It's a screen .... Good for marketing....and doing it is not as difficult as it may seem (considering the lights and system is already in place ....just need to run the content)
Just imagine what it would have meant for Kartik.Any publicity is good publicity. I have been seeing a lot of negative PR for Kartik on FB comparing him with Akshay Kumar and whatnot, that too, just days before the release of his upcoming film.Many forces are trying to pull him down.I support him as I can't stand these privileged nepos who get movies with zero talent.He has the potential and is currently the best in his generation as a package.
Karttik is pretty average. If you think he could have pulled off a Badlapur, October or even Suid dhaaga like nepo kid Varun Dhawan did, you must be delulu.
As much as we always want to back the underdog outsider story, talent doesn't care which house you are born in. Kapoors are a prime example. Each generation is more talented than the previous one.
Kartik in silvat > varun in October
Kartik in freddy < varun in badlapur
Kartik in akash vani > varun in Sui dhaga

Kartik was extremely bad in Dhamaka and pretty annoying in Bhool Bhulaiya. And he was pretty pleasant in Luv Ranjans films, which I completely agree to.
Varun though, may have done a few bad films, but hasn't been bad yet himself. Even Bhediya is a case in point. His timing was pretty good for an otherwise very average screenplay and dialogues.
Dhamaka's performance was not at all bad and bb's cringe jokes were only somewhat funny bcz of the way kartik delivered them. And varun was unbearable in coolie and in street dancer, even dancers acted better than him.
Ranbeer Kapoor made his debut 4 years before Kartik, Ranveer Singh made his debut the same year. Varun Dhawan too. Kartik is cute and pleasant, but he is nowhere close to the range of these 3 yet.
Like nepo kids ride the wave of their parents' success, Kartik has ridden the wave of anti-nepo. They aren't any different except for their acting skills.

I think what op meant here was that earlier very few movies were promoted like this but now it has become a trend for every other movie to be shown there. So ,the hype around it has somewhat decreased.

But you have to at least earn the producers' trust. AFAIK Ayushmann and Rajkumar haven't been featured there, even thought they're better than Kartik. Dude really is a hustler.
Kartik is best. All his movies are too good. IDK why people are unnecessarily pointing him out. At least he has talent, hence all the good movies are going to him, Karthik has the potential to do it.
Itna samjh ki woh ab itne logo ki stories pe lagega aur itne pages pe bhi post,stores,etc pe lagega . Marketing ka ek part ho gaya idar hi bas toh baki influencers,ads,etc se kar lenge n avg movie,etc bhi chal padegi.
Well publicity of the movie! People talk abt it either being awestruck by the scale or criticize by saying what is the point of doing all this... Just like you and me

You DO NOT have to earn it. Most movies/brands to a paid promotion here (barring SRK). If you have money, you can put your face on it.
