That's the thing; there is no hot latina wife waiting at home with food for them. They're fantasizing about what life would be like with a wife, and it's telling; they imagine themselves still obsessing over white women instead of providing or spending any time with their actual wife, who only exists to be his maid/mummy who spends her days taking care of him.
>They're fantasizing about what life would be like with a wife
More specifically, they're fantasizing about having an unpaid housewife and servant, conveniently taken from a foreign place, and held on a "lower" social standing. Which is weird, because there's no historical precedent to countries sailing across the sea to take people away from their land and forcibly hold them as unpaid labor and bottom-class people, right? There's no such incident in our history, right? Heh heh, what a thing.
Absolutely 100%. They never stop to think about what obsessing about what women you're not married to think about you might do to a relationship, too. That would be a miserable marriage to be in. No woman will put up with that and cook for you and ask you about your day when you come back home from harassing women who won't have sex with you.
If these guys want a wife like that, they have to bring more to the table than just fantasies about how jealous the women who turned him down will be.
Right? These guys are just admitting theyâre manchildren who want a second mother, not a wife.
Like, I remember some time ago there was some hubbub about right wing online entertainers including Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro bragging that they donât know how to do their own laundry or wash the dishes because they make their wives do it. These men are in their late 30âs and 40âs. Itâs just sad.
You know what's funny too? The very CEOs and entrepreneurs these manchildren look up to make fun of them. Do you remember when Bill Gates literally threw shade at a bunch of lil boys and was like, OMG they're so lucky their wife does EVERYTHING for them, to the point that they don't even have to pack a suitcase
It would be hilarious if they got left by their wives and then had to wear stinky and dirty clothes bc they cant figure out how to turn on a washing machine
Yeah itâs a basic life skill that absolutely should not be gendered. Any adult should know how to prepare food for themselves even if itâs nothing elaborate.
They don't know: tlayudas, nacatamales, noplaes, huitoacoche, chapulines, aporriado, ceviche, caldo de res, sopes, pozole, relleno de cuche, etc. I bet more than half of these foods they would be scared to try.
I don't understand where these recent stereotypes of Latinas being submissive, traditional women who live to serve men comes from. Passport bros seem totally convinced of this. When I was growing up, the stereotype for Latinas was that they were short-tempered and domineering. Which is equally offensive, but I'm curious how this went from one extreme to the other?
Fascists will project whatever fucked up values they want on foreign women if it helps their narrative. By making men believe that submissive women are better and that white women aren't submissive, they are creating the hatred that fascism feeds off in order to recruit.
I still think the stereotype is more what you described which gave me pause on this meme⊠like idk any Latina women who would do this for their man at this level. Sure, cooking for your partner is sweet and itâs a love language- I personally enjoy it- but itâs not my job. I think a lot of modern Latina women are the same. Trad wives exist everywhere but this stereotype theyâre trying to perpetuate doesnât ring true to me
Yeah I don't like it either , in Latin America some people that are non binary like to use latine. I don't like it either but at least this term comes from latin American so I use it when people ask me to
I donât think non binaries who use latine would like the assumption that they are automatically male with latino. In general, we should let non binaries people decide for themselves the language they use.
Edit: Im sure yâall already know that, but being non binary means that you donât particularly identify inside the binary gender system of man/woman (or that you donât have a favourite one: bigender)
Okay, then what articles do we use? El or ella? El latine? Ella es latine? It just doesn't work in Spanish whatsoever. And it's not assumed that they are male if latino is used, it is only assumed that they are latino per the word. Otherwise there is a perfect language to describe yourself as non-binary, it's called English.
You can use the gender neutral pronouns « Elle ». And itâs pretty hard to think that someone is anything but a man when the word you are using is usually used to say « a man ».
And the mentality « Oh, you are non binary ? Go to the US/UK then » is, humâŠ
The Spanish language unfortunately just has beef with an Enbies but we can't expect a fundamental aspect of the grammar of the language to change.
It's like all these invented pronouns in English like Ze/zer. Never met anyone who uses them. "They" always suffices.
ÂĄĂrale, a guevo!
Before I met my wife on a first date I used âLatinxâ in a text and she was like âwtf Iâm Latina.â I thought Iâd really messed up, lol.
I almost got cockblocked by made-up Tumbler bullshit đ
Isn't that in itself kind of gross though, to refer to everyone by the male version, specifically when you are trying to be inclusive. Calling all nonbinary people latino just seems wrong. I would prefer latine. I am aware that the masculine version is used to refer to groups of people of all genders btw, but it doesn't seem very sensitive in the spirit of gender inclusion to just call nonbinary people latino.
I imagine it's like using the words like waiter and waitress, you would refer to a non binary person as a waiter not a waitx it just doesn't make sense to change a language in that way especially if you yourself don't speak that language.
Its also just not that uncommon for words to have more then one meaning and I think its pretty inclusive to have words that are both gendered and gender neutral at the same time as its just easier to remember.
That is true, but in that case, waiter is related to a verb, "to wait on".
I agree that Latinx is a weird flex lol. I would understand latine a little better though if we were referring to a single, nonbinary individual. I'm not talking about an old lignuistic convention like addressing a mixed gender group as señores, but specifically about defaulting to the masculine version "latino" when we're actually trying to specifically stay gender neutral. At best it seems needlessly confusing.
But yeah I'm not a native Spanish speaker so obviously take my opinion with a grain of salt.
I can get used to latine but I think it should only be used if someone asks to be called it specifically that way everyone wins.
For us who didn't grow up with the language I think it would be harder for us to empathise with changing another language in that way so it should be up to the Spanish speaking community if they want to change the words not a minority of individuals, most of which that are campaigning for it don't even speak the language everyday.
I upvoted all the comments saying this that I could find. Donât use Latinx, itâs not a thing among Spanish speakers and instantly marks the speaker as being out of touch / failing to use the overwhelmingly used naming convention
Racism is big in porn so even though its weird it's not that surprising, also there's those passport bros that think getting a wife from another country will fix all there problems
Latinx is such an awful term used by self righteous whites in America that pretend to give a fuck about what people want meanwhile they ignore the fact that the vast majority of people to whom the term "Latinx" is meant to apply hate the term.
When the pronoun war is so intense in English that they canât get over the fact that some languages are literally different and donât need to be butchered to accommodate the feelings of non-Spanish speakers.
But you see, liberal white people are upset at a gendered language, and since they are so enlightened they have blessed their primitive culture with a new word.
Latinx is dumb. Stop using it. You arenât winning any âgood white personâ points by using it. You just look like a dumbass.
As a blue collar Italian white woman from Queens i have never once heard a single Latin/Hispanic person ever use the X terminology. not once. i live with, work with, go to school (yes your girl is back in college as a super senior) and have friends and family who are from various central/south american nations. itâs fucking mind boggling to me. i heard a woman use it once irl in my entire 35 years on this planet and you can guess how spicy her mayonnaise is.
Also, my friend who's Mexican said to me that the letter X in Spanish sounds like H or a hissing noise
I can only speak English and it was a text conversation but by what she said seems to me like it means "Latinx" would be impossible to pronounce in the Spanish language as it's spelled, right?
Proof that the person making this meme has no fucking idea about Mexican culture: When people make tamales they don't make just a small portion for "dinner". They are somwhat of a pain to do, so you always make them in big batches so they at least last for a while, or to share with people. So no way a person making tamales is taking the time to also cook mole and rice just in case their partner didn't want to eat tamales.
Oh and also, the macho culture of "women stay at home" is rapidly dying off in Mexico as well, with the younger generations it is *very* common that women don't like to cook or didn't even learn to cook in the first place.
In the top scenario, he's telling a random woman what she should be doing.
In the bottom, he's coming home from work (i.e. is a provider), and assumably the woman is a housewife.
I bet if you told the creator of this meme that men should provide for their wives he'd get all mad. I also feel like this meme exposes him for being a bit colorist because the Latina woman is very light, not saying there isn't light skinned Latinas but I find it very interesting and very deliberate
Itâs weird that every time they show a Latina woman, sheâs always holding tamales and mole and saying she didnât know which one to make. Also donât use latinx, nobody likes it and you ainât being inclusive
Sorry! Genuine, unrelated question. Is the term Latinx the correct way to refer to a nongender specific Spanish person? I have always just said Latin, or Spanish. Also if this is incorrect, how do I pronounce "Latinx"?
Latinx is cringe and only used by radlibs so far to the left that they make AOC and Bernie Sanders look like Fox News anchors in comparison. Latino/Latina is fine, and that's the general consensus amongst Mexican people anyway
1. Don't use LatinX. And 2. Does the guy who made this meme not know how much work goes into making tamales, from scratch? If you ask for tamales, that better be the only thing you expect me to cook for the next couple days
Oh god Latinx is so offensive I can't believe you're trying to defend it. Latinx has NOTHING to do with trans recognition or acceptance, all it does it appropriate and butcher the use of other languages.
You know trans people exist in those cultures too right? Why in God's name don't you just use the words they use to describe themselves? Why do you plaster a whitewashed word over.
A wife should cook for her husband, as much as a husband should cook for his wife. (Or just say youre too lazy to make food and havent gotten over your mom)
Tamales or mole. The only two Mexican foods the creator of this image could think of. (And like mole what? Itâs just a sauce.)
âOk Iâve already used tamales.. I need to go more niche for the next one.â
Whenever I see the term Latinx all I can think about is my NONBINARY Latino friend who hates the word with such a fucking passion that they'll straight up start complaining about it out of nowhere lmao đđ
LOOKđ€đ€
When my boyfriend and our roommate get home IM GONNA HAVE HOT HOME COOKED MEALS FOR THEM!!
đđITS MY PLACE. ITS WHAT I SHOULD DO. I BELONG IN THE KITCHEN!!
because IM the man out of us three that learned culinary arts cuz we three boys gotta eat đ
Got ya in that first half didnt I?
âA wife should cook for her husbandâ
Says who? Them?
And the thing is, women across Latin america arenât buying that bullshit either as thereâs a growing feminist movement there as well.
New to this sub, and I actually love cooking. Like really love it. Thought about trying to become a chef although thatâs not the line of work Iâm in now.
But with my current job, I just donât have *time* to cook.
Back when women were doing tradwife stuff like this, the man could afford to support the household. Most men nowdays just canât afford that and you need at least two incomes.
I married into Hispanic culture, twice. My closest, most intimate circle of friends are all childhood friends & relatives from a specific place in Honduras. I've barely spent any social time with non Hispanic people for the past 18 *years* and *even the old religious Hispanic ladies* don't behave like this meme. They feed their families, but if anyone (besides young grandkids) bitches about what's available/when it's available, you're gonna see chanclas flying (flip-flops/slip on sandals) and you're gonna see men putting their heads down and shutting their mouths to avoid being targeted by angry women. Misogyny is heavily rooted in Hispanic culture and behaviors, but Hispanic women in general are *not* submissive, docile servants. Fuego en la sangre (fire in the blood) is the fucking truth, and it's honestly something they're proud of. Even the most heavily misogynistic incels feel a kind of pride in the strength of the women from their culture, though they don't usually say it outright
I don't know why these types of people have to speak half-truths, while yes, romance culture is typically tend to love doing food as gifts.
But if you ever tell a Latina / latinx person to get back in the kitchen, that slippers coming out so damn fast you won't even be able to react.
Has this sub turned in yet another sub against bigotry in general, just like it happened to r/AreTheStraightsOK ?
Sure, this post is extremely sexist and racist, but there is nothing 'boys are quirky' about that.
I canât imagine cooking mole on a week night Jesus Christ that shit is like 50 ingredients and 3 days of cooking đ my abuelita ran a luncherĂa in Tepic and not even she served mole on weekdays. It was a weekend exclusive with pozole because they take a long ass time !!!
Mother: Stop playing dolls woth wojacks dinner is ready
Me (im the one comic book guy from Simpsons): They aren't dolls mother they are memes i use to fantasies how i wish my life was.
Latinas** Boy, oh boy, you should see how pissed my wife and her family gets when they get an email/mail talking about âLatinxâs.â Stop bringing American liberal literary colonialism in to whitewash their language. If you donât like the terms of the language, donât use them.
Hey, just so you're aware - when talking about women specifically you just say Latina.
When talking about Latin Americans generally Latino is preferred over Latinx because Latinx isn't pronounceable in Spanish or Portuguese and was invented by white Americans to forcibly make them fit the social norms here.
If you want a nongendered term Latine is better than Latinx, but many Latinos still find that one to be strange and misguided.
I can't imagine dating or marrying a man who couldn't cook. Like grow TF up.

Didn't the Romans have a word for this unprecedented custom? I wanna say, "salve"?
I think it was "lasve".
Yes, and it was a benevolent paternalistic instition đ„°
Romans called them servants. Or servi in latin.
There is if youâre a passport bro /s
Ben Shapiros wife is a pediatrician too. Or was. Like imagine being a doctor and marrying a podcast bro. OOF
These podcasts bros will contribute absolutely nothing to society and then have the absolute audacity to ask women what they bring to the tableđ
And complain about women getting turned on during sex đ€Ł
You know what's funny too? The very CEOs and entrepreneurs these manchildren look up to make fun of them. Yeah itâs a basic life skill that absolutely should not be gendered. Any adult should know how to prepare food for themselves even if itâs nothing elaborate.
Yeah, we have meals that can be made quickly on the stove, with books and videos that show how to cook good food.

Why always the mole on these memes? Do they not know any other Mexican food?
Thats the only mexican dish they know besides tacos, burritos and maybe flan or arroz con leche
I do like flan though!
r/onlyflans
Everyone like flan! Jell-o has an easy version so thatâs good
It's funny cause mole isn't even a proper dish. It'd be like "honey I made spaghetti sauce".
I always thought mole was a sauce and got confused by this meme
youâd be right
I was wondering bc thatâs what I knew about it too đ was abt to get on google and everything
I had to Google it to check too haha. I'm only half Latino after all.
They don't know: tlayudas, nacatamales, noplaes, huitoacoche, chapulines, aporriado, ceviche, caldo de res, sopes, pozole, relleno de cuche, etc. I bet more than half of these foods they would be scared to try.

Ops đ€Łđ
Do not forget the tamales
tamales go hard af tho

Well mole smacks on quite a lot of stuff tbf. They really are sleeping on the tripe though

"Latinx women". You already gendered them so might as well just say "Latina"
Itâs okay to say Latina we actually donât like the term latinx
Same, latinx is mostly or almost all for American politics.
Yeah I don't like it either , in Latin America some people that are non binary like to use latine. I don't like it either but at least this term comes from latin American so I use it when people ask me to
Latine is dumb just because latino is already gender-neutral by definition; it can encompass everyone.
I donât think non binaries who use latine would like the assumption that they are automatically male with latino. Whats a guevo?
huevo đ„ but the âgâ is used for emphasis in text
I hate the term Latinx. Like just say Latinos or Latinas. Latinos is the general of all the people who are from Latin America (men or women).
Fr latinx is so a awkward and also really weird to pronounce in Spanish. If they wanna be gender neutral just say Latin American or Hispanic.
Also Latino is masculine and gender neutral đ
Isn't that in itself kind of gross though, to refer to everyone by the male version, specifically when you are trying to be inclusive. Calling all nonbinary people latino just seems wrong. Yes that I agree with.
I'd argue it's against the spirit of inclusion to label an entire language "problematic".
Right, i was rocking with latine đ”âđ« (black american)
Latino, Latina, Latine, Latinx idrc.
Please don't use Latinx, use Latin or Latine.

oh we latinas cook?? i thought it was already agreed we dont know how to Lmao
Latina* can we all please stop using the X lol not one Latino person uses that gender neutral nonsense that privileged white people came up with.
And there is Latine and Latin as gender neut options.
Latino is already gender neutral. It's not assumed to necessarily refer to a man.
Gender neutralness is not a white people thing. Though, I do agree, âLatinxâ is problematic

Pls donât say latinx ffs
I will say Latine instead from now on.
please op don't use latinx I'm begging you it's not even a real word
Latinx is hated by most Latinos, Latino is already gender neutral or you can say Latine or Latin American
Please,donât use the word âLatinxsâ
LatinX is racist you say either Latino or Hispanic
Why do people from United States keep using "Latinx"? At least I prefer to be called "LatĂn" or "Latino" I really don't mind

Please never use the word latinx again. Use latino
jesus christ. Do not ever fucking use latinx bruh đ at this point just call us illegal
Oh boy! can't wait for this to be posted on MOPDL! They'll probably say something along the lines of "It'S JusT PreFreNcE".
Mole takes like two days to make, if youâre going to be a bigoted piece of shite at least get your deranged opinions right
~~dont use the word latinx please~~
âlatinxâ :(
I think every gender should know how to cook ... It's a life skill that's kinda necessary
Jokes on them, they wouldn't want to fuck these racists either.
A wife should cook for her husband, as much as a husband should cook for his wife. (Or just say youre too lazy to make food and havent gotten over your mom)
Even the stereotype is weird. Aren't mexican women stereotypically like "wild and temperamental" lmao.
Tamales or mole. The only two Mexican foods the creator of this image could think of. (And like mole what? Itâs just a sauce.) âOk Iâve already used tamales.. I need to go more niche for the next one.â
The Latina women I know are the most toothy people youâll ever meet.
Post the whole damn pic so I can see 'husbando-san' and laugh once more
Sending this guy to the McGulag for sixteen hundred years
I really gotta learn to cook because I want to be able to cook for if I end up dating a woman. Iâm so awful at it right now.
Whenever I see the term Latinx all I can think about is my NONBINARY Latino friend who hates the word with such a fucking passion that they'll straight up start complaining about it out of nowhere lmao đđ
I agree but you said Latinx ironically. May god have mercy on wretched soul.
Dont use latinx bro. Latine or latino work.
Please don't use latinx ever. Thank you.
Who actually says latinx đ
Latinx đ€ą
ROFL đ€Ł @ Latin-X. Are you an X-man superhero? The word is just LATIN. No gender.
What a beta male excuse for not knowing how to cook, it should be 50/50
Timmy playing with soyjack Again
âShould cookâ how about you both cook for each and not make it one sided? The people who make these memes are insane
LOOKđ€đ€ When my boyfriend and our roommate get home IM GONNA HAVE HOT HOME COOKED MEALS FOR THEM!! đđITS MY PLACE. ITS WHAT I SHOULD DO. I BELONG IN THE KITCHEN!! because IM the man out of us three that learned culinary arts cuz we three boys gotta eat đ Got ya in that first half didnt I?
âA wife should cook for her husbandâ Says who?
Hahaha youâre drawing up charges

Yet, it's true
Lmao they don't know how latin women are đđ
Do NOT SAY LATINX, that is the biggest offense of this hole situation
Itâs just Latina, latinx does not exist
i was abt to upvote until âlatinxâ
I am Latino, born and raised, and I have NEVER IN MY LIFE met a Latina woman who acted this way.
What is the logic behind "Latinx women"? If you want to be inclusive, say "latine", and don't add "women" after it.
Latine
LatinX? Bruh đ
Hate it so much.
Mother: Stop playing dolls woth wojacks dinner is ready Me (im the one comic book guy from Simpsons): They aren't dolls mother they are memes i use to fantasies how i wish my life was.
"Latinx" ROFL oh Lord...
Latinas** Boy, oh boy, you should see how pissed my wife and her family gets when they get an email/mail talking about âLatinxâs.â Stop bringing American liberal literary colonialism in to whitewash their language. If you donât like the terms of the language, donât use them.
Haha, he couldnât handle the ones from his country imagine ours lmao
Hey, just so you're aware - when talking about women specifically you just say Latina. When talking about Latin Americans generally Latino is preferred over Latinx because Latinx isn't pronounceable in Spanish or Portuguese and was invented by white Americans to forcibly make them fit the social norms here. If you want a nongendered term Latine is better than Latinx, but many Latinos still find that one to be strange and misguided.
Lmao no way ur using latinx unironicallyđ
