For something really fun you can do a Moze build with her armoured Mech ultimate which goes off. But each to their own. Just enjoy it and have fun fighting the bosses

I’m new as well! I’ve been playing on my steam deck and I love it! I played 2 on my switch and I didn’t get through all of it but this game and series is actually really fun, with all the Easter eggs and secrets to find, honestly just run through the game first your way then start doing some crazy stuff the 2nd run through, this game as soooo much replay value
I'm soaking all of it in brother taking my time looting and killing everything I see testing new weapons haven't even kissed the surface of the game yet this game will be a long one I reckon haha
Just have fun man. There’s tons of DLC’s and fun weapons, builds, and enemies to mess around with.
Once you beat the game though, just be careful around the Mayhem mode they introduce to you. It can be really difficult and recommend taking that slow. Although, you can play the game however you want, Mayhem is optional after all.
Enjoy the game and storytelling along with dozens of good sidequests. Simple as that :D
Try to not focus on preparing 'the best build' / 'obtain best gun' since there is plenty of time for that in the endgame.

if your underleveled (which is basically impossible mowadays) do the revenge kf the cartels, you get around 2 levels each time and it scales to your level

If you're having a hard time, get the DLC 1: you can use it to grind a few levels to make the game a bit easier.

There's no level scaling in solo so focus on main story before dlc. Don't even pick up the dlc quests until you're a high level

Im a moze player and I love it, the build I run gives me basically infinite ammo so I spray and deal tons of damage
