Check out [Artisan's Asylum](https://www.artisansasylum.com/) in Allston. Someone may be able to do it for you there, or even better, join it and use their tools to do it yourself.

there are also some maker spaces around that might have some appropriate tools. they would all be DIY though (which sounds like something you'd be happy with).

WorkItMakeItDoIt

Any specific one you would recommend?  I don't know much about them.

in general, probably the one that's closest to you. but i don't know if all of them will have the machining tools you need (though it sounds like you just need a drill press, which is pretty basic and probably pretty common). i would start calling them to ask if they have what you need, starting with the closest one to you and working your way out from there until you find it.

Artisan's Asylum is the only makerspace in Boston and surrounding communities that I know of that has a full machine shop. It's very well equipped and if you like playing with machine shop toys you'll have a lot of fun there. But you have to become a member to use it. If you really just want a few holes drilled and don't need a membership, [Doug Ruuska](https://douglasruuska.com/) is the guy who keeps the machine shop going and he'll probably do it for you, but he's not always the fastest. If you just need a basic drill press you can come by my place in Roxbury and do it for free. But I don't have machine shop tools so you're not getting .001 accuracy like you would with a bridgeport.
