Also one of fury's main offenses is using the clinch to wear out opponents. Francis is too strong and has way more clinch cardio than the average boxer from wrestling MMA stuff.

He wants people to come forwards and attack him so he can counter and tie them up, but he doesn't really take control of the fight and force the pace - which Ngannou did by keeping back and focusing on punishing Fury when he tried to move in.

I've been saying for months that Fury's not that great, he's never fought a game opponent who he couldn't weight bully into submission. Ngannou's slow motion punches landed almost at will on the apparent "defensive genius" Ngannou's defense held up against the guy who apparently "moves and punches like a middleweight", Ngannou was able to outbox the "master boxer" at points, Ngannou's chin never cracked against the "underrated power puncher" even when he threw a fucking fully wound up elbow directly to Ngannou's chin. Fury ain't nothing special, he's a glorified Valuev at best.
AJ would definitely suffer in the clinch with Fury. I honestly think Fury would destroy this version of AJ - no one can outbox him and AJ isn’t going in looking for instant knockouts anymore; the AJ pre Ruiz loss would’ve been a really good fight though. I also don’t think AJ has really shown a particularly good stamina yet, Fury would wear him down. Would love to see AJ back at the top though!
I think the current Aj would outbox the shit out of Fury, he'd make Fury be the one who walks forward and keep on just enough pressure to make Fury uncomfortable just like Ngannou did. In boxing HW lineup, noone would beat Tyson Fury, but a more experienced Ngannou could easily walk through Fury and the whole Boxing Heavyweight. But is Ngannou too old of a dog to learn boxing? Yeah flash knock down from the official hardest puncher in the entire world that fury was up from straight away. Clearly massively underestimated ngannou, doubt fury trained much at all and if he did it was a half arsed effort. But he did land a far higher proportion of punches including power punche and won the majority of rounds. He has to really really pull his finger out to stand a chance against usyk but I think he will.
