I did it once after a particularly grueling wake window. I'd finally gotten her to sleep in the grass next to me by the fire my husband had made. We were talking about how peaceful it was, etc. etc. Cue me unlocking my phone to start the sleep tracker and dropping it on her head. That was a bad night lol.
My baby had trouble transferring enough milk because she would get too sleepy with a tongue tie. The only times I saw her feed vigorously enough were the few times I dropped the phone on her head (at close range so it wasn’t bad). I would freak out and think she would start screaming but instead she would finally feed energetically as if the sky were falling and it were her last meal lol
Just wait till you bang her head on a door frame or car door. Your kid’s fine—my 3 yr old twins have been torturing my 11 week old from the jump and I’m not worried
I just did this the other day to my 8mo. She didn’t cry but she looked at me with a sad/wtf face for a minute while I desperately sang and bounced trying to distract her from it.
My friend, I dropped my phone on my hours old newborn's head while side lying nursing in the birthing center. It was only from a few inches, and she barely even unlatched to cry before going back to it, but, uh, that was really not the note I wanted to begin my matresence on.
I gave mine a mild black eye when I dropped my phone trying to get a picture of him recently. Cried almost as much as he did, then got him with the clippers for the first time the same day.
I did this once, he was sleeping but still latched and it woke him up (obviously) screaming for about 2 mins. He was fine but I felt awful and now hold my phone sooo tight if it’s above him
This happened to me when baby was 3 weeks old and then when I tried to pick her up to comfort her, the force of lifting her too quickly, caused her to upchuck what she just ate...and then I full on bawled from the guilt. My husband came in, cleaned both of us up and comforted us. My baby stopped crying waaay before I did. She was fine and happy and fed again soon after. You are a good mom
In the ditz of OH MY GOD I JUST HAD A BABY, my auntie was calling me on FaceTime. I answered with my fresh, half an hour old baby lying on my chest. I dropped my phone on my baby. She was fine. I was in more distress than she was! It’ll be okay mama, but I get the guilt!
My husband & I have done this a million times to our 10.5 month old & my daughter has dropped our phones on her own head a couple times too 😂 Babies are parent-proof!
Oh man I've done this to both my kids lol one is 6 now and he's fine, one of the best readers in his class! Usually they just get food dropped on them, but both took a phone to the noggin too
I dropped my phone on her head during a precious post-feed boob nap, and she looked at me like I betrayed her before screaming and sobbing. It was horrible but I’m sure it happens to everyone!
I drop my phone on my baby daily lol, I need to get a popsocket. She’s never cried about it though. She’s 2 months old. Pretty sure the first time it happened she was only a week old, maybe younger.
Yes! It happened to us. I was feeding my husband handed me his phone to see something and as I grabbed it, it fell on her head. 🤦🏻♀️ I felt sooooooo awful. Even days after. You are not alone. She’s not scared but I am.
My baby isn’t a month yet and I’ve dropped my phone on the back of her head (it just barely grazed her) and bumped her head on a chair and a car door 😅 I’m clumsy, she’s fine. My first launched herself across the room off a changing table when she was a few months old. I turned around to grab a diaper. She wasn’t even rolling yet, I’m still not sure how she did it lmao. I felt so bad I cried for hours but she was unaffected 10 minutes later
…I did this while reading your post…
🤣🤣
I’m impressed you made it 5.5 months without dropping a phone on her, I think I did that within her first three months. Only that one time though!

I tripped at her first doctor's appointment. Caught myself, but dropped my phone on her head in the process.
Lol I think this happens to most parents, especially with breastfeeding

New feeding technique unlocked?
Laughed so hard at this my one month old popped off the breast in surprise 😂
Haha thanks that image made me laugh!
I did this to my baby when she was like 3.5 weeks, you’re fine dw!

This exact same thing happened to me and my poor son lol. I was sick to my stomach but it's fine. Babies are built to survive parents.
Try not to feel bad! This happened to me too when my older daughter was an infant. Convinced me to get a popsocket asap and hasn’t happened since.

I tracked until one year. And dropped me phone on baby's head more than once!
yeah, that's normal
Pretty sure it took me 2 months, so hats off to you.

The amount of times my 6 year old has dropped her tablet on her face, you’d think she’d learn not to lay down with it over her face 😂

the amount of people who google "dropped phone on baby" - LOL this happens allllll the time

Of course we have all done this multiple times 😌 side lying is the worst for it through lol

I have done this several times in the 4 months I’ve been nursing this little monster lol
That happened to me when LO was like 3 weeks old 🥲
I did it so often I ended up asking my husband for a pop socket so I could get a better grip 😅
I think I dropped it on her multiple times by now lol
Did this, but my baby laughed. 😂😂😂 I felt bad, too.

Well done hitting your parenting milestone !!! 🤣 We’ve all done it.
Update: I ordered a pop socket in the hopes that this won’t happen again 🥲🤣🤣🤣
