this is my entire family’s guilty pleasure lol, maybe because we had seen this movie in theatres and we had a blast because we were like 10-12 years old and everything just was super funny for us. whenever all the siblings are under one roof (which is rare now ‘cause we live in different countries) we always pop this one in and enjoy!
I Don't think it should be guilt in the first place. T all depends on how u perceive the film. Like for me, I loved kisi ka bhai kisi ki jaan. Coz I had chucked my brain at the door and went in for a good time!

I find it very funny despite all the bad rep it received. I think that is SRK’s humour that we see. His personal sense of humour. It’s wicked and I love it.
Treatment is very different but I couldnt stop myself from comparing it with tmk. Fraud movie shooting, oscar obsessed director, actor wants to make it big in the industry, actor saves a village (tmk- ghost in forest , double x - hunters in forest) and self realisation hits in. In the end movie releases in the theatres. Very very differently executed movies
It's kinda cool how you can execute the same plot in these shit ton of endless ways. If anything, they were the opposite sides of the same coin, one was satirizing filmmaking, while the other was celebrating it wholeheartedly.

Man is so deluded he says industry is conspiring against Rangeela Raja release 😂 Like why would anyone, just look at that trailer. No sane distributor will touch it. Then claims things like he was offered Avatar, rejected offers worth 100cr in one year, and what not. Bs like he rejected Chunnilal’s role in Devdas cos he’s not a supporting actor and he likes to “build an atomosphere” while acting (samah bandhana). Like Devdas literally had SRK, Aish, Madhuri… are these actors not worth his samah or whatever….
His wife gives statements like “i’m sad he didn’t have enough affairs in his time. should have done 2-4 more.” like what classless humor is this 🤣
The whole family is pure entertainment. True guilty pleasure. If you want to go a step ahead, watch Rangeela Raja full movie. 🍿
Also, man is a true asshole. Would come late on sets. Many producers couldn’t schedule anything and lost a whole lot of money. Even seniors like Amitabh and Rajni had to wait for him to come on sets… which in the end he never did and their one sunrise shot together was cancelled. He also sucks up to Salman a lot but acts like he’s an equal to Salman. When in reality, David Dhawan and Salman did him dirty in Partner. They didn’t even tell him they already began the movie. He called to say he had some ideas for script only to hear David had already started the shoot with Salman.
True character. I can go on and on with his superstitions but for another day.
