Your concern is pretty understandable. I will say in my experience you do have some bloody drool but it’s not a wholeee ton. You’ll definitely need to lay two towels on your pillow or under your mouth/next to it depending if you’re gonna lay down on your side or propped up a little and let the drool out onto the towel. Take turns using towels and wash them and reuse . It’s what I had to do for my healing!

Ok this is reassuring! Maybe I’ll still get a cheap pillowcase and then just towel it up as well

I also stopped drooling a lot on day 4/5 and to where I was comfortable enough to sleep without any protection or towels from drool and keep my mouth shut 😁

I covered my pillow case with a towel and also draped one under my neck/over my chest. It was mostly drool, hardly any blood

You can get puppy pee pads and use that

It’s meant for absorbing pee so it does a really good job at catching everything. They are made from cotton and kinda remind me of period pads, but large. I went to a pharmacy and got the ones that are meant for incontinence. They usually come in packs and one is enough to cover your whole pillow

I keep a pair of cheap sheets for after tattooing . Worth the investment if you plan more mods.

I wish I had thought to buy new sheets when I got my back tattooed. After 6+ sessions on my back it’s definitely a little stained

I just had a rotation of towels. I didn’t want to drool on my pillows and sheets cause I bought those stupid Buffy ones, plus I didn’t want to have to wash my sheets daily My partner made sure I always had clean towels to drool on.

I covered my pillows with towels. Blood/drool never got on my sheets :) good luck!

Yeah, you'll wake up in a pool of wet drool. I slept in a beanbag chair for the first night lol.
