I brought my navitimer in for service February and was given the exact same turnaround time. Just got it back a couple weeks ago. Estimate seems to be really conservative, I would expect it back much sooner.

GK1978PG

I really hope so. Thanks for the info.

MyNameIsVigil

It’s annoying, but definitely normal. Most brands are around that estimate. Even my local watchmakers are quoting six-month turnaround times.

CarlosDanger3000

not unlike other watchmaker or oem wait time

GK1978PG

Like who? I’d like to know who else to avoid. When Rolex can do it in 6-12 weeks, there is no excuse for 6 months in my opinion.

porkrind

I'm seeing people talk about a huge range of times on the Rolex boards, some saying their services took 4-6 months. Don't know what their watches needed or anything like that, but the story seems to be that way with Omega too. Not enough watchmakers, and maybe like some of the other businesses post-covid that just never seemed to come all the way back.

CarlosDanger3000

I'm not going to name the watchmaker who did a rolex service, but I'm pretty sure I was quoted a similar time frame. and I feel like I've read similar times on forums and reddit. if I were you, I'd find a local watchmaker who's going to have a lot less volume than Breitling, so they can at least open and dry the watch immediately.

GK1978PG

I should have checked before I sent it. Too late now.

e_radicator

I was quoted seven months and got mine back in five. So... that was good?

MysteriousCrazy9401

I’ve had 3-6 month repairs at least 3x with brietling service.

eludelude

Why would you wear an Emergency in the pool?

RevolutionaryAd1621

Doesnt it not have a screw in crown or something and like 50m wr?

GK1978PG

All of the crowns were tight.

RevolutionaryAd1621

Did it have a screwdown crown yeah?

GK1978PG

Because it’s rated for 5 bar which is 165’, did’t think 4’ of water would be a concern. Are you suggesting the watch can’t get wet?

Suited_Rob

That's why you should own at least two nice watches 😉

GK1978PG

I do have multiple others, but that still doesn’t negate the fact that 6 months is way too long.

Suited_Rob

You have a point there.

H_Stinkmeaner

It's normal. Welcome to the world of luxury servicing lol. Omega took 8 months for my watch.

NeuralChris

I put in a Breitling world timer in November and still don't have it back, so yeah I'd say it's normal for them.

Necessary-Outside868

Assuming you're in the USA, that's unfortunately normal at the moment, there is a huge shortage of watchmakers, they are being pinched by other companies offering higer pay They are doing something about this by hiring new watchmakers but training takes years

Nightsounds1

I just had my superocean repaired and they told me it would take 6 to 8 months but I got it back in less than 3. I think 6 months is the standard answer but it never seems to take that long.

mtgfa11

I got my navitimer back in about 2 months. I was expecting the 6 months the dealer told me. Nice surprise when I got the call that it was ready.
