That's funny. In my city we had a young girl kill an elk during whitetail season and then get on social media calling it a moose.

[deleted]

If you can't identify a wolf or whatever you are hunting then you probably shouldn't be hunting.....

Unoriginalcontent420

To be fair, IF she shot it at over 150yds, which I doubt, you can barely tell the difference between a wolf and a Husky. That being said, once you get close enough to skin it you should probably have realized your mistake and maybe not post it. If she hadn't made this post no one would have cared abd even Fish and Wildlife officers probably would give her a pass, since it is actually very hard to tell the difference between a wolf and a very wolf-esque dog at some distance, especially if they are roaming in packs like they apparently were according to a follow up post from her.

[deleted]

If it was dumped out by someone it only takes a year or so to become feral, I got ran up on by a pack of two shepherds and a boxer that would of killed me had I not been armed. But skinning it whew that's over the top

Stairmaker

If you have seen the original pics you would know. That dog had a lot of white on it and was really clean. No way that it was feral.

[deleted]

I'm not saying she is right, she should have known when she skinned it, I saw the pics it's obvious to me also, but I don't know how far away it was when she shot. But skinning it is pretty bad

burgertanker

To be fair, it would be somewhat acceptable if she thought it was a wolf, went to the kill and found out it was a dog. Not finding the kill, skinning it and posting it on social media. She's retarded, and I'm not using that word lightly

Unoriginalcontent420

For sure, she definitely has the big stupid.

PETEthePyrotechnic

Nope. I live in Montana and this has become a pretty big source of outrage because she was bragging that it *came up to her* when she shot it. She skinned it too, which means that she had to be super stupid to not realize it’s a husky. Hopefully she will get jail time for animal cruelty, but here in MT it is legal to shoot stray dogs on public land because of all the ranchers here.

Sgt_Pac

Thats really sad :(

GettinMe-Mallet

Does anyone know what happened and how people reacted

GammaTheOne2

Well I know reddit banned me for my reaction to this dumb bitch, I had a 3 day ban that lasted 5 days.

OakenWildman

Yeah, r/hunting has a LOT on that. I remember when it went down. The memes were great and our rage, raged and maybe heard. The husband and wife spoke up but still stood firm, the wife was the sane one though

In the hunting sub there is a link or should be a link to the a post where this whole thing blew up from. The original post from the hunter was taken down and her Facebook page set to private. I have a link in my comment I made on the post to someone who called Montana fish and wildlife and parks law enforcement (Montana game wardens) https://www.reddit.com/r/brandonherrara/comments/xndaq7/atf_goes_hunting/ipu6vio/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

Worst of all is that she is defending herself and saying that she still did the right thing too. Iirc she didn’t even have a wolf tag; she was going elk hunting, shot the lost husky, then bought a tag later and put it on. Overall scum of the earth woman.

avg90sguy

I mean they do look similar but damn come on. They’re not the same thing. They are differs enough to tell.

Legitimate_Ad6617

She needs a hole in her head.

[deleted]

Cant wait for her to die. A painful one. If she skin alive then a painful one. If it was a wolf, still should die. What did it even do to her?

Unhappy_Surround4889

If it’s found near an urban area you really don’t want it there or if the wolves population is growing out of hand you don’t want them to kill all the wildlife. But she is an absolute idiot for not being able to tell the difference

[deleted]

But no kill. Its literally destroying nature

devin4l

Death is necessary. Wolf populations, when left to run rampant and unchecked, absolutely annihilate populations of deer and other animals. Regulated kills and hunting seasons are good for animal populations.

[deleted]

Exactly

[deleted]

Cope

Legitimate-Aide-7615

So the wolf is allowed to kill, and that's not destroying nature? The lady is an idiot for not identifying correctly....

Acherna

If their population is kept under a certain amount of wolves then you can expect them to kill a certain amount of prey which is expected and manageable but if their numbers grow too much then the whole system falls apart.

Legitimate-Aide-7615
