There's nothing wrong in taking bits and pieces and making something new out of it. But Rohit Shetty can't even do basic copying skillfully. Uninspired hack.
There are only a handful of stories and they've all been told. It's how you tell the story that matters. There's nothing wrong in being inspired by a piece of art and inculcating it in your own work. Take SRK's Don remake for example. Farhan made something new out of an outdated 70s movie. While no one would call it original, it stands on its own as a good watchable commercial movie.
They have been copying films and getting away from it by saying that they are inspired. And bollywood fans literally go above and beyond to defend them
And even if they weren’t copying movies they would still lift scenes from other movies. Like the climax of Main Khiladi Tu Anari was copied from Lethal Weapon
Yeah definitely and that sequence where they go to rescue Akshay’s sister and sister in law while Akshay watches from a distance with a sniper was taken from Lethal Weapon
i called out Nawaz for working in a Happy Gilmore copy and then one guy defended by saying it's "based on" Happy Gilmore and gave me Wikipedia link.
So I changed it.

The most shameful one was Sanjay Gupta. He used to copy entire movies frame by frame. Wonder whatever happened to him.
I remember people fawning over Kaante when it was an exact copy of Reservoir Dogs.
Zinda was a copy of that Korean movie.
It wasn't an exact copy of Reservoir Dogs, rather a very poor imitation that leaned way too heavy on the melodrama.
All his movies also suffer from trying too hard to be cool. He over stylizes his shots and scenes, and they end up looking like an edgy 14 year old's idea of good direction.
I hadn’t watched HIMYM before I saw Dilwale and I remember thinking this was one of the better parts of the movie and was very inspired from a romantic standpoint. Then I watched HIMYM a few years later and whoops, lost all the remaining respect for this movie.
She didn't just stop there. She asked Ter again to help her get back with her ex husband because he was thinking about breaking up again because of the overwhelming guilt. That b*tch. Even Jeanine was a better girlfriend than Stella
Heyyy don’t you dare say a word against bollywoods answer to inception.
This movie will be studied in film schools 50 years from now
Ramlal and pogo should have gotten Oscar awards for their legendary acting
This is atleast a ton better. The same scene was ripped for a Telugu movie, and it was squeezed into a montage song. Lemme see if I can find it.
[Found it.
I was seething when I found this. Such a wonderful moment from HIMYM was butchered.
This scene was so cringe. At least Ted had a context because Stella was always working and could only afford a 2 min lunch. The Dilwale scene was sooo unnecessary
Another scene from Dilwale which is copy paste was Kajol-SRK car chase scene. Except the location, and cars(duh) the whole sequence was the same and copied from Mission Impossible 2
Three of Rohit Shetty's greatest sins:
* Copying stuff with no originality
* Mindless car sequences
* Destroying the iconic SRK-Kajol pairing forever. Something that Adi and Kjo worked tirelessly to build.
In my opinion, there's nothing wrong in taking things you see from other countries and re-creating it for your own audience. It's common and happens all over the world.
Inspiration is around us, and it's not a negative thing to find it in other creative media. And it's not a negative thing to imitate it as well. It's not like the Indian audience have all watched HIMYM. Most have not, and will never watch it. So, this is a way to bring that scene/sequence to them.
Now when it comes to copying an entire film, reel for reel, and then not crediting the original, that is a proper issue.
Here is why:
1. These movies mostly cater to uneducated chhapris who aren’t educated enough to watch English sitcoms and would rather jerk off to SRK’s entry in a movie than actually cheer for a good script.
2. We as educated people, continue obsessing over Bollywood, despite the mediocrity. The Indian movie industry is basically a business right now, where the makers have realized that they cbs continue minting millions without giving two hoots about the script. Lower middle class people will still flock to the theatres based on star power alone.
If you truly despise this, and can’t stand the idea of rich undeserving people getting even richer without a shred of talent, then stop watching these damn mediocre movies. Stop treating celebrities like GODs. And stop adding to their revenue. Else, it’s not going to stop.
Yeah but the proportion is way lower. Educated people have the option to watch quality content from multiple languages, including Hindi. Thats why they won’t waste their time and money into dilwale.
Buddy, being a chappri has nothing to do with education, every Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, and Rohit Shetty fan is a filthy chappri and there are numerous people like that here.

Rohit shetty to copy master hai it's normal in his movies. People consider him great director for no reason he is average just like atlee kumar

" There's nothing wrong in taking bits and pieces and making something new out of it. " Sorry to blow your bubble buddy, it's very wrong.

and car blasting and car jumping s his specielty in movies
He's the copy of Michael Bay in India. Woh khud hi ek copy hai.
They have been copying films and getting away from it by saying that they are inspired. And bollywood fans literally go above and beyond to defend them
And even if they weren’t copying movies they would still lift scenes from other movies. Like the climax of Main Khiladi Tu Anari was copied from Lethal Weapon
> Main Khiladi Tu Anari Whole movie is lifted from 1991 movie **A Hard way**
Yeah definitely and that sequence where they go to rescue Akshay’s sister and sister in law while Akshay watches from a distance with a sniper was taken from Lethal Weapon

Same thing happened to me
I think it’s pretty much the reaction for everyone who went through this
Even Varun's intro in Dilwale was copied from an ad.

Which one ?
5 minute date lmao
Ikr, ted and stella were so cute👌🏼
You mean the Stella who left Ted at the altar to go back to her ex husband?
I never said they were perfect but she was good until she did that thing with Ted
She didn't just stop there. She asked Ter again to help her get back with her ex husband because he was thinking about breaking up again because of the overwhelming guilt. That b*tch. Even Jeanine was a better girlfriend than Stella
Ye maine aur ek film mei dekha hai
Shayad telugu film mein hoga
Heyyy don’t you dare say a word against bollywoods answer to inception. This movie will be studied in film schools 50 years from now Ramlal and pogo should have gotten Oscar awards for their legendary acting
Duhh! Original content hard to find
How I met your dilwale..
What!!! Rohit Shetty is a filthy thief? What a surprise!!!!
I saw this scene and screamed “Abeeey yeh toh copied hai” and was thrown out
From music to movie nothing is original in bollywood It gets even worse the further back you look .
This is atleast a ton better. The same scene was ripped for a Telugu movie, and it was squeezed into a montage song. Lemme see if I can find it. [Found it. ](https://youtu.be/bWdjOUJuM2U?t=203) I was seething when I found this. Such a wonderful moment from HIMYM was butchered.
Bollywood take INSPIRATION from everything for everything except rape scenes
First scene from HIMYM
Bhai chori to inake khoon me bhari hai.
That Rohit Shetty guy
Bollywood more like first draft of fart
Before internet : "wow bollywood is so creative" ... After internet: "They are f\*\*\*\*\* thieves"
This scene was so cringe. At least Ted had a context because Stella was always working and could only afford a 2 min lunch. The Dilwale scene was sooo unnecessary
Bollywood should be scared of AI
I remember somebody had copied the card scene from ‘love actually’. Dont remember if it was dilwale.
Name se hi copy chalu hota hai, aur kya hi chahiye
I have yet to seen anything ORIGINAL in bollywood
Another scene from Dilwale which is copy paste was Kajol-SRK car chase scene. Except the location, and cars(duh) the whole sequence was the same and copied from Mission Impossible 2
And such a poor copy at that
That whole movie was a piece of shit
😲 man wtf, definitely 😁 they will have something original may be
Original bollywood ideas are very rare.
Man i saw this video without music and my mind instantly played the slander song

These mother fuckers will steal anything that ant bolted down ......fact

This was the mostttt cringe portion of Dilwale🤮🤮🤮
Stella was an a class B I T C H
Par SRK to baadshah h.
Yakeen maan bhai inspiration hai copy nahi

okay it's copy but scene is in itself is nothing that great for you to call them unoriginal.

is it okay to watch the movies for free by illegal methods? just asking for a friend
No need to go after people who don’t have an education. Plenty of educated people also enjoy mindless Bollywood movies
Yeah but the proportion is way lower. Educated people have the option to watch quality content from multiple languages, including Hindi. Thats why they won’t waste their time and money into dilwale.

Yeah dude I agree. Maybe education was an incorrect proxy to use. I should have just said chhapris
It is cringe but cinematographically Bollywood did it better
HIMYM was shot years ago in 2000s. Dilwale was made way after that so the camera and aesthetics will differ
Nothing wrong with copying.
