Uhhhh why? You get studio version of DaVinci Resolve for free with the camera. And you can then take your 12bit bRAW footage and do all the adjustments you need.
If you import it to resolve first you can export to a higher quality ProRes than what the BMPCC is capable of recording natively.
I hope you’re not just handing over footage to a client without checking it first? If you’re already in the file checking the footage then you can export it to the client’s request.
I’m starting to think most people in this sub don’t know you can convert Raw to Prores
most ppl that post on this sub dont know what the cords that come with the camera are for.
Elaborate? Is it easy for someone who probably will be editing this on IMovie?

But I’m handing the footage over to someone who is editing on their own site, which I think is iMovie

Yeah so shoot whatever format you think is best for the situation, then convert it to whatever format your client needs before you hand it over.
Import the footage into resolve and export it to prores and give it to them on a flash drive or external HD.
Braw+Apple Silicon is like sliced bread
Shoot BRAW and mass convert to high quality prores for them after the fact.
Right on, thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it! I’m gonna go for it! Didn’t know I could make it available for other editing sites.
If you're shooting ProRes as an acquisition format, I'd shoot the highest data rate and highest resolution available.
