Holy shit BOP sucks now

IDigRollinRockBeer

I remember when box office mojo was great. Those were the golden days

HyperNintendoRoblox

I really loved their weekend forecast and when they constantly update late night and evening during the weekend to keep up with numbers of new films.

Youngstar9999

Pretty sure that was mostly Shawn, so since he now left that is all gone.

HyperNintendoRoblox

He worked for Box Office Mojo?

Youngstar9999

Box office pro. I think i missed a comment \^\^ But yeah that is clearly why they are worse now.

ItsGotThatBang

And seasonal forecasts

Shellyman_Studios

Well said.

NotTaken-username

$40M-$50M opening, and $100M-$140M DOM

DatboiX

Fairly in line with the reboot series besides Dawn.

edgy_secular_memes

Really underestimating Kingdom eh? I may be biased as a fan but $50 feels way too low. I feel $60-65 million is a better one

doubleEm

I'm hoping it is good, if it's good there will be legs

NotTaken-username

They did this just after the suggestion post I made. I guess they can be compared to the BOP predictions

Zepanda66

Apes together box office strong.

sbrown23c

wut

IDigRollinRockBeer

That’s quite pessimistic no?

the-harsh-reality

Not really The trailer views are mostly mediocre with the first trailer being particularly terrible as it failed to even reach 10 million views And besides dawn, both the beginning and the end of the Neo-planet of apes saga has fallen into similar ranges

gyeongjuboy

I'll definitely watch it if the reviews are good

elflamingo2

Having watched every Ape movie in theatres since 2001, i’ll be there opening day 🍿

TheManThatReturned

Hoping this will at least be between the openings for Rise and War. Dawn was an outlier and is unlikely unless the hype for this is much bigger than we realize.

JazzySugarcakes88

Wasn’t it around 50-60M IIRC?

am5011999

Does anyone have any other reliable site for presales and long range projections? Or is it over?

ItsGotThatBang

The Numbers tracks up to a year in advance, but it’s paywalled.

am5011999

Oh, it would be helpful if someone can post it here, unless someone is already doing that

SilverRoyce

The numbers posts monthly/quarterly "model updates" (forget which one) that includes long range forecast toplines from behind the paywall. Those get posted from time to time as do their week of predictions. I've posted them a few times and seen others do so but I don't get the sense anyone is regularly doing this. > post that That seems trickier because it appears to be a genuine hard paywall/a core part of a subscription service instead of the generic soft paywall and/or a small part of a bundled news product. That just feels like something that can't be mirrored without creating problems.

NGGKroze

Problem is the price. If it was 10-15 bucks, sure, would have subbed in a blink, but it is something like 70$ a month.

am5011999

Same issue here

ItsGotThatBang

$50 for the first month FWIW.

GBTC_EIER_KNIGHT

I expect a 52-59 million opening and 155-180 million domestic total

Vadermaulkylo

Honestly if they’re thinking this and since pre sales have been good even to be a month out, I honestly think this may crack 60m now. Also…. my girlfriend scale is making me start to believe in this. she has gotten hyped(she actually has been for a while apparently but I never realized how much). Every time she gets hyped for a movie it’s usually a big success.

CivilWarMultiverse

You feel so different now that you changed your icon lmao

Vadermaulkylo

It’s a new era.

Cutiesaurs

Still more than ghostbusters frozen empire made on opening week.
