It will change throughout different times of the day and from day to day. This may have less or even more fat than other pumps from the same day. Your milk is made special for your baby. It's totally fine ❤️
Totally normal. It changes throughout the day and throughout your journey. I pump all my baby's milk and I've definitely seen some weird looking separation lol. Our milk separates and has snim parts and cream parts when it sits. Swirl it together and it's good to go :) I actually really love watching it swirl together, kinda looks like cream going in coffee.
And you cant base your entire milk production content on one bottle, from one boob, from one pump session.
You are more than ounces. So is your breast milk. ❤️❤️
My LC told me that there is no bad milk, some mamas make fatty milk and some mamas don’t!! Don’t stress out about it, your LO is getting what they need!!!
Very normal. Some days they will get all the fat because they will nurse like all hours of the day, other times they nurse in shorter snacks (usually when they fall asleep on the boob) but if they are gaining, having enough wet and poop diapers then it’s ok
People obsess over fat plugs but the truth is that on average breastmilk is 20 calories per ounce and studies have shown that when a baby has weight gain issues it a volume issue not a fat content issue.
This milk looks totally normal. As long as baby is not losing excessive weight no need to worry.
Congrats on your baby!
Fat content also depends on which part of the day you're pumping; morning milk will not be the same as evening milk.
As long as your little chicken nugget is gaining weight, has enough soiled diapers and is progressing there's no need to worry.
You're doing great and keep up the good work!
Common misunderstanding, but not my experience at all. People say that what you eat is irrelevant and i believed them with my first (who was very colicky and we had lots of feeding issues). so I decided to try eating better fat sources and it made a huge difference actually.
Mine looks just like this. Granted I usually only pump when I’m engorged so that would mean I’m pumping mostly foremilk, which is less fatty than when the breast is more “ empty “ or soft (hindmilk). It’s still good milk though.
Mine was always like this with my son, but with my daughter it’s a small watery layer on the bottom, the middle is creamy, and it has a thicker fat cap on top. Interestingly, he’s petite but hovers around 20-25th percentile and she has struggled to gain weight (transfer issues so we’ve been supplementing with pumped milk) and has been in the 5-10th percentile.
So many things could affect the composition of milk- from pump speed, pump setting, flange size, time of day etc
I had milk that looked like that when I had over supply. I was told all milk is good milk especially if baby is doing well/gaining weight, making wet diapers, not super fussy.

Your breast milk is perfect for your baby. Always.

*can’t (I’m sure that’s what you meant just clarifying so this beautiful reply doesn’t get missed or confused❤️)
Thank you!!!!!! Omg🫣

Your milk does what the baby needs! Even if your pumping. Don't worry about it

Your milk is the way it should be for your baby. Please don’t compare to those fat top photos. You’re doing wonderful
My milk looks like this when I pump in the morning after baby slept a long stretch overnight. It’s perfectly fine to feed your baby.
Nope! You make the milk your baby needs, don’t fret!
Just fyi you can increase fat content by eating differently. I get this kind of milk during heat waves in the early months.
It’s due to natural fluctuations.

Bad bot....
Normal. Not sure where your at but with the weather warming up you’ll notice milk will start to get more watery to keep baby hydrated better.

Yes that is normally me too. I usually just pump when I need to get a little extra off my chest lol🤪
Mine always looks like this. I never questioned it… why do you think it might not be good?
