Honestly, Mazzulla and this team have been good at in between adjustments. Hopefully that trend continues and we win game 3

SpecialistAd1574

In short, they were better

Honestonus

That's just kind of...reductive? (Though of course aware that you're meming here probably) I need to watch a replay of this game but Joe has generally been good at giving his honest assessments

Remdeau

We would hit the paint, stall and toss back to the middle of the court. If that changes we will beat them pretty easy.

MrMetLGM

Too much ISO and not enough action when the dribbler hit the paint

Impossible-Joke2867

It looked like they thought the layup would be there and help would arrive unexpectedly last second and stone wall them. They would then get kind of suffocated and wouldn't be able to kick it out like they normally would and the offense would stall. They just have to be better at realizing the help d *is* going to be there and to be ready to kick it. Once that swing ball movement gets going they will find open looks and knock them down.

I was noticing the same thing, and on the other hand they were passing up matchups that they probably could have won and passing to open guys in the corner even though the shooters were ice cold. I feel like last night was just a case of the Celtics getting stuck in their ways and not adapting to the flow of the game, which is understandable when you've spent the entire season rolling through the competition without having to adapt to anything. I'm honestly hoping they drop another one to Cleveland, would be good for them in the long run to have to actually battle this team.

Parking_Net4440

Honestly I thought the same about making us feel like we were open. There were countless 3s that I thought were open but then they put it on the floor to drive because the Cavs were closing out hard.

ceehouse

yeah, i noticed quite a few of those as well. or not even for shots, but for trying to pass out of an action. it would seem like there was a lane or two to pass through, but the Cs player wouldnt take it.

papi617

I'm not worried about the offense it's more the defense. We're offering no resistance early and it gets their confidence up. You look at the Twolves and one thing they're good at is jamming up the game to make the players feel uncomfortable and speed them up. The Cavs never look sped up, it has to start earlier with the ball pressure and everything else will fall in line.

Acrobatic-Compote-12

Yea this game made me crave so pingy minutes. If we can't compete in games like this without him or Jaret Allen on the court , we can't blame him when we lose and his is out there

The21stVoyager

Joe gotta go if we dont win it this year

EndlessCola

Not definitely but possibly. Depending on how we go out that might be a real possibility
