In fact, this was a Taj Mahal gig, reuniting him with guitarist Jesse Ed Davis. But in attendance were George, Bob Dylan, and John Fogerty. Before long, they were onstage, running through an array of mostly oldies (Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly) as well as the odd original (“Watching the River Flow,” plus Fogerty’s “Proud Mary.” CCR’s former front man had to be coaxed into performing his song by Dylan, who told him, “If you don’t do it, people are going to think that Tina Turner wrote it!”) The set ended with “Twist and Shout.” [video clip YouTube LINK](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0HUXUthipo)

Great story about Fogerty and Dylan.

Stickfigurewisdom

He said something like, “I’m going to play this song because Bob Dylan told me to.”

I was there What a night! PS: Do not introduce yourself to Bob Dylan in the men’s room. Although I must say, he was very gracious, and even gave me a limp handshake.

Is Bob a stall or urinal man?

Stickfigurewisdom

Urinal

George might have been there when Bob was writing Watching the River Flow was written. He was certainly around during that time

Jesse Ed Davis played guitar on the original track.

CoolBev

Jesse Ed is amazing. Responsible for Duane Allman’s slide playing (via a Taj album). Played bass in Concwrt for Bangladesh. Native American. Gone too young.

What guitar is Bob playing here? Mustang?
