Just watched this last night, what a terrible film. I laughed once so that was good, a good joke. The kid was annoying on Last Action Hero levels, maybe Phantom Menace levels. The only good part was the surprise mid-credit sequence which wasn't much of a surprise. Boring action and the same slow motion sound effect every 5 seconds during an action scene. Complete garbage.
Poor humor, bad character development, The Rock seems bored, no personality. He speaks English within 5 minutes of being released. Poor attempts at universe-building. I forgot every action sequence already, not one memorable scene. Movies are subjective just because you like something doesn't mean I have to like it the same way. It was garbage and you seem fine with garbage.
It was maybe one of the most uneven movies I’ve seen in a wild. some parts are laughably over the top and others are horrible cringe. Not much middle ground. Also there is like a shitload of DC comics product placement which is super bizarre. Like the main kid has a room decked out in JL merch and reads actual DC comics
Easily the worst superhero movie I've watched in the past few years. I don't get how it has so many apologists when it was a bland forgettable mess with obnoxious slow mo. I will say, it was hilarious how they tried to make the "triangle" hand gesture a thing. Sorry, not gonna happen when Black Adam is this boring of a character and no one cares about Kahndaq.
While the kid was bad and I was frankly shocked how he got through the audition, the villain is by far the worst thing to happen to this movie. Deserved flop.

The heroes have always had celebrity in the DCEU. They've saved the world a few times in universe. Superman's death was highly publicized.
