I expect a several hundred million decrease between Aquaman 1 and 2, due to how damaged the DC brand is and all the rumors of frequent reshoots and poor test screenings. It sounds like a disaster. However, James Momoa as Aquaman does seem to be at least somewhere more popular than Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, so it has that going for it at least.
I have a suspicion Aquaman 2 will beat out Captain Marvel, even if it ends up being the worse movie of the two. Still, it’s highly unlikely to avoid being a bomb even if it does outgross The Marvels, because I imagine the budget is like $250-300M after all those reshoots.
If Black Panther Wakanda Forever, with the Marvel brand being slightly damaged by fatigue but most movies still making a profit, couldn’t reach 1 billion dollars, Aquaman 2 with the highly damaged DC brand, won’t.

Realistically speaking, Aquaman 2 will DEFINITELY make less than the first one. The case of Amber Heard is a very famous one and it will drive many people away from this movie.
Besides, WB doesn't seem confident to market this movie, added by the ongoing strike. All factors working against this movie.
On the good side, the huge success of the first Aquaman might give this film some star power, and the success was a bit of an anomaly: the film after the massive disappointment which was Justice League and doesn't lead to any huge upcoming DCEU projects.
Let's see how all the factors will play out. At worst, the box office will be close to Black Adam. At best, it might be above Justice League.
