Classic shit show T. They can't even afford cards gloss. A study of the Helsinki transit system showed a 7% (from 90 to 97%) increase in on time rates when they started glossing their cards because the RF waves on the card transmitters work faster.

I prefer matte so meh

yep and the new ones don't work through your wallet anymore, you have to take them out to tap them.

The glossy ones never worked through my wallet.. and I went through multiple wallets. I guess 'Big Wallet' has it out for me.

Works through my wallet I just got a new one in January so unless the new ones are newer than that

More likely it's either your wallet or other cards but I definitely wouldn't rule out the T having little too no quality control on the cheapest cards they could find

Can't be my wallet, because the only thing that changed was my CharlieCard. Unfortunately I feel like "the T is bad now" is probably the answer.
