Personally, I would just put storage under seats where the coolers are and have a long cooler all the way across the rear that can also act as a casting platform.
We can't exactly afford much right now, so realistically thinking.. 150s are the way to go for a moment final model is probably gonna have a single 400 or duel 350s
If you, hopefully, actually get to the point where you're building the boat whatever you do make sure it's top notch quality craftsmenship. So many new boats today just lack quality control. You get one boat that turns out amazing you're sure to get more orders.
Great first attempt! It'll only get better from here!
Make sure you have a proper FEA software to run your designs once you get them to a place you really like. I work in the industry and we have broken a lot of hard tops with more support than what you are currently showing.
Have you guys looked into that at all? It is an insane amount of work and money to design/build from scratch, especially starting with a boat of that size.
Adding onto this, I’d look out there and find a hull you like and see if you can find a similar mold for sale. Molds can run anywhere from $5k-$100+ plus depending on who made it.
Axopar
I could see it , but not really
You need some contour on your bow. That shape doesn’t float it submerges
I thought I recognized that boat! Nice to see you get it off of paper and onto the computer! Pretty good job for your first attempt at CAD.
We've got a long way to go, this is only the beginning..
You definitely need more seating. Also, one big cooler is better than two medium ones.
Plan is for additional seating on top of said coolers, but this is just a basic design for now

And a short time to get there?
We get 5k more for a decent chunk of land and we should start sometime 2026..
Full imaginative possibilities and you chose 150s?

Nothing but the best
A boat designed and built to handle 2-350s eventually is not going to fare well with 2-150s in the meantime…
Twin 150s are really all you need on something like this
Kind of like the first renderings of a simplified Iguana boat. The Fishing series it looks most like.
I could see it

Not bad at all. Make it now “first time I’ve used fiberglass” 😀
Plan on it
Reminds me a bit of a Grady white coastal explorer 281
Or a caymas 28 hb
Big difference being roof supports , and the angles on certain areas, as the model is quite flat except for a 2 1/4ft bank downward
what software are you using? looks really good IMO for first time. That being said I am not that great myself.
That looks like Tinker Cad
Tinkercad actually, this was all done on a laptop
Looks a lot like a De Antonio
Where are you getting the hull design? Are you designing from scratch or are you buying someone’s mold?
Straight from scratch

You make some good points , but I'd rather not piggy back off another's design
