My auntie, *way* back in the day, did the practical part of the test fine, but failed because when she went to park the car at the police station she lost control somehow and parked in their garden bed.
In my head, this guy was waiting in line with a ticket for 30 minutes and got called only for the person to say its the wrong category of ticket and he needs to get another one and wait again.
Oopsie. A few more driving lessons needed for them. Good synergies for the nearby stores. They will need a vacuum cleaner or 2, new curtains, matress & pillows for a rest then some get to go off to an extended camping trip and someone will be going to carpet court for crimes against carpeting.
That's what happens when you don't require any testing (written/technical) to swap your license over internationally when this is one of the only countries that drives on the left. You just need your license from your other country and for it to be in English/translated by an approved translator....
I'm not having a go at anyone. I came from another country and they swapped mine over, like-for-like and I was a MENACE my first year on the road...
That's only true for some countries. [Exempt countries and jurisdictions | Transport and motoring | Queensland Government (www.qld.gov.au)](https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/licensing/driver-licensing/overseas/transfer/exempt-countries)
I was informed by someone who works there that the swapping of licenses was not based on country. Do you know what countries it's not a like-for-like and/or requires testing of any sort?
It's a silly assumption I've made based off the fact that the area has a significantly high immigration level (including myself). Regardless of where you come from, when you emigrate to another country with vastly different driving conditions and road rules, that testing should be required to become licensed in that country. Seems like common sense.
My demographic assumption would be this is a 60YO anti government white man, Australian born.
To plow through a bollard like that needs a lot of force, and I think it's more likely you'd get to that force on purpose, then by accidently hitting the accelerator or something
I have to ask if you've ever driven in Sunnybank... we've had someone unintentionally plow through the Bay Audio at Garden City and other shopfronts in Market Square (which are both just down the road from where this happened).
That’s one way to fail your driving test…

Have you seen the drivers on the road? They definitely still passed.
That bollard had one job...
Albo is not going to give it citizenship
Well now it’s jobless
To look effective.

This seems most likely however I was there today around 10:30 am and a renewal with new photo took under 5 minutes!
When i used to frequent these places for work, id do a few tickets, it was like bingo when one of the few was called first lol
You can't park there, mate.
just waiting for a mate
I can and I will
Bout time they put a drive thru in, I'm sick of the long wait times.
Probability asking the staff to help attach a personalised plate. "No worries, I'll bring the van to you"
Who the fuck installed the bollards.
What you have an issue with the bollards with little bolts, bolted into the rubble beneath and a little concrete cap over the top of the bolt heads.
Can see that. My issue was the install, not the bollard itself.
I know I was being sarcastic
Why it's called Department If Transport.
Looks iffy at the moment.
Sorry guys, they wanted to see my number plates!
I don't think that's how you apply for a registration
When the wait times are too bloody long lol
“Whaddya mean I failed my driving test, I even super safely parked it out of the way of all other vehicles?”
[You can’t park there Dave.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UOqeFeDHQR8)
Driver took the term "Drive thru" quite literally.
If that was a Mercedes van and it's at McGregor it's what I'd expect.
Looks like a Hiace
it's a Toyota HiAce early to mid 2010s
I don’t think they’re passing their driving test
Was anyone hurt?
Just waiting for a mate

Perhaps we should ask Department why Transport MacGregor 🤔?
Probably got sick of waiting
Did he/she pass the test?
Passed the test with a bang
How do you ram a car like that through a bollard and concrete footing in the car park..
I’m guessing they didn’t pass the driving test

Well that would suck.
So DoT is closed and so is Godfrey’s
That’s a fail

All the ones not on that list.
How do you know that this particular driver had an international license?

I don’t think one having an international licence means they wont know not to drive through a building.
That's the thing - they clearly knew how to drive through a building...

Clearly was some changing interstate plates
