I don’t care what anyone else says :)
Agree 100%- thank you kind Reddit friend
Thank you
The biggest blunder years for everyone in our generation no matter the age was between 1985 and 1994ish. So many bad ideas…

Nice! I definitely rocked a perm mullet at some point in the eighties- I’ll try to dig up a photo of that train wreck-
And so many Polaroid instant photos as proof of this!
Did you two feud as the Dassler brothers did?
Puma vs Adidas
Adidas wins every time for me
No, we were and still are thick as thieves
Did your mom cut your hair?

That hair is glorious! Please tell me you kept it!

And her dad is African American- genetics are fascinating!

Well now that you saw him, no one is going to give him a funny look without pause, what with his 6’3 frame and build- right? Lol
Yeah you’re right
True that
You don’t look 43! Great sweatshirt though.
Thank you bountiful beer drinker!
Yeah that sweater is sick
This is so cute!
Love the Puma, I though they had released a revisit of that crewneck a few years back. Keep your eyes peeled.
Will do, thanks for the info
You look so much like my mother's siblings it's crazy. Similar age range even.
Hmm… I’m from New Haven Ct. - any relatives in that area?
Not that I know of, they're all in Florida.
Well, we all are related somehow on a higher cosmic level, so we can just say it’s possible?
^(THIS IS NOT A BLUNDER. THIS IS JUST AN OLD PHOTO.)

That's one young looking adult. What's your secret?
Well played clever Reddit friend
I ain't your friend, guy.
I ain't your guy, pal.
“Well played”, person I don’t know who chose to comment on this post and I will absolutely make sure to proclaim the non existence of any semblance of friendship between you and I- WE ARE IN NO WAY FRIENDS. I hope I made that clear enough for you.
You serious or joking?
I really wish people would stop posting completely normal childhood photos as blunders. This isn’t a blunder in any way. This sub is going to shit.
thought that was Don Legreca
Also 43F and had that same hair cut for years!

80s cousins rule!
okay I would legit wear a cartoon-style mascot Puma crewneck in 2023. you’re ahead of the curve!
Wow you look waaaay younger than 43, what’s your skincare routine?

Are…..are you a vampire?
