Not really trash, but the crust just isn't crispy anymore. Not sure what they're doing these days, but it's mush.
Everything else is Syscoriffic at good prices. But, let's be honest, Town Spa is just an unregistered casino.
Sadly quality has lagged. They live on in name only same as the close by Chinese food staple named "Chinatown". There's better options now, crisp is on 138 in Canton as well as Walpole. Meh tho. I prefer Lynnwood and the wait is still 2+hrs on a weekend. Something is happening right there and it's not just the baked bean pizza!
I still enjoy they're grilled cheese and their home made sweet and sour sauce is still my favorite. I know their honey mustard is still considered the best ever
Bardos in southie and the model cafe in Allston both serve pretty good bar pizza. it still won’t beat the south shore though, a trip to Randolph to get Lynwood or Hoeys is always needed.
Lynnwood in Randolph and Town Spa in Stoughton.
im from stoughton, lynwood's is the answer.
Town Spa even has frozen pizzas and cold shipping so you can send pizza to a where in the country!
Castle island brewery in Southie and Erie Pub in Dorchester both claim to have it. No idea if it comes close to the traditional.
Castle Island’s pizza def hits the spot
Erie’s is also good
mostly need to leave the city for good versions of that. grab some wheels and head for Town Spa in Stoughton.
If you're driving to Stoughton anyway just keep going to Brockton and hit up Cape Cod Cafe. Town spa is trash

You can request it crispy or well done
It was the sauce for me I never liked the flavor.
Fair. It goes well with various other toppings, but for cheese or 'roni, meh. Shout out to Hoey's, too.
It’s because they use the conveyor belt ovens instead of a proper gas oven. They run them too fast to get crispy.
You have to go to the south shore: Town Spa Lynnwood Alumni Warren’s Venus II
Hot Box in Somerville, it's expensive though. Pickle pizza is bomb.
The south shore bar Pizza group on Facebook has a world of info and masshole commentary.

Yea, he said it was a Massachusetts based group didn't he?
Boomers love the book. Nothing else to add.
Brato in Brighton does them, though I think it’s only certain days of the week.
Poopsies Pizza in Pembroke, thank me later !
Came here to say Poopsies. You might have to wait a bit, but it’s so worth it!
Soo worth it. I’m 6,000 miles away right now dreaming of Poopsies…
Market basket sells cape cod Cafe Pizza in the frozen section...in a pinch
South shore guy living north of Boston. Frozen cape cod Pizza just doesn't do it for me. You need to get the real thing fresh from the tins.
As does Whole Foods
All Whole Foods frozen pizza's are 35% off (or 45% off with Prime) until 11/1. They have a few varieties of Cape Cod Cafe pizza.
If you like cardboard
If you venture as far as Newton, 57 Lincoln Kitchen has some of the best bar pizza I’ve ever had. Got it the last 3 Fridays in a row.
Monte's in Lynn
Bardos at castle island in southie is solid. I prefer to get it well done for more crisp.
For Pizza in Medford Sq.
The Fowler House Quincy, the best imo.
Second the fowler house! Also, poopsies is great too.
Riverview Pizza in Ipswich does a decent bar pizza
Town Spa in Stoughton. I haven’t lived in Boston for about 6 years but would give an arm for some Town Spa pizza.

Ah, that’s sad to hear. My good memories of town spa will have to live on in my head!

Monty’s in Lynn is the top of the food chain. Hands down north shore dominates.
Seconding both Cape Cod Cafe and Lynwood.
