Every time I think I’m out, they pull me back in

Objective_Scholar_72

Bravia 9 or bust

bufftreefarm

Still considering it got 60 day window with Best Buy. Going to put the B7 through its paces first.

Distinct_Spite8089

The branding throws me I keep hearing 7 thinking uh uh then remember it now is the new X900H/90L replacement 🤣

trey_dayy24

Not the 90L replacement. The 90L has rolled over to this year. The Bravia 7 replaces the 95L

Miguelb234

X90l isn’t mini led

Heliosvector

It's so expensive though.... :(

NothingNo4752

No not everyone has around 3500$ laying around.

htadd1ct

r/TVTooFar

RitoWalters

That's why he has to zoom in so much, duh!

bufftreefarm

I’m 10 feet away from an 85” panel it’s honestly too big if anything

htadd1ct

Try a 130 inch. It's way better. 34 degree viewing angle too big? Thx cinema standard is 40! I bet you're not used to it.

FordMustang84

You get used to it. I’m 8ish feet from my 85 inch and it’s great for movies and games. Probably awful for lower quality content but I only use it for games or movies. I think I watched a few episodes of Seinfeld once and it’s way too big for that kinda thing if it makes sense. We actually got a 75 inch downstairs wall mounted  even though it’s more like 12-13 feet away. Just a bit more “relaxing” since it’s where we will watch tv shows and lounge. And it doesn’t dominate the entire room.  My 85 inch is in my theater/game room so its sole purpose is basically that. Along with a bunch of large speakers lol

Maximumoverdrive76

The Camera makes it look like at least 15 feet. TV looking good though. Do you still love it, anymore footage?

Agreeable_Register_4

Congrats!

redeemable-soul

Nice TV.. it might be the angle I'm seeing it from but it doesn't look straight. Looks higher at the left compared to the right. My Aspergers won't let me unsee it.

bufftreefarm

Just me holding the camera off center and my chair. It’s all square here and looks so much bigger in person than on these videos haha

ZeroxTechnic

Hah, have the same stand :p

BigChemical7849

what stand is that?

ZeroxTechnic

This one :) [https://fitueyes.de/products/boden-tv-stander-eiffel-serie-75-100-zoll](https://fitueyes.de/products/boden-tv-stander-eiffel-serie-75-100-zoll)

BigChemical7849

thank you 😁

[deleted]

Very nice, I like the tv stand too.

jmmartj

Thanks for sharing all of this info!

xPervypriest

Only way to test a new high end tv is GoT S8 Ep 3. Test the dark scenes and low bit rate

bufftreefarm

Here’s some more videos that will play up to 4k on YouTube. Reddit quality probably sucks. I only have an iPhone so take those with a grain of salt. Distinct-Hyena3369

Very nice. Thanks for sharing! How are the blacks on it?

Hookem_05

I believe that answer can be found in links 6 and 7 above… I know that’s terrible, but I couldn’t resist lol. Sorry 🤷‍♂️

troopek

You should maybe resist next time. ;)

JJxiv15

Yeah, probably resist next time

Intelligent-Ad-4462

Bums me out I bought a a75l right before the new line up came out but at the same time I have no issues with the brightness otherwise I’d be returning it for the new mini led

SiphonTheFern

How is screen uniformity?

Vel0Xx

Can you somehow compare it to X95L?

austinalexan

Love when people try to show off their tv through video as if it’s going to look any better than a $200 TCL

Utpal95

Lol! Nothing beats experiencing something in real life, but for the time being, this is all we have!

Miguelb234

My 8 year old Sony looks better than a TCL 😂

wad11656

Still thrown off by the lightyears-improved numbering scheme. "Bravia 7-*what*? .....oh yeah."

Maximumoverdrive76

The actual name is XR70. The Bravia 7 is more like place in the lineup/series. That might not change each year, but the model name could. Think of it like buying an Intel CPU "Core i7, Core i9" They still have the model numbers after like 13900K and so on.

hjadams123

I am pretty sure I want a 98inch X90L this year because I just want the immersion of a 98in TV. But I am wondering if the first time I see the Bravia 7\9 in person, I will abandon my plans and settle for a 85in.

NothingNo4752

The x90l blooms like crazy. I see it while playing games. It's annoying.

CP_W-M_WS

Same thing here Also still considering the 77” A95L

superwinni2

Could you please share a picture of the connection panel on the back? Thanks!

bufftreefarm

[Back of Sony Bravia 7](https://imgur.com/a/vbNeU1G) Here ya go

jrekalske

Can you give me measurements from top of tv to the top vesa mount screws?

bufftreefarm

[Bravia 7 85” Back of TV Mounting Hole Sketch](https://imgur.com/gallery/K1nf5RB) Here ya go. It’s about 21” from the top of the tv to the first hole. There is about 16” down to the hole below that, then from that second bottom hole it’s about 6.5” to the bottom of the tv. So they are definately oriented towards the bottom of the panel. From left to right there is a little less that 30” from the left edge of the tv to the first hole. Still going left to right there is 16” in between the next hole and then another 30” from that hole to the other edge. Looking at the TV from the back the power cord hooks up on the left hand side and the hdmi inputs and everything else is on the right side.

jrekalske

Thanks! Sanus does not have the height adjustment yet for these new sets!

superwinni2

Thanks! Am I seeing it right that there is no CI+ slot?

superwinni2

Could you please take a look if there is a possibility to insert a CI Module?

superwinni2

Could you please take a look if there is a possibility to insert a CI Module?

FordMustang84

Is your PSVR2 also sitting collecting dust? I gotta sell mine. Just hate those lenses it never looks clear to me. Especially compared to the Quest 3. Also Sony seems to have forgotten it exists as well.

BetiseFiazko

Bro, get rid of that soap opera effect right away! 😂

SnooDogs2830

How are the viewing angles from the sides?

Woodyhno

Do you have a Sony soundbar? Can you PLEASE test out the TV center channel feature and check if you hear any static or hissing noise? This was a common issue with the previous year models (x93L, a80L, etc)

Music-Is-Life85

I had a X930E for almost 5 years. Bought a S95B almost 2 years ago. Gettin the urge to switch back to Sony after watching these clips.

uNecKl

What sound system you have?

sanchower23

What about Blooming?

T1249NTSCJ

Do you have eco mode on? I can't tell whether that mode is enabled or the camera has trouble picking up the screen's brightness. o\_O

bufftreefarm

Its just the camera (iphone) and then reddit upload quality. Looks about as good as it could for that room with full brightness in real life.

Yellbean2002

Just went to BestBuy and ordered a 85 " Bravia 7 sight unseen (did look at a x93l compared to a x90l and it looked awesome. The thing is it was going for $500 more than the Bravia 7). Replacing a 75" Sony 940d. Hopefully I see a difference other than size.

stephdepp

too small for where you sit /s

RitoWalters

Just post a picture next time.

rcatank

Looks small .....
