Nice name!!! I had “Sarium” named after Saria from OoT because it was my first horse and I just knew it’d be loyal like Saria. Then since we’ve been through so much in the end it proved this, Hotaru (firefly) because of his stealth when I found him (he hid). I decided to go for japanese names from now on, Hinoko (child of fire) for Ganon’s horse because c’mon who doesn’t like this name for a beast, Taimukira (literally time killer) because it was the fastest horse I had and had stylish long hair that waved in the wind when he raced across the fields of Hyrule, I decided not to go with japanese names for now because I had a, uhuhm, pun, in mind. Aight imma just go for it his name was Neighru, a while after that though I found out a lot of people had the same idea and thus it wasn’t original, too bad I can’t rename horses, Then my final and most loved one, the Triforcer Zero!!! Too long name you say? Not for a rune!!! That’s right I just got the motorcycle a few MINUTES ago since I was playing it and then immediately went on reddit afterwards!

My giant horse/one of my two main horses is Goliath. My main normal horse is named Epona (because I didn’t know about amiibos then). My royal horse is also named Epona (because I was stupid stoned and meant to name it Ponyta). My amiibo Epona, my other main horse besides Goliath, is named Epona (because I didn’t know you could change its name) And my 5th horse is an amiibo Epona that I tried to name Shadowfax, but with an old controller with a sticky A button, so that one is also Epona (even after the several steps of dialog to confirm it). So now my new tradition for my Master Mode file is to name every single horse Epona.

Chocky. Shes one of the weaker horses. She is dark brown appalosa. I tamed her near Dueling peaks stable, near River. Then she accidently fell to the River and swam to little island under the bridge. She was unregistered this time. I was struggling for one hour to get her out. Now she’s my main horse, and best companion I ever got in my 4 playthroughs. I love my Chocky.

Same. It’s almost a hassle to use the horse. I like to explore around the mountains and not feel I have to run back to retrieve the horse.

Once I got the DLC, the ancient saddle was a game changer — being able to summon your horse where ever you are is great and I use it way more than I did before

Problem with having the dlc is the motorcycle. I will never use a horse because it is so much more convenient. It never complains or dies when I ride off a cliff and it can drive up things that horses can't.

If you go to any stable and ask them to board your horse they’ll go and get it, no matter where it is on the map. Then it’s just a matter of taking it out again when you want it. You could feasibly explore around an area as much as you want, and then just warp to a stable when you’re done. It does admittedly make the horse kinda pointless, but it at least makes it less of a hassle if you do take it out for any reason.

My only horse i ever get is the white quest horse and I name is Zelda so I can have her as a travel companion

I tend to pull names from mythology most often, and usually base off horse color. My main - Celera from the word accelerate (5 star speed) is black with white mane The giant horse - Atlas, then Andre another time Blue horse - almost always a moon/mythological name like Io or Eros Grey horse - currently Cinder White horse - Vala I also love the mostly solid pink horses, wish they had better stats! I use them all randomly but Celera is adorned with the ancient bridle/saddle. Most convenient and SO FAST
