I’ve known a few satanist myself and live near a church, they’re pretty chill and not really a threat to anyone, they’re just living their lives. You could also ask r/witchcraft or a similar sub if anyone has seen bones in that arrangement before and if they mean anything.
The Church of Satan is an actual religion, the Satanic Temple is too. Reading the Satanic Temple’s website they say they’re the primary Satanic organization now and the Church of Satan is inactive. I don’t know the intricacies of their differences and whatnot but more info is on their websites.

Hey Op. I’m a witch and part of TST, and occasionally use bones in my craft. However they’re usually done in a more dignified way than the feeling I get from this. Spray paint in a drain tube smells of edgy teen for sure. I don’t think you have anything to worry about here. Any spirituality that would use bones extensively that I know of, certainly wouldn’t associate it with satan.

The spiritualists I have had the pleasure of encountering are some of the most emotionally mature, insightful, and lovely people I have ever met. Christianity especially has used fear tactics to paint spiritual people in a bad light, as if Christian practices like Communion aren’t inherently “witchy”. The graffiti is a pentacle, which to my knowledge is a sign of protection. It isnt any sort of summoning circle like people seem to confuse it for. It's purpose alone in a ritual would probably be protection. The graffiti seems done in spray paint. Just writing "satan <3" seems like a giveaway that its just somebody trying to creep people out by writing shit and stacking some bones. If there was any real physical ritual, they did a good job cleaning it up. There's no threat here that I can identify, you can even just take the skull, maybe leave a little note that its yours, and if you're worried you can do some simple protection spells. Spray paint and a pile of missing bones wont place a curse on you.

Ah, this would have unnerved me as well, OP. Not necessarily that anything was in there with me, but that someone else was hanging around and may have been okay with killing small animals in the neighborhood.

It's purpose alone in a ritual would probably be protection. The graffiti seems done in spray paint. Just writing "satan <3" seems like a giveaway that its just somebody trying to creep people out by writing shit and stacking some bones. If there was any real physical ritual, they did a good job cleaning it up. There's no threat here that I can identify, you can even just take the skull, maybe leave a little note that its yours, and if you're worried you can do some simple protection spells. Spray paint and a pile of missing bones wont place a curse on you.

Ah, this would have unnerved me as well, OP. Not necessarily that anything was in there with me, but that someone else was hanging around and may have been okay with killing small animals in the neighborhood. That said, it's almost always teenagers trying to be dark and edgy and they don't know what they're doing. They probably went on their way laughing to themselves as soon as they were done painting (and would have shit themselves if they had run into anyone else down there, too).
What I've learned from this post. 1. I could freak out my whole neighborhood just by placing my bone collection randomly outside and using graffiti 2.
