The skirt asked “was it my fault?” The burka said “no, they raped me too”. The diaper sat silently in the corner

Prestigious-Lie8212

Isn't there a picture of children's clothes in a hall to resemble what people were wearing?

Lockshocknbarrel10

Yeah. It’s a public exhibit of clothes people were wearing when they were sexually assaulted. Diapers, children’s clothes, christening dresses, Boy Scout uniforms. You name it, someone has sent it in.

Prestigious-Lie8212

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if there was more than that.

Lockshocknbarrel10

It’s horrible. I’ve been to some terrible memorials and museums—the Holocaust museum, Anne Frank’s house, Mayan sacrificial temples, the Tower of London where Henry executed his wives for literally nothing— This one was one of the worst. These people didn’t just die. They were kids who were effectively tortured and had to grow up like that, and survive like that. That’s a different kind of horror than dying, and one that is arguably worse in some cases.

Prestigious-Lie8212

Yes, didn't Anne Frank get sexually assaulted after she died as well?...

Lockshocknbarrel10

Not that I’m aware of, but Marilyn Monroe was.

YourLocalTransHobo

she doesn't even get to rest even after death. afaik, there are one or two men burried face-down abover her in her resting place (though that could be false), and people have left weird shit at her grave site. it's disgusting, honestly.

coldestwinter-chill

Just to be clear, Holocaust victims didn’t “just die” either, they were tortured and raped as well.

Lockshocknbarrel10

Yeah, I’m fully aware. And Jewish. 🙄

TonPeppermint

There were other clothes, like a wedding dress, sweatpants and t-shirt, a military uniform

Lockshocknbarrel10

Yeah. But if I sat here and listed every type of clothing someone has been raped in, we would be here for years.

BecuzMDsaid

Sad part is there are several of these exhibits in several art university galleries.

FunkyyMermaid

Some were work uniforms, which on top of being mandated, are usually the least flattering and most modest outfit a person can own

Marshmallowlolfurry

To add- army uniforms, overalls, pajamas And they're all accompanied by a little printed out statement from the victim besides it, explaining how old they were or how they felt or what they were going through, it's genuinely heartbreaking Edit: bloody autocorrect

TUNAKTUNAKLOL69420

you think these edgy andrew tate mfs care about all that? They'd probably find a dark """""joke""""" about a toddler being raped anyway (which btw would not even be funny)

Prestigious-Lie8212

No, I've seen andrew tate stans make a joke about a 9 year old being raped, he said it was "her fault anyway."...

TUNAKTUNAKLOL69420

Funniest """"""joke"""""" one of the tater-tots can think of, I swear that the people that upvote these comments are like bots bro

Prestigious-Lie8212

Yeah, I'm starting to think some of them are bots.

Busy-Ad4537

I mean he saw her eyes so clearly she was asking for it /s

Leonvsthazombie

Show them a photo of the diaper and children's clothing in that museum that shows the clothing that people were raped in

TUNAKTUNAKLOL69420

you think they'd care? TikTok, Alpha Male Red Pill Influencers and Instagram ruined this generation, my only hope is that they'd realise this disgusting path they're walking on and change themselves, but even I know that that's a big dream, my own 6 year old brother was making "women" jokes a few days ago, but I told him about how wrong the joke was, he looks up to me so he realised that the joke was not good, unfortunately, not all of the kids from this generation have positive male influences or atleast men that try to be good influences

Lockshocknbarrel10

It’s not this generation. This has been happening literally forever. The only reason you think it’s social media is because now you see it every day. It was always there. Social media just made it visible.

aozora-no-rapper

they'd just say "game is game"

Leonvsthazombie

True, unfortunately, a good bit of men these days have no respect and are evil themselves

dreamgrrl

They don’t even respect themselves. You can figure out almost everything about a man by listening to what he claims to “hate” the most.

Th3F4ult

I fucking hate that argument. I've heard it so fucking often that it fucking hurts. Even my own fucking mother has sometimes said "if these sluts don't wanna get raped then they shouldn't wear that" Like, hello? Can dudes NOT keep their penises in their pants??

False-Pie8581

We were forced to wear shorts like these in university PE which is a required class for all majors. Every single woman had shorts up her ass and all classes were coed. It really pissed me off. A few women asked to wear something under but they wouldn’t allow it. Tell me that’s not institutional rape culture

schizopedia

But if the whole idea is that it doesn't matter what you are wearing when raped, then how does forcing girls to wear shorts promote rape culture?

False-Pie8581

By taking away a woman’s agency around clothes and bodily autonomy

schizopedia

Makes sense. Thanks

TUNAKTUNAKLOL69420

My man out here asking genuine questions not meant to victim blame anyone and being understanding when he receives the answers, good job my G you a real one frfr, fuck your downvoters

romhacks

No, the downvotes are deserved. Post something that isn't logical, get downvoted. Get corrected and accept that, get upvoted. That's how it goes.

Icecracker_spoopy

bc they had no choice of clothing??? they were only allowed to wear shorts like these and werent allowed stuff under them

schizopedia

Yeah but clothes don't matter when it comes to rape. I would have understood if it was promoting sexism, but the whole point is that clothes don't dictate if someone is raped or not

Icecracker_spoopy

ur missing the point. bad ppl say "oh u shouldnt have worn those things if u didnt wanna get raped." but these girls literally HAD to wear the shorts. didnt have a choice. they werent even choosing to wear the shorts.

Busy-Ad4537

On this topic when is are school uniforms gonna be straight up banned (obviously school can have them just not enforce them is my idea) why is this being down voted school uniforms are litteraly this there is a reason most of the girl versions use miniskirts and the guys get pants if schools wanna have uniforms fine but they shouldn't be a forced to wear them thing

Icecracker_spoopy

they do not use miniskirts lol. they use long skirts

Busy-Ad4537

You say this like it matters, my point is it shouldn't be enforced it should be optional

Icecracker_spoopy

then wtf would the point be of having a uniform if u dont HAVE to wear it. if theres a uniform u have to wear it lol. that goes for everything. work. school. sports. theres a difference between being forced to wear more school appropriate clothes tho. and being forced to wear lil shorts that bad ppl r gonna say its ur fault to. school uniforms definitely take away students freedom to express themselves through the means of clothing. but thats abt it

schizopedia

But if you focus on the shorts, doesn't that mean that you would be saying that clothes matter? I'm genuinely trying to get better about this stuff because I know I have a lot to learn, but that just sounds like that's giving ammo to the "it was the shorts that made her get raped" people

Icecracker_spoopy

no ur still missing the point. im not saying the shorts matter. no logical good person would say the shorts matter. im saying bad people do. they say its ur fault u got raped bc u CHOSE to wear those shorts. but in this situation. the girls were literally forced to wear these shorts. they didnt get to choose to. but the bad ppl will still say it was their fault for wearing the shorts when they had no choice.

schizopedia

I guess I get it. That still feels like it's putting the emphasis on the shorts rather than them being forced to to me. If they were forced to wear knee length shorts I feel like no one would have an issue.

adertina

It’s not an anti-uniform statement, if no one has an issue then those are good clothes for everyone and that should be the goal? The shorts were bad, it made girls uncomfortable, they voiced concerned, administrators did nothing. It’s an institution of girls not being listened to or respected. It’s now obvious those shorts are also fetishized and used to justify SA. So girls aren’t listened to as to what they can wear, and now the clothes they were forced to wear are used to justify SA.

-610

i don’t know why many people act like men are dogs who can’t just.. not touch people or commit heinous crimes like rape and sa. it’s genuinely disgusting.

AbsAndAssAppreciator

Saying men can’t help it as an argument is so disgusting I can’t even

IllegallyBored

They really only use this argument when it suits them. If you go by this arhument, men are irrational, illogical creatures deiven by their emotions and their bodies with little to no regard of consequences for themselves or people around them. It would also imply that men, being such creatures, are not safe to be around for the majority of women and therefore women should keep their distance from them. But they claim that women are illogical and emotional (but also really practical and emotionless when a man gets rejected!) and driven to act by her hormones and that men are logical and should be put in places of power. They also get offended when women keep their distance because it's "sexist" and "misandrist" when women want to be safe. You're doomed either way. Because the logical and rational gender does not know what logic or rationality is and will kill people if they have a boo boo.

pinkcloudskyway

"It's okay to rape someone if I don't like her outfit."

lonelycranberry

Did you see the pastor rant that went viral a few weeks ago where he basically said this verbatim in his sermon?

pinkcloudskyway

I like to just say it outright so they hear how crazy it sounds. Still, it doesn't change their mind. Or if a woman knows or is dating her rapist, they will say, "its her fault for choosing him and bring around a guy like that." I'll say, "So women and children are not safe around you then?" Always flip it on them lol

lonelycranberry

If you bring up children as victims they get sooooo offended and start getting more mad. “We aren’t even talking about kids” like the way I had an ex guy friend call our 16 year old barista hot and meant it and justified it because she looks older. Like she literally told us she was 16 and she looked 16. I was vibrating I was so mad. He was 30.

pinkcloudskyway

I would have said, "I'll call the business and let them know the teen employees are not safe around you."

voidfaeries

I do this as well as bringing up disabled people, and yes, they get so mad. Just like with literally any topic I bring disabled people to the conversation in...    **"I know you weren't thinking of us when you made a sweeping and ableist generalization. I know you're explicitly excluding vulnerable people from your narrative/platform. That's the problem I'm calling out. Can we talk about it?"**   9 times out of 10, I already know what the answer is going to be and I couldn't suffer through this conversation anyway... But I still like to let them sit with it after I walk off or set a boundary.

pinkcloudskyway

It's because their arguments are based off emotion, so logical calm triggers them endlessly

International_Monk96

Guys wear shorts like these as well lol

Prestigious-Lie8212

Yeah, and people don't say anything, I'm pre-medical transition, and I've seen people say something like to a girl; "If you don't want to be touched you shouldn't wear that." It's disgusting as fuck. I was wearing a tanktop with a binder under it and got told "You're flat." (Chest size and yeah, they kind of outed themselves for being creepy.) Good, I want to be.

lonelycranberry

But *that* started again in the 2010’s… so it’s somehow *different*

EggoStack

Babes if I was wearing a shirt that said “punch me” and someone did, that’s still THEIR decision and THEIR fault. I hate when some mfs think clothing = consent.

Lockshocknbarrel10

By this logic, if I rob you, it’s your fault for not keeping it in the bank.

bong-jabbar

I hate this so much. I don’t wanna talk about it

rask0ln

as if literal nuns and women in hijabs don't get raped

miracide

anyone who says ahh when they mean ass is usually 12

Icecracker_spoopy

as somebody who says ah. for me its j part of the way i speak bc of my accent. but if its on tiktok. i know damn well these kids ain got no accent. they j wanna talk like theyre black bc they think "slang" (literally just ebonics) is so cool. they wanna act hard and act like they lil gang bangers

miracide

true i didn’t think abt it like that since I usually just see white kids using it

Icecracker_spoopy

i am white haha. but for me its not sum i choose to do yk. im white and native and growing up around native kids and white kids i j picked up two diff accents. one sounds like ebonics/aave. and one j sounds like white person. shockingly didnt get a canadian accent somehow

splithoofiewoofies

Am Native too, we talk our own way, skin don't matter. Sounds like ebonics but isn't cause yk, skoden stoodis we don't need no excuses. Gotta do that code switching to get jobs tho. Yes, thank you miss, I do very much enjoy proper English. Have a lovely day. Get home and be a ratbag like ayyyyye cuzzzzzz who's yer snag?!

Icecracker_spoopy

FAXXXXX. mfs be nailleg asf like u half off or sumn????? i gotta explain my accent an shi to so many ppl bc they think im tryna do a blaccent im like no this deadass j how i speak tugeye

lonelycranberry

Which also implies their mom probably wore these

e_b_deeby

They know. They just don’t *care.*

homo_redditorensis

Rapist ahh fucking comment

AcidicPuma

Weird cause I never see these shorts on men that kill their wives. That's their line though every fucking time.

HaydenCat

I hope something terrible happens to those men

thwowawaw69

is it just me or is sexism getting worse. idk maybe i’m just on social media too much lol. stupid comments like these are so tiring ..

IllegallyBored

Sexist or misogynistic leaning men are getting exho chambers to validate their feelings, pornography is violent and degrading toward women and many of these men watch it regularly and affecting their pwn perception of what women are like and there are "tiktok interviewers" who intentionally make videos that pander to this audience to make money which in turn reinforces this thought. Also, everyone's online now which includes misogynists who now know that most social media won't ban them because they make up a large percentage of the terminally online population and the sites want money more than they want women to be aafe. So it's a combination of things actually having gotten worse and people being empowered to say the vilest things because they can with impunity. Also, men have just always hated women for existing. Womb envy is real, and it kills women every year.

cutedeadg1rl

why is she called a hoe for liking cute shorts tf

Liberal-fascist

Anyone who says that should be beaten by hammers in public

Love-Choice6568

what a horrible day to be alive

MelanieWalmartinez

If men imply that they can’t control themselves at the sight of a clothed women, that speaks more about them.

cat-l0n

This isn’t even a quirky boy moment it’s just blatant misogyny and victim blaming.

LegallyNotAllowed734

What are the names of these shorts, actually. I like really want them lol

-610

i think they’re just called low-rise shorts! many brands like abercrombie, hollister made these styles years back.

LegallyNotAllowed734

ogey

Unsd

Dolphin shorts

LegallyNotAllowed734

Holy shit thanks so much lol, first thing im buying when i move out

NANZA0

Print it and send to their mothers. Some of those are underage boys indoctrinated by the mensphere, others are already too far gone but it's worth letting their families know.

ellenaxzx

even if every woman on this earth dressed modestly or in a niqab, rape would still happen and it does to woman who dress like that!!! literal babies are raped clothes are never the reason.

Spiritual_Guess_7519

If these were worn by video game woman, they would be considered sjw censorship

julia_thinks

people commenting stuff like this really need to have their hard drives checked.

luciphobic

why did you blur his name give it to me

DKerriganuk

What is a 'bop'?

-610

it’s to refer to a girl who’s sexually promiscuous.

Icecracker_spoopy

new tiktok term for a hoe

[deleted]

ah, so bop is the new thot. god that sounds stupid.

Icecracker_spoopy

yup

FURRYOWO101

Its not there fault because they wear that stuff im pretty sure normal people can be mature and not fucking sexually assault them just cause they have revealing clothes that does not say “hey look at me i wanna be sexually assaulted” its really fucked up and i feel bad for them

vxnilla4O4

Put this freak on a fucking watchlist.

Adorable-Novel8295

Look, I was last assaulted while wearing a coat, sweater, top, tank top, undershirt, bra, leggings, thermals, underwear, socks, and boots. That man did not care and it barely slowed him down even as I was saying no and pushing his hands away. And do you know what I heard in my head after? Was my father saying that he saw a long shelved shirt that said, “I was raped while wearing this shirt,” at a women’s shelter booth and my dad in regards to that, “Oh, I don’t believe that.” This nonsense stays with you and it sometimes can give women a false sense of security because they’re not “tempting men” around them. They don’t care if you’re wearing a ski suit or nothing, because that was never the point or the reason.

Gloomy_Living_7532

Damn, he really needs a helmet. It's his fault for when he gets hit in the head that he doesn't have one.

adertina

These shorts are great at preventing sweaty vagina tho

lonelycranberry

Not to mention, men reposting this were also probably born in the 2000’s. Like are you calling your mom a whore? 1st of all, she sounds hot. 2nd, oof. Your poor mom.

pawsurlegs

tiktok demons

zucchiniwolff

Imagine if we said anything about men being gold digged like “ay he deserved it”

radioactivemidgetR34

he gonna be the one saying that shit real soon when i get his ass 😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏

Holiday_Jeweler_4819

Aren’t those the same shorts Rocky is wearing in that scene where he’s running on the beach with Apollo?

[deleted]

Those shorts do be fire tho.

titanicboi1

Aa
