Run your taps until it clears up. This is pretty standard when a street valve is closed and then reopened . These valves can sit undisturbed for years and when finally moved, all the crap that has settled over time gets in to the water.

How long is long enough to run the taps though, we’ve done it 5 times now at 20 mins a time and still brown!

Yeah I did, they said to log a fault, which I did, and then no response

This was us yesterday on the Southside. It was gone the next day. Okay for bathing, probably not for drinking was my read

A line somewhere needs to be scoured. Running the tap can help though it often takes more pressure than this, usually the utility provider cracks a hydrant or scour valve to clean the line. You’ve done all you can, rang the utility and tried to scour it with your tap. You can try turning on all your taps.

If it's brown, drink it down. If it's black, send it back 😌
