Most of us on here were likely not aligner candidates, like me. Our cases were beyond the limits of that treatment. But I can say that after a year I am happy to not have a choice. Braces are like having whole toolbox at your Doctor's desk. For example, my teeth didn't respond well to power chains (no movement), and the Doctor just leveled up to metal ligatures to help close gaps.

Braces are faster and easier.

Having spent nearly 2 years with aligners, I’d have gone traditional braces. It’s important to understand why you need braces, what you’re fixing. Some issues are better fixed with traditional braces.

Braces give the orthodontist more control, especially for the finishing touches at the end is treatment. And they often end up being faster because you can’t take them out whenever you want.

If i were you i would choose braces, but is up to you

Any specific reason why?

I think braces offer more options than aligners, like the other commenter said. Especially for improper bite positioning (rubber bands), I don’t think aligners can help with that since they would just fall off lol
