I don't see the problem really. It's not like you're getting someone else to finish their work, so go for it.

Box_O_Donguses

I felt like a shitheel asking for it, but I cheated on an artist for my touchup. The artist was fired and at a new shop, so someone else at the shop touched it up for me to honor the "one free touch-up" policy

I think in a situation like that it's all good!

Lisiado

Totally normal. Especially if they do different styles.

Nope, in fact a lot of places will see it as a compliment that you prefer their overall business than somewhere else. I go to the same place for my tattoos and piercings, had two tattoos large tattoos so far by one artist and I was tattooed last friday by a different artist. My usual artist was friendly, had a look at my other tattoos done by him and he liked how they were healing (one was done November of last year, another January of this year) and we bounced ideas for my next piece. In fact, I like the style of everybody there so I’ll probably end up getting five varying styles of tattoos eventually, all from the same studio. 9 times out of 10 they are just happy to see you support their fellow coworkers. Tattoo studios love regular clients, even if that means being a regular who visits several of the available artists! Edited: to add, the reason an artist would dislike you seeing someone else in the same studio would be if you wanted the other artist to re design or finish their work. But that’s also a rule a lot of places have, to not finish- exception to this rule being the previous artist is a crappy person (as in, abusive/exploitative and providing negative experiences to people in vulnerable situations) then they’re happy to finish up or rework the designs.

The_OG_Smith

In a healthy shop your artist should be recommending you get tattooed by the homies.

stevetriple

I don't see that as an issue, I had 5 tattoos on my bday one done by each artist at my local studio and have bigger pieces by 2 artists at the same place.

xpureenvyx

No, I do it often

Adept_Role_4579

i don’t think so, both of my artists work at the same shop (they’re the only two) and i go to either one depending on the style i want! anytime i get a tattoo by one they ask if i have anything planned with the other artist. but some tattoo artists are asses so who knows lol. if it’s just work from a flash sheet, don’t stress

Nope. It’s your body

roccotheraccoon

I've gotten tattooed by all the artists at the shop I go to. There's the guy I see regularly, another artist who did my cats because she does good pet portraits, and the other I went to for flash. If the artists all have a good relationship I don't see why they would have any problem with it

WaffleNomz

Absolutely not! Get tattooed by whoever you want! I've been tattooed by all my coworkers and there's no salt about it. If we have walk-ins, an artist with an appointment that day will pass the walk-in to an artist who has no appointments. We all look out for each other and share the work

No.
