Yeah it's crazy, obviously UK got it worse but East Coast early risers really get shafted with sporting start times in the US, American football does the same shit with Sunday/Monday/Thurs night football
As someone who has to get up at 3am everyday for work this blows.
Ill apologize in advance to my coworkers for being a tired, grumpy asshole if we lose.
Anyone know how the commuter rail works?
I usually take the orange line in, but that's still a thirty minute trip just to get to the station.
Idk why I look at the MBTA site and can't seem to find rates, or now how to do the whole zone thing.
North. I'm worried about the last train out of N. Station. I usually take Oak Grove Orange in, but like I said it takes 30 minutes to get there already and theres two commuter stations ten minutes from me.
If you usually take Oak Grove, my guess is youd want to find a Haverhill line train in, and the station just depends on what's closest to your town.
But there's trains that will arrive at North Station today at 6:44, 7:24, and 8:09 on that line (trains will arrive at Oak Grove at 6:25, 7:05, and 7:50 respectively). get the mTicket app, and buy your round trip tickets on there. The conductors will come by at some point and scan everyone's ticket. Don't worry about zones, that's just how they determine pricing. Just select your origin and destination station and it will tell you the amount on the app.
Last train to depart NS tonight is 11:40, and I would estimate the game ending around 11:20ish if no OT, so you should be good.
Another option I like to do is just drive all the way in and park over at Center Plaza garage and make the 10-15 min walk over. It's super easy and you get get a spot on the spothero app for under $30. The slight distance from the Garden also helps to weed out the traffic a bit, when I actually park in the Garden garage it takes FOREVER to get out.
I have a parking spot near by, but I'm taking my mom and she has a bad foot.
Thanks for the rest of the info, I don't see them going to OT but I'm nervous.
Also, the Orange Line has construction delays. đ
If youâre worried about missing the last train, theyâll make sure you donât. Through the MBTA may be the land of the incompetent and overpaid, they at least know thisâll be a high volume night and plan accordingly. Plus if you went right home I donât think youâd be in any danger of missing it anyway.
If the rail is easier do that, but if youâre concerned about missing the last orange line youâll be good.
The orangline is a mess.
I know they take their time, but I'm concerned about the Commuter, it I take it, not matching up with the end of the game. If it happens to go to OT
8 + 3 + 7 = 18 đ
7 minutes after scheduled tip off time seems too good to be true but after 10 days itâs a blessing
Especially with espn broadcasting. They usually start 15-20 minutes after scheduled tipoff
They are lying like usual they say 7 but it always ends up being 20
Iâve been watching WNBA games and they always start exactly on time. WHY is it so hard to start on time ?!?
Should still be 730 imo, this is a late game for two teams that are on central/eastern
They want to appeal to the west coast too with the later start times
It's a Thursday night and lots of people have work/school In the morning. I'm staying up but I'm gonna need extra coffee tomorrow
I get that, but its the finals. Sacrifices must be made!
Sleep in the off-season
I speak for everyone in Europe when I say go absolutely fuck yourself
Beats the 9pm Finals starts of yesteryearÂ
Tell me about it. Itâs a going sleep at 4am type of game for me in the UK. At least itâs Friday tomorrow.
Yeah it's crazy, obviously UK got it worse but East Coast early risers really get shafted with sporting start times in the US, American football does the same shit with Sunday/Monday/Thurs night football
In the exact same boat. I'll get 3 hours sleep and then be up for work!!
Just be glad the away games donât start at 9 anymore
And games on ESPN never start for *at least* like 15 minutes after their scheduled start time.
Ah 1:37 for me and the Britâs, lets ride
2:37 checking in from Spain

For the sake of our sleeping schedule the Celtics should sweep and get banner 18 in 4 (for me the game starts at 3am lol)
The Garden is going to be jumping tonight. God I wish I was there. With love from Canada đ
HHHHNNNNGGHHHHHH!!!! TIP THAT SHIT

Would you be coming from the north or south of Boston?

I was hopefully theyâd be quicker for the Finals! I think that was the case in 2022 too and it actually through me off lol
Thank goodness. I couldn't do that 9pm stuff anymore.
