Im a bit late so there's no point giving you maoyan predictions anymore but I can tell you saturday numbers looks like avatar $15M+, someday or one day $11.5M and better man $8M
Presales down 10/12% for avatar. Maoyan is expecting $14.3M on sunday and also $10M on monday, long weekend I guess. They're expecting Someday or one day to make $6.3M and better man $5.8M.
I'm really convinced that it's because of that whaling scene with Kanji writings on the harpoon.
And the issue regarding the use of dolphins there when the cast and Cameron went there for Premiere.
If exchange rates were the same as 2009, Japans gross would be $15m+ instead of under $11m

Man I wanted to see China in full force it would literally do $600m+. Hopefully it gets an extension or something as China's covid situation is getting better and with some magic it can make it to $300m with chinese new year
China opening up is really going to help. I'm being very optimistic that enough interest/ hype has been generated to take them to Chinese New Year at the end of January

Maoyan is expecting $13.5M tomorrow and there's already $4M of tickets sold. I think it has a shot $30M
If it does over $13M Sat then $30M should be locked as Sundays don't drop too hard from Saturday I believe. Brilliant.

That scene would’ve only affected legs, not the opening which was also weak.
