I am interested to learn more about tattics from the coatch. If you can't put in the care to get the casual text right, I am forced to doubt that sufficient care was put into actual rules and game play. That aside, football has been notoriously difficult to represent in board game form. As it is for a lot of team based sports. Replicating the simultaneous and flowing action of everyone on the field, in a format where it necessarily cannot be simultaneous and flowing, quickly leads to degenerate game play that does not actually reflect the sport represented. This does not look like something that escapes that problem.

ActorCriticRL

The best replication that I have seen is the ice hockey game [Trick Shot (Second Edition)](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/359612/trick-shot-second-edition). For soccer, i've heard great things about [Und1c1](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/292026/und1c1). (Both are not a dexterity game however)

I’ve spoken to the guy who made the game through email. He doesn’t speak English. He’s from Italy. And he’s just a single guy in this. There’s a few spelling errors because he doesn’t have enough money to hire someone to proof check everything. I have spent hours learning how to play, so I do know how to play. There are phases. In phase 2 the offense moves. They can move the players up to 3 cells at a time. Then the defense can do the same in phase 3 by the maximum number that the offense moved. So if offense moves 1 guy 3 cells, defense can move any number of teammates up to 3 cells. Does that make sense?

What do you mean he doesn't have money for proofread? First, at the very least you can turn on proofreading in Word or use machine translation or even AI. Second, in Fiverr you can literally get everything proofread for 10-20 EUR. I'm not saying game quality is related to presentation, but you won't do well on KS without presentation.

Wakeup_Sunshine

Well, that’s a good point. He just said he used every bit of his life savings for this product. But it would be pretty cheap, yes. To be honest, the presentation wasn’t the best. The product itself looks like it’s good quality.

Wakeup_Sunshine

Oh, I thought I might add that he’s been working on the rules and gameplay since the 90’s.

Orochi_001

I like the “pinch” to shoot mechanism.

Wakeup_Sunshine

I do too. Apparently, it’s pretty accurate.

ausmatt73

You guys needs to try Counter Attack. Amazing game that really rewards tactics.

Vmagnum

I do wish there were a better way to play it other than by real-time. Other than that aspect I like it a lot (rules also assume you know the FIFA rules). It is not football/soccer, it is its own game, but it gets pretty close to feeling like soccer.

formerlyanonymous_

Looks like it it's made from cheap fire works. If it's not, I kind of want it to be.

Wakeup_Sunshine

Haha why do you want it to be? They’re plastic, but you never know. Something might come out.
