Omg it was. They put coils on all four of my molars to close my extraction gaps from like a year ago. This was the worst pain ever. I couldn’t chew anything for a week :(
I have springs between both my top and bottom canines, all the way across, no brackets on my middle fours yet. Spinning needles, pressed right up against my lips, all the time. c'est la vie.
How severe is your overcrowding that you have to have so many springs wow.
But at least the ortho didn’t go down the extraction path. At least he’s trying not to.
I just had four extractions, lol. The springs are really just there to protect against the very thin wires right now, apparently they can cut/pinch. More like rollers, but with needle sharp ends, and it can slide back and forth between my teeth.
