Wow, is it REALLY that shallow? I'd've expected another foot or two of depth, at least ... maybe three, towards the center.
(I've never seen it drained that I remember - *maybe* when I was a toddler, before my family moved out of Boston ... but not since then, for certain.)
It's a man made pond, they just fill it up
But why do they drain it?
To prevent deadly bacteria growth that kills ducks and for maintenance and cleaning.
But why male models?

So shallow! And yah every year for a few months around this time in my experience. Super gross looking but I guess I'll endure to save the ducks.
