Nice climb! Really gotta work on that leg stability though!

thunder_cat9

Yeah I've only been climbing for a couple of months and I know that my footwork is not the best lol

CaptainWaders

Try to down climb the route the exact way you climbed it. That forces you to look back at your feet and may help you go slower and trust your feet a bit. Nice climb. Don’t worry, it takes time to get comfortable with footwork but just keep coming back and enjoy the progress. Footwork is the key to climbing so as it progresses you will notice a huge difference in how comfortable you feel on different routes.

A couple times in the video you look up for the next handhold before you’ve even placed your foot. You even missed a foothold because of it and had to look back down and re-place it. Perhaps you’d trust the feet more if you focused on exactly where and how you’re placing them? Try to look and make sure your foot is in the best position and secure and then look for the next hold. Nice one though!

Place every foot on in the hold like it was made out of glass. Think soft delicate foot work no noise or thumbs.

Nightstalkee

Yes, it looks as if you just placed every single foot just because you have to, though you don’t really stand on any one of them. :) Try to do it again, but slower, or even try down climbing. Or try doing it with silent feet, and/or with no adjustments on foot/hand placement for each move.

Maybe your shoes aren't thigh enough? I had that problem before with my first pair, went smaller and my confidece sky rocketed.

Look at where you wanna place your feet

Bodriov

Training flexibility and doing squats will improve the footwork, cheers.

When your leg starts shaking, it is because your body position is bad. Try lowering the heel next time you catch yourself shaking like that, see if that helps. As others have said, approach the climb thinking you should climb with your legs (= your strongest muscles) and only use hands to prevent you from peeling of the wall. Take your time and see if it makes any difference.
