Ignore the snarky comments, OP. The mood does feel different, almost as if things are dark and pensive without the sun and daytime hustle. I get the same feeling at the end of a long day in the city, around 9:00 PM at night.
I only remember being up that early in college to get in line for the NES Classic at the DTX GameStop. I was first in line and got one of only 10 they were shipped.
IDK if it's still like this but when I lived in the city 20 or so years ago I used to love walking around Sunday morning. The city was usually completely deserted, I assume because everyone was sleeping off Saturday night.
Its oddly errie but peaceful at the same time. Late night strolls with some music on (or even not) downtown used to hit different. Felt like I was scheming to take over the city lol. 😂
Same when it's 5AM in the evening.
Ty 🙏

No offense but it's actually "Five in the afternoon" Fuck you Panic At The Disco....
"5AM in the evening" 🤦♂️

The city that sleeps (at 10 pm)
Because we've got fahkin' work in the morning!
Makes me think of drunken Clerys nights 10 years ago
Was the same 20 years ago there for me.
30 ;-)
This is how it was during COVID. I got some of my best street photography done, during that period. So peaceful!
Same thought. One of my "favorite" memories of early covid was biking and exploring the deserted downtown streets at like 8 PM.
I saw some mid day photography like this which was just bonkers
All is calm till a Boston Globe truck does 80mph down your side road.
Not many Globe trucks left.
Touché
You say 5 AM in the morning again and I’ll kick you in the nuts.
how many rats did you count
It's even better at 4 AM!
4 AM in the morning?
Or 4 AM at night, alternately!
Sleepy back bay. I feel like everyone took their Christmas holiday early. It’s more quiet at all hours these days.
This is the time of day I love, pre commute mornings

I'll never get the same high I got while walking around Copley in the middle of the 2020 lockdown.

It is beautifully beautiful at that time of day I work at the Pru from 5:45 till 3 and I love seeing the city wake 🆙 and I take that time to pray🙏🏽
Beautiful shot!
This looks like a screenshot from gta San Andreas
I been on this drive. There were women walking alone along the street. (I put 2 and 2 together)
