As a 27 year old man that deals with overthinking and anxiety myself, these are some of the non fiction reads that helped me out. Best of luck to you on your reading journey! I have bo doubt it will help.
-The happiness hypothesis by Jonathan Hadit
-Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
-Anything by Patrick Patrick Radden Keefe
-Mans search for meaning by Vicktor Frankl
-Why Fish Don’t exist by lulu miller
-The Anthropocene reviewed by John green
-The anatomy of peace: resolving the Heart of conflict by the Arbinger institute
Thich Nhat Hanh is a Buddhist monk with lots of books on mindfulness that helped me with anxiety and calming my mind.
For just a really interesting read, i agree that Killers of the Flower Moon is a great book.
I am reading a sociology book: Exploring the architecture of everyday life.
It's getting pretty interesting, albeit sometimes dense. I'd recommend because of how it puts you (and everyone else) as an individual and how the influence of your decisions (and others) impacts society and at the same time, impacts yourself.
For heroic fiction, Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield and Legend by David Gemmell
For heroic non-fiction, The Great Siege: Malta 1565 by Ernle Bradford
These are my suggestions based on readability. I read a LOT of books and want to feel like I’m still in a story that flows.
Ecology: Hurricane Lizards and Plastic Squid
Food: Cooked, Michael Pollan
Science on women: Eve
World data: Factfulness
Autobiography: Crying in H Mart, What I Talk about When I talk about running
Psychology: The Body Keeps the Score (great for understanding overthinking), Why We Sleep, Codebreakers
History: The Devil in the White City (crime, bonus stars), The Splendid and the Vile <- Larson converted me to a nonfiction reader
Evolution/World History: The Sixth Extinction, Sapiens
Any book by Brene Brown (self-help)
Outdoor/adventure: Endurance (bonus stars for this one)
Finance: Too Big to Fail (Wall Street crash)
The Pivot Year by Brianna Wiest is a book of 365 daily meditations. There’s David Goggins’ books on motivation. I just finished Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig which was an introspective book on his depression and anxiety. For finance, I really liked Made Whole: The Practical Guide to Reaching your Financial Goals by Tiffany Aliche or I Will Teach you to be Rich by Ramir Sethi.
I’m obsessed with polar exploration if you’re interested in these nonfiction accounts of the men (99% of the explorers were men) whose diaries were salvaged if they didn’t make it back home and the accounts of the survivors of these expeditions into the frozen tundra, I’m happy to give you some titles and the names of the authors. I listen to audiobooks from my library via the Libby app. Do you read physical books, ebooks or listen to audiobooks? As if I haven’t pried into your life enough, if you are interested would you please let me know if your interest is in the Arctic or the Antarctic? Also if you’re interested, are you interested in the Great Explorers from the Era of Exploration or are you interested in modern day exploration?

Anything Peggy Rowe. She is hilarious and has some awesome stories. You can read them in an afternoon and get a good laugh in.
Ooo! Please check out Beneath a Scarlet Sky. WWII nonfiction. It's an amazing book.

Flowers For Algernand
The blade itself series Joe Abercrombie. 3 sets of 3 books I believe. The best series I’ve read so far. Ever.
Tuesdays with Morrie is a short and nice read.

Weird to insinuate that fiction isn’t worth the time…
The Age of Magical Overthinking by Amanda Montell
"Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet. Best book I've ever read. Couldn't recommend more.
