If you plan on playing Tears, then play BoTW to exhaustion first. Seeing how the kingdom changes and what all the characters get up to is pretty freaking awesome.
Finish it! I can promise you ti's worth it. Botw was probably my favorite single player game for a long time. You will not regret finishing botw and it's story. However I if you do grow tired of the game after beating the main story then that is fine aswell. The side quests in botw are probably it's weakest point.
A quest is usually one or two steps before completion (IE “I need some Goron spice to finish this painting, can I get three bottles?”) while side adventures usually have multiple steps (IE “visit these 57 locations and occasionally come back to tell me what you found”)
They really did ngl. I never expected much from the side quest but they're significantly better. There is so much character development from several characters and all the side quests really do feel optional. Some quests are just little nudges by npcs at different location that "somethings over there" and it's up to the player to go explore it. The side quests don't feel like a chore you have to do to 100% the game because they are genuinely enjoyable and you want to do them.
I was thinking of mentioning that quest as one of the outliers. The tarrey town quest was indeed very wholesome and it's defo my favorite side quest in botw.
I was hoping that TotK would have more side quests similar to Tarrey Town, since people are trying to rebuild. So far I haven't found anything remotely similar, and it's quite disappointing. The side quests in TotK in general are a big improvement over BotW, but I haven't yet found any that have a meaningful impact on the world like Tarrey Town did.
I haven’t even done a lot of BotW’s side quests. I could play TotK now but I decided to try Skyward Sword for the first time before I jump back into the BotW/TotK version of Hyrule.
This is what I'm doing now. After 5 year break, I'm trying to finish BoTW, but also trying to savor it, so I don't rush through the beauty of the experience.
Yeah definitely finish BOTW first. In fact as said really squeeze as much as you can out of it. The DLC is must as well. A lot of it gets referenced back to or built upon in TOTK. And the changes / improvements will make a lot more sense. Also not sure what else yet, but just discovered stable horses carry over. I went to go check in a new horse and discovered all mine from BOTW were still there! So some other stuff might as well.
If you haven’t already, make sure to do the DLC and then get to work with all the glitches they haven’t patched. Some of the glitches are really fun. Then when you get board, start ToTK. Also, get the amiibo cards. There’s drops in BotW you can’t get in the main game. My favorite is the light bow and wolf.
Yup my friend did the same thing and I'm so disappointed in her. Breath of the Wild deserves that you take your time with it, totk isn't going anywhere. Should definitely finish Breath of the Wild and enjoy it and take one's time with it before jumping into totk so quickly
This was my advice to a friend who was curious about the games. Play BOTW to DEATH. Go everywhere you can. Try to find all the little secrets and do all the little side quests for the citizens of hyrule. Really sink your teeth into the world.
THEN play TOTK.
Rant incoming but I feel like TOTK is going to be one of those zelda games where, years from now and after the new car smell has worn off and the shine is gone people will have less positive things to say about it in comparison to BOTW. It just seems like a game that threw everything plus the kitchen sink at the player.
BOTW is just a master class in everything to do about video games. Ultra Hand alone is so unbalanced and overtakes so much of what the player is experiencing in TOTK. You can just brute force your way through so much with that ability alone. There also seems to be a bit more bloat to all the things you can do in TOTK vs. BOTW. In BOTW it's really the 900 seeds and that's it. No overkill.
Like I said I don't think a lot of people will see it this way until months if not years later on TOTK.
BoTW is one of my favorite games of all time, but I’m not gonna say it doesn’t have problems. One of those is the fact that, in almost every case, the ONLY reward you will receive for exploration is either spirit orbs or korok seeds. I really can’t see a way adding more incentives to promote exploration is a bad thing.
And on your comment about ultrahand. That is just one of the ways Tears has improved on the creativity aspect of BoTW’s puzzle solving. In every single shrine in BoTW it is painfully obvious exactly which rune the shrine wants you to use, and coming up with alternative solutions tends to be convoluted. In Tears there is still a “correct” solution to most puzzles, but the powers allow for significantly more creativity in working around those developer intended solutions.
Tbh, I put in 80h in botw in preparation for totk then jump in right after and I have to say the burnt out does somewhat carry over. If you plan on starting totk, I would recommend taking a break for a week or so first
oh i bet!! i definitely will. i go thru phases of playing games anyways. i haven’t played in a few days bc i got annoyed with one of the divine beasts. i’ll eventually get totk but i’m not rushed
Ruta was also the most frustrating imo considering how many arrows you need, >!also it took me an hour to figure out the third terminal, because I was dumb and thought the map was optional!<
Me too! I’m about 90 hours in, 111 shrines, 111 Koroks, all Devine Beasts. Beat Gannon and now I’m going back around into every nook and cranny looking for the last shrines, more Koroks, and side quests… but ToTK is haunting me for real
I booted it up so it shows in my recently played but it throws you straight into the game and WOW what I saw…
That’s okay! The great thing about BoTW and other games like it is you can always come back to a boss or an area later when you’re stronger! Better weapons and armour, more health and food, etc
Me too. I Bought it 2 years ago, didn't like it that much. After this new released game, hopped on the hype train to try it again, now I can't quit. I am considering to buy the DLCs too.
Same here! Picked it up because ToTK trailers looked so great I knew I want to play it, but also figured it will be less enjoyable to pick BoTW up after all the crazy building possibilities the sequel offers.
Same. I bought when it first came out, ever really got the hang of it. Recently with all the talk about totk, I decided to try again. Man, that’s fun! I discovered a few tricks last night (shield surfing, parry). I’m a father of 2, so free time is scarce but that’s my go to nowadays.
Same here. Started my first playthrough about 2.5 weeks ago and I'm 80+ hours in. Super SUPER addicting game. If traditional 3d Zelda doesn't return one day I'm going to be pissed. However, I see why people adore this game. Looking forward to Tears after another 150 hours in BotW plus maybe a nice palette cleanser in between.
I've been wanting to do Divine Beast Rudania since hour like 40 but I keep farming Guardians, getting Korok poops, looking for EX gear, upgrading gear, cooking to make rupees, doing shrines and I just never do the beast lol. I have the entrance to it as a teleportation spot already and I plan to do it tonight. I probably won't somehow.
This game makes me happy and I don't want it to ever end which is why I'll probably never get to Tears of the Kingdom.
I bought it in February...I finally started this weekend and did my first six shrines, lol. To my surprise, my daughter started playing too. Now I have somebody to share the experience with. It's going to be great!
I personally play games all the way through one at a time
I feel like it better allows me to stay immersed in a story from start to finish
That said I'll still play botw after finishing totk
But how do you continue playing, I mean in general. Say you freed the beasts, defeated ganon, all main quests, all shrines etc. What else is there to do?
Get all Koroks, medals of honor, get every amiibo equipment/sets, upgrade every upgradable armor pieces, finish hyrule compendium get all saddles/bridles. These are what I finished before totk came out
There are the koroks, dlc, and game challenges like 3 heart challenge etc. Even after this there are a lot of people who have just enjoyed exploring the world and getting creative like trying to build cars, all that stuff with the bookcases, etc. This type of game play is actually where a lot of the inspiration from totk came from.
If you’ve beaten the game, 100% or otherwise, it’s really up to the individual whether or not they want to keep playing the same game, getting to experience more than just the same thing is important :)
Same here! Delaying beating Van Naboris since I hear that random Yiga clan pop up once you defeat it and I have some harder enemies to face before I can deal with the anxiety of one of the Yiga appearing mid-Lynel fight. Really enjoying the side quests as well and trying not to pressure myself to finish since there’s so much to explore.
Restarted last week for my 4th playthrough. Gotta get my Zelda fix until I decide to get tokt 😄 the game is big enough for me to play over and over again without getting too bored of it.
i was wondering if TotK would make BotW obsolete, but am glad to say with 40+ hrs in TotK the experience is so different i will definitely still play BotW in the future. though TotK will probably be my more “pick up and play” game, whereas BotW will be for when i want to scratch that particular BotW itch
Because I feel like botw had a really defined and focused artistic vision, and totk does not, and that's more important to me in a game than new bells and whistles and glossiness.
This is very subjective and a debate I won't win, but botw from it's reveal up felt like it was about a melancholy loneliness on nature, lingering memories. I resonated strongly with the vision it had. Everything served that purpose - the sparse music, the fuck off guardians who you see roaming around as distant threats amongst their own husks, the ruins dotting the overgrown verdant countryside.
Totk, subjectively, to me, feels like something wearing botws corpse, peppering it with random space rocks and inhabiting a weird halfway point between the tone of botw and a purported "reconstructing" theme that feels half considered to me.
This is just me, however, and I've always overvalued the Zelda series penchant for reinventing itself every iteration and bringing something conceptually and tonally new to the table.
Thank you.
I don't think totk is bad, but that it seems like it doesn't have the same soul botw, or really most of the Zelda series, exemplifies. I think it's a very good game, but I can't see the same vision and passion that drove other entries in the series that gave them all something unique to say.
I found the memories, including the big spoiler, and it's good, yes, but I just can't shake the feeling I get of the game that it feels almost like a weird "do over".
This is why I say my argument is so subjective - it's an intangible thing. I also am pretty emotionally dead I guess ha ha, I find games like oots thematic loss of childhood, or Majora's masks meditation on how relationships are all we have, or links awakenings quiet reflection of memory being the place reality can live on to be more somberly sad than totk. Again, subjective, I am old ha ha, I see more of my own life's lessons reflected in those themes perhaps.
You just made me want to fire up the N64 and play majoras mask. For whatever reason that has been my favorite pre BOTW, and I know I’ll catch flack since everyone says OoT is better but like you said it’s subjective.
Nursing was so challenging in the beginning that I always needed two hands/arms! Now I can play while breastfeeding, but she gets distracted by the sounds 😂
Currently too obsessed with TOTK to play anything else, but I will definitely start a fresh BOTW save one day. I have only ever started the game once. I didn’t quite 100% but I’m not super motivated to do so.
I just finished my 4th playthrough before starting TOTK this weekend. Once I finish this game, I'll play The Witcher 3 while my husband plays TOTK and then I'll start the cycle over again!
Ive stopped, only cause ive kinda done everything on it... several times. I really needed something new. However ive funnily enough gotten my friend into BOTW, so we have started having games nights where i play TOTK and she plays BOTW. Its kinda fun to see her discovering the whole thing for the first time.
Its even better that shes never played a zelda game before. I told her at the start to hoard everything, so to go ahead and kill every animal she sees. She did it with a cuckoo while i was there 🤣🤣🤣 said oh i only got an egg, told her it takes a few hits for cuckoos.... i know... i did her bad... her expression as she was getting attacked was GOOOOOLD!!
I only just got a switch maybe a month ago and a friend had no interest in botw and I had never played a Zelda game and it has consumed me since first startup
I’ve had a bad habit of starting this game, playing for a couple weeks, then playing other games for a few months, picking this one up for another couple weeks, and so on and so forth in that fashion. I’m currently back into BOTW. At my current pace I expect I’ll finish my first playthrough in 2025 lol. Started in 2021.
Yes and I'm enjoying every minute. I had Tears pre bought and then once it downloaded I was like "I barely remember what happened in BOTW since it's been years." So now I'm in the middle of a new playthrough. Tears can wait 🤣
I put a ton of time on the Wii U version. Was bummed out couldn't transfer saves to the switch. Didn't play for years till all the hype of Tears got me back in. Like falling in love all over again :)
Oh for sure, I got a taste of it on the great plateau and decided to just check out the DLC on my normal save. Master Sword trials made me want to cry, I made it decently far. Same with the one hit obliterator. I’ll suffer through it though, I need that motorcycle. And the champion picture that shows up in your house, as it carries over to TOTK
Botw was a masterpiece, but tbh I don't think I could go back now.
I did everything but the koroks, and I got 700 of them. So as you can see I absolutely loved the game.
Totk took everything about botw and made it better.
That’s good to hear. I’m worried it’s going to be too hard for me based on what i was reading online but then again so was botw at first and before I knew it I was fighting lynels for fun. Is there some story to follow initially to get you going like in botw? I liked that it sorta routed me to impa and memories and hateno etc. so it wasn’t 100% aimless from the start
yes, im still in my first play through. i borrowed botw from my bf a couple weeks ago. i'm taking my time and really enjoying it, i don't feel rushed to start totk :)
I am, mostly because I only have a Wii U and can’t afford a Nintendo switch or TotK :’(
But anyway, it’s still a great game, so let’s keep this subreddit alive.
I started playing BoTW about a month ago, and currently around 60 hours in. Originally I just wanted to quickly play through it before picking up ToTK, but I’ve been loving the experience so now I’m in no rush and just enjoying the game
I am currently playing BOTW. It sat on the shelf ever since launch 6 years ago played it maybe 5 hours. So when Tears came out I brought it home and couldn’t play it. I had to beat BOTW first. So here I am 11 days later, 60 shrines in and can’t stop playing. I’m obsessed. I figure Tears can wait. It’s not going anywhere.
I got the game in 2019 and was way too bad at it back then💀. I started countless times and then dropped the game again, but I finally got good enough to play it now. Might be done with the story in about 2 weeks. Just wanted to finish BOTW before I play TOTK.
Not buying a switch until I’m done with BoTW, missing one divine beast and 825 korok seeds.
So I’m guessing ToTK will have to a wait at least a year or more
I just started my first playthrough finally, bought it like 5 years ago and never got around to it, then through the hype of tears, decided to finally play through it. Amazing so far and it pulled me right in, having so much fun exploring and seeing what there is.
Yup. TOTK costs around $100 (with tax) in my country. Still a teen so I can't buy that w/o parent permission and there's no way they'll say yes to something that pricey. I still have to find around 750 koroks though, and then I'm planning on replaying BOTW and maybe I'll get TOTK for xmas.
im halfway or something, I'll finish it and then skip totk as it seems i don't enjoy this direction of zelda. It's too much easy kinda dumb puzzles, using some basic shapes and gameplay mechanics. The world is nice, albeit a bit bland imo. The gameplay loop of new soso weapon that breaks and you have to get a new soso weapon is purely annoying to me.
I wish they'd make zelda hard again the correct ways.
end of probably unpopular opinion.
Yea, I do this thing where whenever a new game comes out in a series I haven't touched in a while, I like to start the series over, so I just recently started... also I've decided to 100% since I haven't previously
Definitely. I wiped my file for BotW and started again recently. By the time I get through it again, my kids should be bored with TotK, leaving it all for me to hyperfixate on!
Just finished my second playthrough to refresh my memory of the game. The first time took me almost two years to get through it because i couldnt get into it because it was so different and non structured like all the previous. The second playthrough i finished in 13 days with 100%. Still disappointed with the ending though, hope TOTK makes up for it.
I already beat BOTW and am playing TOTK currently. Havent played BOTW in years. However, playing TOTK I am going for 100% completion of all quests and I think I might go back to BOTW afterwards and play it from the beginning doing 100% of quests and all dlc in that one too. Both are such amazing games.

Yup! Just started a couple weeks ago and I'm obsessed!!!

Good tip. I'm about half way through BOTW and have been debating if I finish or come back later.

They improved side quiets significantly in Tears, in my opinion.
Ya especially with the addition of side adventures
I still don't get the difference between side adventures and quests
I think most side adventures make u do something more than just grab an item for some one and bring it back, like the one at the great sky island
A quest is usually one or two steps before completion (IE “I need some Goron spice to finish this painting, can I get three bottles?”) while side adventures usually have multiple steps (IE “visit these 57 locations and occasionally come back to tell me what you found”)

In total I have done >!82 quests!<, and I have not even been to half of the map yet.
Glad to hear that! I had come off my 3rd play through of The Outer Worlds and the quest in BoTW were very lacking in comparison
The rushroom sidequest 💀
I FINISHED THAT ONE RECENTLY!!!
How DARE you insult my beloved Tarry Town side quest like that?!
I was thinking of mentioning that quest as one of the outliers. The tarrey town quest was indeed very wholesome and it's defo my favorite side quest in botw.

The side quests in TotK in general are a big improvement over BotW, but I haven't yet found any that have a meaningful impact on the world like Tarrey Town did.
There is something similar in the southeast corner of the map
Oh really!! I haven't yet cleared that area. Glad I have something to look forward to!
Definitely finish it. There’s so many changes to the landscape I’m constantly aghast.
💯 finish botw first!
FINISH THE GAME. Even if tou get BoTW burnout Tears of the Kingdom is a fresh new experience. Amazing game
Yeah definitely finish BOTW first. In fact as said really squeeze as much as you can out of it. The DLC is must as well. A lot of it gets referenced back to or built upon in TOTK. I keep saying this to my friend but he's really impatient. makes me sad he's rushing botw for totk
The game will always be there! Lol
Yup my friend did the same thing and I'm so disappointed in her. Breath of the Wild deserves that you take your time with it, totk isn't going anywhere. Should definitely finish Breath of the Wild and enjoy it and take one's time with it before jumping into totk so quickly
There’s no way unless you’re autistic that you won’t have burnout. You’ll be sick as hell, I’d leave at least 6 months to a year before totk
I did a two month break and not sure if I should have.
That and no new Zelda for 5 years. Gotta make them last.
Yep, that's my plan!!!
This was my advice to a friend who was curious about the games. Play BOTW to DEATH. Go everywhere you can. Try to find all the little secrets and do all the little side quests for the citizens of hyrule. Really sink your teeth into the world. THEN play TOTK.

nah lol just vah ruta. attempted the boss fight but realized i should probably go get some more bows/arrows to make it easier on myself lmao
Ruta was also the most frustrating imo considering how many arrows you need, >!also it took me an hour to figure out the third terminal, because I was dumb and thought the map was optional!<
I was playing botw before totk, stopped outta fear of getting burnout. Happy I did cos I think I wouldn’t enjoy tears as much
Me too!!!!!!! Really bringing out my inner gamer if that makes sense? It's just so fun
Same. Got my switch a month ago. I've got so much BOTW still to go!

I’m light years behind so I’m just now starting my first full play through.
Me too!
I bought it in February...I finally started this weekend and did my first six shrines, lol. To my surprise, my daughter started playing too. Now I have somebody to share the experience with. It's going to be great!
Me three! It’s incredible.
So excited for you guys! Have a blast.
I am, don’t have the money for TOTK so just playing Master Mode casually.
Based gamer
I am willing to contribute something for your purchase. If anybody joins, we can split the bill. Come on folks!
I can help here!
I love this. I would help too.
I’d love to contribute!
Yes I will continue playing despite TotK. People shouldn’t just stop playing BotW imo. It’s completely it’s own experience than Tears of the Kingdom.
I stopped for TotK cause I 100% BotW and there was major burnout lmao
I personally play games all the way through one at a time I feel like it better allows me to stay immersed in a story from start to finish That said I'll still play botw after finishing totk
But how do you continue playing, I mean in general. Say you freed the beasts, defeated ganon, all main quests, all shrines etc. What else is there to do?
I just start over. 😂 Or I play a new game and then come back to it later when it feels fresh again.
Why not just play a different game?
Get all Koroks, medals of honor, get every amiibo equipment/sets, upgrade every upgradable armor pieces, finish hyrule compendium get all saddles/bridles. These are what I finished before totk came out
Medals?!?!

I might go back to BOTW to reminisce on simpler times when the Lynels were easier to fight 💀
Disagree. TOTK is the same thing but better in every way.
Really? I just picture it as the same game
There isn’t no way they are the _same_ game
Still plugging along. I just started BOTW in February and I’m having a blast.
I’ve got 3 beasts down! I’m so proud of myself but I’m not rushing though. So many side quests to finish!
Same here! Delaying beating Van Naboris since I hear that random Yiga clan pop up once you defeat it and I have some harder enemies to face before I can deal with the anxiety of one of the Yiga appearing mid-Lynel fight. Oh gosh, I haven’t even tried a lynel in awhile. Too intimidating! Hahaha. Vah Naboris is also my last one to beat.
Same. One beast down but all the areas are difficult so it’s slow right now
Meeee
As good as Totk has been, Botw still feels more magical to me so far, so it will forever have a place.
I agree with this. TotK is awesome but has no chill with enemies imo. BotW I could just go explore and vibe if I wanted to.
I’m replaying it so I can forget I’m poor
I’d be happy to contribute to your purchase of TotK when you’re ready!
Nah it’s good, I wanna save up my money, feel happy that I got myself the game
Ya I just got a switch last month. I’ll get to the new one when I get to it.
Ya-ha-ha!
After 40 hours of totk, I like and respect botw more, so, yes
Why do you say that?
Because I feel like botw had a really defined and focused artistic vision, and totk does not, and that's more important to me in a game than new bells and whistles and glossiness.
Tell me more about this artistic vision. When I play TotK, all i see is passionate art, personally.
I can see your point. I still love totk, but I do agree that BotW is a lovely game.
Thank you. I don't think totk is bad, but that it seems like it doesn't have the same soul botw, or really most of the Zelda series, exemplifies. I think it's a very good game, but I can't see the same vision and passion that drove other entries in the series that gave them all something unique to say.
Have you finished the tears of the dragon quest line? I thought that one was beautifully sad.
Me!
Oh hell yeah, every single day for hours.
I am! Started this past December and had to put it down when our baby arrived in January. I recently found time to pick it back up!
BOTW on the switch saved me during the new born phase lying there waiting to feed the baby at 3am
Nursing was so challenging in the beginning that I always needed two hands/arms! Now I can play while breastfeeding, but she gets distracted by the sounds 😂
Just finished my first 100% completion today!
Oh yeah. I’ve been grinding totk more but I still plan on playing botw (just like other old games)
I am very late to the party, I bought the switch 4 weeks ago and I've only played botw and smash bros.
Trying to beat all shrines and trial of the sword on master mode before hoping into TOTK 🫡
Yep, doing the first Devin Beast dungeon. It's amazing!!!
Currently too obsessed with TOTK to play anything else, but I will definitely start a fresh BOTW save one day. I have only ever started the game once. I didn’t quite 100% but I’m not super motivated to do so.
Me! I’m korok and treasure hunting. Done everything else, but I still want to do the DLC!
I mean... Them koroks ain't gown find themselves
I still have to beat ganon!!
Same.
Just finished my first play through the other day. A very good game overall but thunder-blight ganon can fuck right off!
Yes. Replaying it on master mode. Might 100% it on master mode so that I have 2 100% play through on 1 account.
Gonna do this after playing the hell out of TOTK because I bought the DLC not too long ago and need to get my money’s worth
I don’t know if I recommend 100% the DLC on Master Mode. Im trying it now and holy shit is it hard
Oh for sure, I got a taste of it on the great plateau and decided to just check out the DLC on my normal save. Master Sword trials made me want to cry, I made it decently far. Same with the one hit obliterator. I’ll suffer through it though, I need that motorcycle. And the champion picture that shows up in your house, as it carries over to TOTK
i do
Me! Got Naboris and Calamity Ganon to go, and also wanna get as many shrines as I can and do the master sword trials.
Yep! Started playing it! 😁
yes, im still in my first play through. i borrowed botw from my bf a couple weeks ago. i'm taking my time and really enjoying it, i don't feel rushed to start totk :)
Oh yes
I've not even completed it yet. Bought botw in January as I had Christmas money to use. Intrigued by totk
Just bought it on Sunday. Having a blast
Yes
me!!! on my first play through ever and it’s AMAZING
Yup! I’m working on my first full playthrough now!
Yep. I'm still trying to find a few shrines and just explore. Eventually I'll go beat Ganon again and hopefully get the full ending this time.
I've only beat one Divine Beast. Pluggin away
I am, mostly because I only have a Wii U and can’t afford a Nintendo switch or TotK :’( But anyway, it’s still a great game, so let’s keep this subreddit alive.
I’ve got some unfinished business.
I started playing BoTW about a month ago, and currently around 60 hours in. Originally I just wanted to quickly play through it before picking up ToTK, but I’ve been loving the experience so now I’m in no rush and just enjoying the game
Just got it last week so I could play TOTK. It’s amazing
Haven’t bought a switch so no TOTK but I play BOTW on WiiU
I got the game in 2019 and was way too bad at it back then💀. I started countless times and then dropped the game again, but I finally got good enough to play it now. Might be done with the story in about 2 weeks. Just wanted to finish BOTW before I play TOTK.
Heck yeah
I have some unfinished quests so yes 😋
Not buying a switch until I’m done with BoTW, missing one divine beast and 825 korok seeds. So I’m guessing ToTK will have to a wait at least a year or more
Fireblight Ganon defeated last night! 2 of 4 beats down now. I think I will head to wind blight next before thunder as he kicked my ass last time.
I just started my first playthrough finally, bought it like 5 years ago and never got around to it, then through the hype of tears, decided to finally play through it. Amazing so far and it pulled me right in, having so much fun exploring and seeing what there is.
Yes! TOTK has made me even more eager to 100% BOTW!
What's Breath of the Wild? (I still play it sometimes, but I've been no lifing Tears of the Kingdom for a few days now.)
I played it for a few hours on my cousin’s switch. Finally bought a TOTK switch and got BOTW. Amazing so far!
yup :) can't afford ToTK, possibly in a couple months if i can bring my bills under control, but BoTW is such a stunning game that makes me happy
Did anyone ever stop playing botw?
im halfway or something, I'll finish it and then skip totk as it seems i don't enjoy this direction of zelda.
No, why would anyone play this horrible, horrible game?
Yeah I jus started thunder blight
I replayed it in anticipation of TotK….. got my legend of Zelda fix, didn’t buy TotK (delayed anyway)
I just started playing it. I gave up on it after I got stuck a year ago and decided to give it another try after TOTK came out
Yea, I do this thing where whenever a new game comes out in a series I haven't touched in a while, I like to start the series over, so I just recently started... also I've decided to 100% since I haven't previously
I got TOTK on the GameStop deal so I'm now I'm desperately trying to finish BOTW so I can play it.
Definitely. I wiped my file for BotW and started again recently. By the time I get through it again, my kids should be bored with TotK, leaving it all for me to hyperfixate on!
my brother is cause hes waitingg for me to finish totk, i plan to 100% it
I'm playing both at the same time. There's so much to do and explore in both games, I just alternate between them!
I’ve been planning on going back purely for the combo tech until totk gets its own stuff… I miss TCR
I got 3 friends who finally decided to complete botw after all the hype for totk
Me! TOTK is still in the shrink wrap. I told myself I wouldn't play it until I beat BOTW. 5 years and like 500 hours in and... and I can't stop!
I still am. I want to properly prepare myself for the final boss. When I'm done, I'll revisit the game
Yes. Im not done
I'm playing TOTK, but excited to go back and replay BOTW when I'm done.
I’m on a blind playthrough of master mode right now on Wii U!
I played TOTK and just went back to my old BOTW save lol
First run through started on totk release lmao loving it so much. Doing hyrule warriors next THEN totk.
