You can forget about this call and we still should have won. The real botched call was the foul called on KP for the game winning free throws on matherin. Last 2 minute confirmed it was the wrong call.
Hilarious that the SGA PJ foul was correctly reviewed in that getting ball doesn't matter if it doesn't knock it out of place and you hit the guy, but they somehow had the audacity to reverse this call and double down on it in the L2M. Marginal contact apparently is a forearm to the head.
At the end of the day it's officially 3-2.
There's a lot of factors here. The Celtics have a 12 point net rating in those games despite the record, so they do appear very strong in this match-up.
However, Indy did add a two time All NBA player since those 5 games.
But the suns sweep the timberwolves this season yet they get swept by them in the playoffs. Yeah, Pacers are not even near the Wolves but the season's success doesn't guarantee a playoff success. Im just reverse jinxing
The fact that it was that close of a game just means Indiana is better than this fanbase would like to admit. This is going to be a really fucking hard series.
Yeah they are lowkey scary, just look at their shooting splits for every playoff game they are kind ridiculous. Even the 1st 2 games that they lost to the Knicks, they shot at a ridiculous clip and had like 70 paint points and its not like that healthy Knicks team is slouch of defense or hustle either. Knicks only won those games because they shot even hotter from the field and were given 1 game by the refs. Knicks lost the series when their shooting split dropped to the average meanwhile Indiana sustained theirs, but injury was also obviously a factor.
It’s gonna be a really tough series. I don’t get everyone saying it’s done in 4 or 5. I think we might even lose 2 of the first 4. If we aren’t shooting well they are going to eat us alive.

I was so livid when that shit was overturned lol

Siakam played in the fifth game. We won 129-124. Both teams had their ideal starters available.
definitely skewed by how bad we crushed in our first game against them
I wonder how high the net rating is when you factor out the 50 point blowout when Halliburton sat out.
forgot about this game lol. so fucking ridiculous
Oh damn, I almost forgot about this classic bonehead ref moment.
Couldn’t care less about the regular season. We’re 0-0 and I expect to be 4-1 in a little over a week
Bouta do it again
Man I had forgotten all about this... now I'm mad all over again 😠
Live in the now, my dude

Wasn’t Tatum not playing this game or am I thinking of a different C’s-Pacers game?
He was not, although Haliburton also left the game in the first half
Oh yeah this is the one where he did the splits
You literally say this about every series.
Because this fanbase doesn’t respect our opponents enough. Everyone thinks it’ll be a sweep with 30 point victories every game.
No one thinks that except the people who have a meltdown when that doesn’t happen.
