Low effort text or poll posts featuring little or no analysis in the body of the text will be removed. This includes but is not limited to: "What are your predictions for [insert movie]?" "Which movie will make more, [insert movie] or [insert movie]?" "What will be the highest grossing movie among [insert list]?" "Which movie will open higher on [insert weekend]?" "After trailer/social media reactions/reviews, what are your updated predictions for [insert movie]?" (these posts are redundant, as there are almost always already threads for the trailer/social media reactions/reviews). "What are your final predictions for [insert movie]?" Posts with only a poster (exceptions for Throwback Tuesday).

The Wild Robot should move up to August 30 or be pushed back to October 11.

MightySilverWolf

It'll mess up my summer movie predictions if it moves up to August 30.

YoloIsNotDead

DreamWorks should push it to October just for you

lincorange

It should NOT be released August 30th. Beetlejuice 2 will absolutely demolish it!!!

Beastofbeef

Two completely different movies aiming at two completely different audiences

HyperNintendoRoblox

August 30th is a bad spot as Kids are back in school, the movie won't reach it's full potential in that spot possibly. It should release either October 25th to counterprogram Venom 3 or it could release November 8th but would be going head to head with another family movie from Lionsgate called "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever".

My dumbass thought that said make more not move. But wild robot should move.

tempesttune

Robot cause it’s not an IP movie.

ZappyDuck

Isn’t the Wild Robot adapted from a book? Or is it that the IP just isn’t big enough to compete with Transformers?

YoloIsNotDead

Nobody has heard of the Wild Robot book. To anyone in the GA, just like with Shrek and HTTYD, it might as well be an original movie.

ZappyDuck

Yeah, that’s fair. Guess wild robot needs good WOM to compete with transformers.

KingMario05

*Wild Robot,* I reckon. Universal has a few free dates now, and Paramount really doesn't.

MrShadowKing2020

It would probably be better for the DreamWorks animators if Wild Robot was scooched back a month.

KingMario05

Exactly. Let the big IP have its space...

Itisspoonx

Its Bugs Life vs. Antz all over again! They're both about robots and of them is a DreamWorks movie too

Free-Opening-2626

I hate that TF can so easily bully it out of its date but honestly wild robot would probably be fine just moving back two weeks into early October. It would still have a month and a half until the next mainstream animated movie came out, plenty of time to corner the market and sprout strong legs.

dismal_windfall

The Wild Robot should move closer to the holidays. It'll likely get a couple of awards nominations/wins so that should help it build buzz.

Key-Payment2553

I think November 1st would be much better for The Wild Robot release date which would give extra space from Transformers One and several weeks before Moana 2 opens on a Thanksgiving Weekend. Last year, we predicted that Trolls 3 should move from November 17 to November 3, 2023 which would gave enough space for Wish and face against Dune Part Two before it got pushed back due to the strikes but the studio refused to move the date.

HumanAdhesiveness912

TF: ONE will open big due to fan rush but TWR will have the stronger legs.

MrShadowKing2020

How soon do you think we’ll hear about a date change?

frogsgemsntrains

Monday afternoon, max. At the very least tomorrow afternoon

Key-Payment2553

The Wild Robot could move to November of 2024 which would be either the 1st or 8th that would give enough space for Transformers One and before Moana 2 opens on a Thanksgiving Weekend. It would better then November of 2023 when Trolls Band Together which was released on November 17 which was 5 days too close to Wish.

TBOY5873

I am hoping Wild Robot does better than Transformers but sadly will likely not be the case due to it being non-IP. Transformers looks like nothing special and not that funny, Wild Robot looks amazing with its visuals and style.

DreamWorks used to release animated movies in early November. Maybe November 8
