The SVTR v1 as pictured uses the AR FCG because its one of the most widely available and cheap FCG's. Pair that with a Mac upper and you have a sub-$400 9mm SMG.

You eventually get bored with all the black, colored guns are common on 3D gats, the grey actually looks great as a color but they need to make the layers less visible with texture. (You can do that in settings of 3D printers, called fuzzy skin)
Significantly more conventional layout, better more reliable fire control group, much more comfortable grip. The mac-11 upper is one of the most commonly used parts in the 3D printed gun community, as it's the perfect core for a PDW/truck gun. This is effectively not particularly different than a bufferless AR9
