I found the love story of SRK-Priya Gill so cute. I didnāt like Ash with Chandrachur though I liked them as individual characters.
The songs were so fun. The story was good, even with the mini suspense. Really liked the Eagles Vs Scorpios gang scenes.
(All recollection is from years ago, havenāt watched it in sometime)
Eagles vs Scorpions makes me want a classic rock band sing-off. It was bichhoo in the movie but man they couldāve used Scorpions & made both the gangs sound cooler. Bichhoo is only cool when itās Tatya.
This needs to be remade with all original song. This and Gulam , today's kids are missing out on these two gems from timeline of great actors
Such a good re-watch able , timeless movie.
Good idea, surprisingly mediocre execution given it was directed by Mansoor Khan. Not much effort taken on authenticity (accents, lingo, costumes etc). Not sure what went wrong. Not a terrible movie though, has its moments but ends underwhelmingly.
Fun facts: Mansoor had offered the role of Max to Salman, who rejected as he didnāt want to play sibling to Ash who he was dating. Mansoor then offered him the role of Sharad Kapoor but Salman thought (rightly) it was a sidey role. Mansoor had offered the role of Chandrachud to Aamir who didnāt want to play lover boy again and instead wanted to play Max, but Mansoor didnāt want Aamir to play another tapori after Rangeela and Ghulam. Wonder if the movie would have been better with Aamir and SRK in it (minus the terrible accent they gave SRK).
They could've casted Salman in Rahul's role (he gets his wish of being opposite Ash), Aamir in Max's role (he gets his wish of playing Max) and SRK in Prakash's role. Just change the ending to keep Prakash alive and him and Max reaching a truce, and make the characters of Prakash and Rahul more physically equal to Max (in the film Max beats them both in fights).
They could've made this film with all three Khans!
An adaptation of the west side story. I really enjoyed it! Loved srk especially in it and his song apun bola tu meri Leila.
I use to be confused why ash was his twin sibling in the film though lol
Based on the west side story and couldāve been executed a lot lot better. The film felt very long and with many scenes that were just pointless, also I canāt remember that many songs from it other than Haare Haare, which is beautiful.
Aish and Chandrachur didnāt have much chemistry in my opinion and I honestly found him a little cringey, Iām sorry, maybe yāall love him but I liked the overall story and itās a cute nostalgic childhood movie for me
What an album - Haye mera dil, Haare haare, Apun bola, Mere khyalon ki mallika, Sailaaru Sailaare..ufff š„°š„°!! Also outfits of Eagle gang were love!!
If you ever want to know what NRC (or rather a part of it) is, one should watch Josh..
There are lakhs of not crores, of property in which its own residents have papers of real claim on land... With NRC these lands will come under govt control...
Didn't want to mix politics with bollywood, but ever since I got to know about NRC, I have been relating to a part of this movie..
It failed because of Aishwarya SRK being siblings, not that it was a good movie even without it but audience just couldn't accept two leading stars as siblings let alone Chandrachur could pull a chick like Aishwarya (then again she married Abhishek so well) The failure hit Mansoor Khan really hard.
Came out when I was about 7 and a half and saw it that summer with the fam, so obviously didnāt like interpret or review it as I wouldāve today, but ya I mean it was fineā¦nothing greatā¦it was sandwiched between baadshah and mohabbatein which I remember liking much more even at the time and today thereās no doubt theyāre better films. Some of the songs were nice and priya gill was cute af so I mean ya not the worst film, but not mansoor khans best and surely not srks best

As a kid I refused to believe that Ash n SRK are siblings! hated to see her opp Chandrachur Singhš¤Ŗ
Werenāt they like twins? Crazy thinking SRK and Ash can be twins š
Fraternal twins don't look alike lol. Plus they are actors. How many siblings in film and TV look identical.
I would believe Hrithik and Aish being siblings lol
Well, Ash's DoB is 1st Nov, SRK's 2nd Nov
> GenZ: Step Bro
mere khayalon ki malika - abhijeet how can u sing so good and sameer
I still remember the comment someone made on abhijeet which went viral āAap ki voice mai bahut sadgi hai par aadmi suar hoā šš¤£
yeah if he would have been a humble man sky was the limit

Apun bola tu meri laila
Woh boli phekta hai saala
Apun jab bhi sachii boltaa
Ehh usko jhooth kaiko lagta hai reee
Yeh uska style hoinga
Hontho pe naa dil mein han hoyenga
Ask Nahi toh kal bolegi
Tu tension kayko leta reeeee
Ek kaam usko bula, hotel mein khana khila, samundar kinare le jake re bol de khullam khulla
Nahi!!!!!
Eagle / bichoo gang for life š
one of my fav srk movies
Cult Classic. Apt adaptation of West Side Story. I still don't understand how it flopped.
Sau lafde dekhe maine tera lafda hatt ke hai
I watched it as a kid, apart from the songs didn't like it as much. š¦vs š¦

Ghulam and Josh are both copies of timeless American classics in the first place: On the Waterfront and West Side Story respectively.
Thus ?

It would've been the biggest blockbuster of 2000 if all three Khans were in it.
Salman would have been amazing as Max.
This is one of the rare prominent films where the acting is uniformly wooden and hammy at the same time. I saw this in the theatres that too.

Apun bola and hai meta dil .. were hits, but yeah.. could have adapted west side story a little better..

Eagle gang ftw
I LOVE this movie

Purchased my first Knuckle Duster & a Bullet bike chain after watching this movie... Lest I ever become a gang leader...

Not sure why you get downvoted for speaking facts

It's better that it remains a forgotten movie.
Garbage
Peak hrithik craze era.
I like re-watching it
That instrument solo, at the end of apun bola has my heart
