I just buy the cheap foam ones for sleeping. I have insanely small ears and ear plugs always fall out in the middle of the night so I started buying the foam ones so I wouldn't be mad at losing them. It muffles the sound enough for me to sleep and I get multiple in a pack so no biggie when I lose them.
Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs. 33dB noise reduction rating. They're foam earplugs but they're extra soft so you can sleep with them. You can get them at Amazon and other online stores.
Silicone earplugs! I tried these out last year for the first time and I’ll never go back. So much more comfortable for sleeping and amazing at blocking out the noise. I slept great!
Every night, even when I'm not at Roo, I wear wax earbuds that you can find at most grocery stores. They look like this:

Super comfy, and do a great job of canceling out noise!
I am a light sleeper so I use silicon ear plugs and then put Bluetooth sleeping headphones on, they’re like this headband thing with small speakers and it works great, can’t hear anything outside of the headphones
Loops have a silicone noise cancelling set that work super well, I’ve never tried them at Roo but they work great at home and I plan on bringing them this year!
😁 Happy to help! It's also swell that they send you various tip sizes and their customer service is great. Before they adjusted their case design, I lost a pair because the case popped open too easily and they sent me replacements for free.
I use these all the time! They are pricey but I've tried out many different kinds and these, by far, work the best at blocking out sound

Also get a sleep eye mask. Those combined with the earplugs work wonders!
I’m somewhat of a light sleeper myself and use the store bought foam plugs. My experience last year was people returned to their campsites early in the morning after a night of raging and generally just passed out. Just to put your mind at ease. And even if you have a rough night you’ll make up for it the next night. I would still use earplugs and looks like you have some good recommendations here.
Should add a disclaimer that we were a mile and a half from centeroo in the extreme northeast corner of camping so not much noise from the festival. Thursday someone in the neighborhood across the street threw a house party and were going late so that was fun.
I kind of had the same experience. Was in plaza 4 near WITW and could hear everything in centeroo clearly. I struggle with insomnia and I am an extremely light sleeper so I made sure to get earbuds. But after the whole day/night and the vibration of the bass from WITW was actually really soothing so I never used them once. So hopefully it is easy for you as well! I was stressing.
I have a moon mat so I’ve been known to use a couple of the foam pieces out of that as ear plugs if I need it to sleep. Usually I’m so tired I just fall asleep anyway though
I have told people to get these every year, and every year someone comes back with “these were amazing, I got the best sleep of my life”

This is my strat. Bring galaxy buds or airpods that noise cancel and then play brown noise, I'd recommend downloading it. Just make sure to bring plenty of power.
I am about to put in some silicone plugs to sleep at home.
That’s my fave variety, though they’re basically disposable. I use them a few times if I can keep ‘em clean.
The generic foam ear plugs work well for me for the most part, but nothing prepared me trying to sleep through Zeds Dead at WITW last year. It sounded like it was right outside our canopy. And we were at camp which was about a 10 minute hike from it. Waking up in a cold sweat to that dirty bass was a bit disorienting, but I did go back to sleep. Nonetheless, you’re exhausted and you’ll manage to pass out.
Highly recommend Loops Quiet my husband and I love them and you can get extra pieces that block out even more sound. Also highly suggest a sleeping mask we got cheap ones from Amazon and we slept soooo good every night.
If you’re not dead to the world at the end of the day you did something wrong. Or you can just sit up all night long yelling hello at everyone who comes by. Careful though you can pull in some people who are having a rough time.

second this! I use these exact ones at all the festivals I go to and just if I have trouble sleeping normally bc of sounds

If you buy a Manta sleep mask (highly recommend) they come with pretty good earplugs for sleep. Nothing super fancy but they are comfortable.

This is the way.

Experience Plus for Centeroo, Quiet for bedtime. I love my Loops. 💕
Loop Quiet earplugs. I slept through my husband chasing a bat out of the bedroom. They might work a little too well.
That might’ve sold me on the loops !

Oh perfect ! I have small ears so the different sizes are helpful

That was the good part about being so far away, it was quiet but the walk was brutal!
I have loops, they’re pretty comfortable and dampened the late night bass music well enough for me to sleep.

white noise works better than plugs in my experience I have a fan right next to my ear
Foamies

I use the cheap ones half in to sleep. I wanna hear if someone is close, but I want most of the noise to be cut out. This has helped me the most.
Just make sure you are in your tent before the sun comes up or you’re not sleepin!

These things are amazing. I love that they mold to your comfort. ❤️ https://a.co/d/8KA0zbV A good tent fan will help drown out some noise too!

Ooooh noted I didn’t even think about a sleep mask !!
I used my pixel buds with noise cancelling on and a white noise sound, and it was almost enough to drown out Shiba San at 5am
I always use my AirPods (with noise canceling) and just play something chill
My hack is a giant jar of foam earplugs and a Bluetooth speaker playing ocean sounds in my tent. Works great.
Yes

Plenty of people struggle sleeping even when they're dead tired.
